Atlantic Hotel in Paris

It was a truly awful experience. The elevator was small and prone to breaking down. The second day it broke down, and people inside were stuck for a long time. It wasn't fixed even by the time I checked out. I had to lug my huge suitcase down six flights of stairs by myself. When I was checking out, I had already called a car at the door, but they stopped me and said three bath towels were missing from my room! They said I had asked the staff to deliver them that morning. When my friend asked what time they delivered them, they couldn't answer because I had left very early that morning. They said they would wait for the housekeeping staff to come down and check, but the housekeeping staff took 5-10 minutes to arrive. The car I had called was waiting at the door, so I immediately said I would call the police and check the security footage. They then told me it might be a misunderstanding. I suspect that the staff member might have misremembered the room number. I was furious. I know the French aren't meticulous, but I didn't know they could be this absurd. Such outdated management, blaming a customer for such a small matter—it's utterly garbage.

Absolutely awful. Very very basic rooms, amenities, and service. Price gouging just because it's Paris and that's about it. The staff are sloppy, unprofessional and defiant. None of this would fly anywhere else. No drinking water, cooped up rooms, spartan furnishing, dangerous bathrooms, and a decidedly rude night receptionist and front of house. This is essentially a $50 a night motel pretending to be a "3 star hotel", and charging $250 instead. Sure it's close to the St. Lazare station, but then so are a dozen other hotels. Steer clear of this dump if you
have any standards because it's clear their reviews are from folks who have none.

PS: Clueless and low accountability response from the management. Yes, it does concern the Atlantic Hotel, nimrod. I rest my case.
