Hotel Vardzia Terrace in Vardzia

Kind Family. Nice stay. Arrived late at night but no problem with the owners. Is not a hotel - more an B&B- overnight stay. But nice in the middle of really nowhere.

They recommended us breakfast - so we took it as well. For 22 LARI okay so far.

Outstanding hospitality and very delicious food served here. Highly recommending. And of course the view

Let’s get the main thing out of the way: the views are simply amazing, some of the best you’ll ever see. The hosts are wonderful and charming, the food is delicious, the rooms are clean and comfortable. And the wine is superb. A massive thank you to the hosts for the hospitality!

I highly recommend this place! The place is clean, nice and the view stunning! You can see the caves from the terrace.The owners, which are locals, are very kind, and even if they don't speak english, they know some basic words. The access to the hotel is a bit steep if coming by car, 4x4 would be easier but if you have a small/normal car (like me), you can leave the car by the restaurant a bit further and the owner will pick you up (just communicate it with them). Their breakfast is also fantastic!

⚠️ warning first - these apartments might be hard to reach without an AWD vehicle, the road to the house is pretty steep and rocky.

The view is the star of the show and it is really breathtaking pretty much regardless of time of day/night.

Apartments are brand new and the decor is modern and overall "nice". Towels are provided! Bed was super comfy and we slept like babies the entire night. No air-conditioning, but a huge plus for mosquito nets. The apartment had keys, however the door was constructed in a way that you could not physically lock your door, no matter how hard you tried. I guess they don't steal stuff in Georgia 😉

The terrace seems a bit... unfinished? The view is amazing, the lounge chairs are great and the owners will happily lend you wine glasses if needed 😍

Breakfast was ok at best. I would call it traditional Georgian village breakfast with tea/coffee. It would be much better if it were served outside, so make sure to ask (we didn't)!
