I stayed at Adagio Access Marseille Saint Charles and overall had a positive experience, though the arrival could have been better.
The location is excellent! Right next to Saint Charles train station, which made getting around Marseille incredibly convenient. During my stay, the daytime staff were helpful and genuinely willing to accommodate my needs, which I really appreciated.
However, my check-in experience was disappointing. The receptionist wasn't welcoming at all and immediately asked for my ID and credit card in what felt like a suspicious or accusatory manner. While I completely understand the need to verify guest identity and payment details, the approach was off-putting. This was the first time I've experienced such an unwelcoming arrival at a hotel, and it left a negative first impression.
With a more friendly and professional check-in process, this would easily be a 5 star review. The location and service during the rest of my stay were great, but that initial interaction matters.

Hotel is just next station. The room has kitchen and cooking tools. However, there was cat in the lobby so be aware if you have allergies. Also from late night to morning, there was no hot water supplied.

I am surprised this is part of the Accor group. I would not stay again. The area is not great, wish I had researched more before going. We passed the novotel on our travels and I wish we had booked there instead. This place is easy to get to from the train station, and has its own laundry available for guests which was very useful.

The hotel is just next to the Marseille train station and very convenience to go around the city. The airport bus is also inside the train station. Just 40 mins away from the airport.
Just about 20 mins walk to the fish market and city centre and some of the sightseeing spots. The little kitchen inside the room is also very nice as we did some cooking during our stay. The staff are friendly and helpful. Recommended... 👍👍

We booked this hotel for a one night stay before our morning flight, so the location was the main criteria. It's right next to St Charles station. The staff was nice, and the hotel had everything we needed.

I chose this Adagio location primarily to be close to bus and train stations to do side trips from the city and for close access to metro lines. It was the perfect location. Before staying, I was concerned a bit about the noise from the station and the neighborhood but was pleasantly surprised. I appreciate the eco-friendly approach, allowing us to recycle trash, allow not having daily housekeeping to reduce water and chemical use and allowing the window to be opened to naturally cool the room. If you want a quiet stay, request a room facing the back courtyard.

Staff were very welcoming and friendly, even leaving a personal note in my room on my arrival. Breakfast was pretty good and the breakfast room was bright and cheerful enough. Location is very convenient for the train station, although it is near a bit of a dodgy area that doesn’t feel too safe, but this area can be avoided entirely by passing through the train station. The downside of being near the station is that the announcements can be quite loud as early as 5am in the morning, which disrupted my sleep. The hotel as a whole feels very safe and secure, which I appreciated, with keycard access required for entry to the building and to the lifts and stairwells. The rooms themselves are what lets the place down. My room was clean but quite gloomy, and felt quite poorly made in many respects: the door inside my apartment didn’t close properly, the toilet flush panel fell off in the middle of the night, and the water pressure in the shower was low. The curtains were also not that great at stopping light getting in. Overall, my experience was just okay, especially given the price is not that cheap relative to the quality.

We stayed for 2 nights mid September and received a great welcome from the lady on reception. Giving us ideas of where to visit and what to do.
Sadly the room we were in was looking dated. It needed a paint and a bit of a refresh. A couple of items were broken in the room (reported on check out) but nothing crucial.
The bed was comfy and the AC worked well. The value was also great.
It's very convenient for the airport bus, which is only a couple of minutes walk away.
If given some TLC this place could do better.
Also, having to take your rubbish out when leaving is a bit strange!
