Close to the city center. The room, bed, and bathroom were all very nice and clean. We stayed in a quiet room on the upper floor. There was a wide variety of options for breakfast and everything was freshly made. It is a great location for visiting the city for a few days. Friendly staff. Adjacent parking is available for an additional fee of €10.

Excellent in all respects except neighbouring properties. A trifle noisy because of late night business at a Doner Kebap joint and a Shisha Lounge, which also left the street littered.

Fantastic breakfast, cozy and clean room

The hotel is located a 2-minute walk from Karlsruhe Station, so even though I arrived late, I was able to walk to the hotel with peace of mind. The bathroom hygiene was a bit lacking, but it is the best value hotel. There is also a tram stop in front of the hotel, making it easy to get around.

It's right next to the station, so getting around is very convenient.

A verynice 3 Star hotel, should really have 4 Stars, everything is very clean, as far as i could see is that the rooms all New and and very clean, the staff were very friendly and the Restaurant did a very good job, also respect to the cleaning firm, they do a very good job. The town Karlsruhe is in a 30 minute walking distance or a 10 minute drive with a Tram. I was there in 06.24 on a Seminar.

I spent a week here on business. The room was great for a business trip, the staff super friendly and helpful. Public transport downtown is good to grab something to eat.. I enjoyed it. And the seminar room well equipped and luckily had a fully functional AC.

Quiet location near the forest, yet accessible with public punching means of transport. Decent food, good conference hotel with a limited but perfectly adequate Sport- & Wellness area.

Passing trough Germany we stayed for 2 nights. 2 adults and 2 kids. Plenty of space in the room. Room is basic, but clean. Breakfast was included in the price and extensive. You can reach the city center within 10 minutes by car. McDonalds, Aldi Sud & DM around the corner. Staff friendly. Pleasant stay. Especially considering the price.

The hotel staff is very friendly, and the breakfast is excellent. However, the carpet in the room is uncomfortable, and the presence of only tulle curtains on the room windows makes it possible to be seen from outside in the evenings

Ideal location and clean room I stayed here for one night to explore the city. I received a very friendly welcome, and my first positive impression was reflected in the room. The room was very clean, had a great bathroom, a comfortable bed, and a small TV. There was free water and gummy bears, and earplugs were also provided for noise protection, although I didn't need them. I would love to come back...

Ideally located, public transport (buses and trams) were literally 2mins walk from the hotel. A lot of good restaurants nearby as well. The hotel is definitely aimed for business people or people expecting to spend most of the day out and about. Very friendly and helpful staff, good service, overall a good stay

An underrated hotel. Everything was great at my stay. The rooms are pristine clean and comfortable. The service is exceptional. At breakfast it was good to see that the staff were constantly replenishing the food plates. The choice of breakfast was also very good, with high quality items.

I was unfairly grumpy when I arrived at the Hotel Barbarossa. I had intended to stay three nights at another nearby hotel, which I had stayed at previously; but it was fully booked for one of those nights, so I chose the Barbarossa instead. Downstairs, it's a bit scruffy; and the carpet between the first and second floors is a bit worn… But when I got to my room, I couldn't fault it. I had chosen...

The service is just great! A room was made available to us already in the morning without needing to ask. Breakfast isn't the most lavish ever, but there's an excellent tea selection, my husband liked the coffee too, and fresh baked goods, hot sausages, eggs and bacon. Vegetarians will find lots to eat, vegans not so much, but I'm sure the staff would accommodate special requests if made in advance...

The town itself is the least remarkable place you will probably visit in your life. However, we were there for a wedding and looked for a clean, affordable and central place to stay, and this hotel was it. They were easy going on the early check in time, the reception lady was incredibly friendly, welcoming and helpful. Lovely people!

Great place. It has a nice vibe. The food is good. The beer is typical German beer and very good. I speak german well enough, but, if you are a tourist and don’t speak German, you could have a hard time ordering, as they had one English speaker when I was there and she was quite busy.

Delicious food and beer. It was strikingly quiet on a Saturday night, but no matter. I had the maultaschen, which is like a meat-filled calzone but wrapped in pasta instead of bread and covered in gravy instead of tomato sauce. Highly recommended.

We came here to have lunch after a burial. We asked for a separate table in another room to have a bit more privacy, which was no problem. The menu does not offer a lot of variety but the food was very good. But we had to wait a bit. The prices are a bit above average but still fair. The service was very friendly but did not check on us very often - so we had to get them sometimes. The separate room...

The rooms are comfortable,though hot when the weather is hot (no air-con). The hotel is extremely confusing and hard to get out of, because the staff closes the main exit during the day. A few signs on the walls pointing the way to the exit would be useful. The breakfast is minimal, but ok. I would have preferred a self-serve coffee. The hotel is a 14-minute walk from Karlsruhe Station. There was no staff at check-in, so I had a bit of trouble getting my room key. However, the hotel is located in a residential area, so it's quiet, and the breakfast is decent.

You can see that the hotel is a bit old. I can imagine it was great 10 years ago. Our room was extremely hot. 2 electrical fans didn't help. Breakfast was very nice

Convenient location. We loved having a small balcony. The staff is very friendly and the breakfast very good. Thé check-in was very quick and instructions were sent beforehand. Everything was comfortable and the rooms were very well equipped with TV, mini fridge, kettle, coffee, tea... However our balcony and windows oceberlooked the back kitchen of a restaurant, which caused some noise when the staff...

You get what you pay for. Very stylish design, very clean, and very centrally located for a good price. On the downside, there is very little space (even with two carry-on suitcases it gets difficult) and the furnishings are quite basic: no trash bin, no shelves in the shower or bathroom, and no proper heating (only hot air via the air conditioning).

The rooms are sufficient spacious and clean, the beds are comfortable and the AC is working fine. The staff is helpful and friendly. Breakfast is available. Parking is possible in two nearby garages. The hotel offers everything for a comfortable stay in central Karlsruhe.
