Guest House Cico in Telavi

My absolute favorite place to stay in Telavi and Cico is my favorite Georgian ever! So much so that I came back and stayed another night. Cico is the kindest, warmest person I have ever met. I had so many meals in her kitchen and garden, along with the coffee we used to make together. She gave me veggies and fruits from her garden. I even met some of her family and friends and they made me feel so welcomed and treated me to their dinner. The house is beautiful in itself with lovely veggies growing in the garden. The room is comfortable, AC really helps with the heat. If you can look past some of the cleanliness aspect, keeping in mind this 70+ year old lady manages it by herself, you will get the absolute best of Georgian hospitality. Cico and I didn't share the same language but the communication was flawless, we understood each other completely. Oh, the language of love. Miss you, Cico.

Staying with Cico was unquestionably one of my best experiences in Georgia. The house is huge! My room was comfy and spacious, with a private bathroom (you cannot lock the door but it's not a big deal at all). I got to spend some amazing time with Cico even without her speaking any English. She's such a lively and spirited lady. I hope you are as lucky as I was and get invited for a family dinner. Madloba Cico!!!

Cico is a great host. You can have breakfast and meals here, ask her. We have been 1 month around Georgia and we still remember breakfast at Cico's. 😀. Rooms are very nice, overall the House is nice, also à little backyard with hamoc. She speaks georgian and russian, but no english, anyway if there is something important her family does speak good english and she can call them, if they are not already around. Recommended. (5 min walking to city center and 5 min to bus station in the other direction, so it's convinient)

Good hostess, amazing house.

Good guesthouse. There are small flaws: the repair in the guest rooms has not been done for a long time, there is little lighting. But on the whole it is good, as there is a bathroom everywhere and the hostess Tsitso prepares such breakfasts, which is enough until dinner. And in general, Tsitso is very hospitable and tells how much better to get.
