I stayed at Hotel Posta in Mestia for five days during a vacation, and for a 4-star hotel, the experience was excellent. The stay felt refined, calm, and well thought out, and I enjoyed every second in Mestia.
Design & Atmosphere
The hotel is super cozy, with a beautiful mix of modern and traditional elements of Svaneti. The design is elegant, warm, and tasteful, creating a very calm and comfortable atmosphere. From the first moment, the space feels intentional and refined rather than generic.
Room & Comfort
The room was very clean, spacious, and comfortable for two people (double room).
The bed was excellent, natural light was great, and the overall layout worked very well.
All rooms have balconies with exceptional views of the beautiful surrounding mountains, which adds a lot to the overall experience.
The bathroom was amazing, with high-quality finishes and clear attention to detail.
Service
Service was professional and helpful throughout the stay. Staff were efficient, polite, and discreet, contributing to a smooth and relaxed experience without being intrusive.
Location
The location is one of the hotel’s strongest points. It is right in the center of the center of Mestia, making it extremely easy to move around on foot. The surrounding views are incredible and add a lot to the overall experience.
Food & Restaurant
The restaurant is beautiful and located on the top floor, offering mesmerizing panoramic views. It features two large terraces, which are a real highlight and make dining there especially enjoyable.
Most of the dishes were super delicious and well prepared, although a few could be improved. Breakfast was okay, solid and sufficient, though not the main highlight compared to the restaurant’s setting and dinner experience.
Wellness: Pool, Sauna & Massage
The hotel has a swimming pool, sauna, and massage room.
The swimming pool area has a beautiful design and fits well with the overall elegant atmosphere.
The sauna is okay and functional.
I didn’t use the massage service, so I can’t comment on that.
Overall, Hotel Posta is a very solid choice in Mestia. Everything worked well, the atmosphere was calm and elegant, and the location alone makes it stand out. The views from the hotel are truly majestic. The level of comfort and design is impressive. Honestly, I didn’t want to leave and will definitely come back to Hotel Posta.

Absolutely stunning. I went to spa zone(sauna + swimming pool) only 50 GEL for the day. They provide you with free towels, shoes and even robe. Tidy, quite, really good service. Highly recommend for everyone staying in Mestia

VERY desapointed, good location, but the room smell wet concrete, the heating in broken, the elevator is broken and the buffet was completely empty at 8:15, not Even a clean cup to get your coffee. Go anywhere else unless you are ready to wait 2 hours for your diner.

Terrible experience at Posta Mestia. No local dishes, everything came extremely late, and after 1.5 hours they told us they couldn’t bring the rest of the food. No apology, no compensation — just awful service

The food was satisfactory at best. But it took too long for the food to come. The service was really bad. Kudos for providing great entertainment with their live music, as that was the only good thing about the place. Would not recommend this place to anyone. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!!! It takes hours for the food to come Their staff was very rude as well.

The location of Hotel Posta cannot be faulted, and its on-site pool and sauna (when functional) are lovely. However, for the price you're paying, you really aren't getting much bang for your buck. Breakfast is repetitive, the rooms, while spacious, lack the amenities you'd expect in a hotel at this price point (soft toilet paper, a working fridge, smart TV, etc.), and the on-site restaurant is roadside restaurant standard. All told, it's an unbeatable location, but you're paying Rooms prices for Motel 8 standard accommodation.

I agree with a lot of others on the 3* review. The location is great. The rooms are ok. The service is dreadful. Whilst I understand service levels in Georgia desire a lot, this hotel seems to take it to a different level. Breakfast is spartan with little choice, the coffee machine may or may not work and a there may or may not be an attendant in track pants who may or may not be available. Breakfast plates are the same size as coffee saucers, food is not checked or replenished from the moment it is put out at 6.30 or so (well, if you get unwell it is your problem) and don't you dare asking for something. Our bathroom had live exposed wires running to the mirror - so attend at your own risk

Can't speak for the hotel, but the restaurant has mediocre and overpriced food. Probably the worst meal I've eaten in Georgia in 4 years. The second star is only because of the fireplace and the music is not terrible.
