The staff were extremely helpful, and the location offers excellent access to Marseille Saint-Charles Station. The food was great as well. I would highly recommend Toyoko Inn for anyone visiting Marseille.

Some members of the security staff were not very welcoming. Both the night and morning guards were quite intrusive, at times bordering on aggressive, which affected the overall experience.

Arriving from the Marseille bus station, we were not sure how to get to the hotel without climbing the steps. See photo. Later on, when I asked reception staff, he says we could go the opposite direction to the train station without using the steps. Clean room, comfy bed and located close to a tram stop. There are some charging ports in the lobby and places to sit. I waited one night around 8pm at the restaurant. I asked the lady at the bar if I could sit and she said yes someone would come to me. I waited and waited, but no one came, so I left. The reception staff were friendly.

I was really surprised how great this place is! The rooms are huge, and the spa is included – it just needs a little freshening up. Overall, I'd definitely recommend it, and the bar is worth checking out. Plus, their restaurant buffet is really good.

The Marseille's Village Club du Soleil is a nice place for families. It's well located (not so far from Palais Longchamps and Friche Belle de Mai). Really convenient hotel for our 1 night stay in Marseille. The selling point was the amazing restaurant but the rooms did not disappoint for the purpose that they served. Hotels should always provide water- without the amazing restaurant this would have been a 2/3 stars because there’s one water dispenser on the first floor. They seriously need to change the bed. It makes such a loud noise, it's unbearable. The shower has no splash guard, so water overflows everywhere. I asked for an accessible room, but then they told me they just patched things up. There's dried mosquito blood on the ceiling and the baseboard is broken. Conveniently located close to the airport and easily accessible by tram. Even though I checked in late, the staff was very welcoming. The welcome drink in the lobby was delicious. Clean, everything in order, amazing bed, working kitchen and coffee machine absolutely amazing. The window was directly on the street on the ground floor, and was possible to open it from outside. For security reasons I'd recommend the hostel to check a bit on that, particularly on room 4. It's good they had a safe and all to keep anything of value still.
