It was a very nice stay. Close to the palace and hbf. The room was clean and well kept.
It’s a nice place, very calm & nice location, has a wooden staircase to go up the loft for the beds, can be tricky for elderly, however very warm & cozy. The manager was weird & wanted to chase me out a hour earlier even though I had paid for a late check out, she was sending people to knock on my door & calling to vacate, when I clearly had 1 more hour to go, very weird lady.
the check in was fast, safe bike storage. room was big, all.good except a stain on the bedsheet. breakfast was good too. good value for money. quiet neighborhood. very good pizza place around the corner.
The rooms are well-equipped and spotlessly clean. The location is also very convenient, with supermarkets easily accessible. I hope the hotel consistently provides professional service. Regarding my booking: I have reserved 10 rooms for October 21st. I'd like to request that 6 of these rooms be twin rooms (with two single beds). Please let me know if this can be arranged.
It had everything one could need. A Rewe supermarket was conveniently located nearby, and there were even cooking facilities available at the hotel. Absolutely full marks!

Very friendly staff, right by train station and tram station.
The room was clean and spacious enough to fit two suitcases. The toilet was a bit smelly, and it would have been better if they had provided tissues.

The room was very comfortable, the location was great, right next to the central station, and the tram was right outside the door, which was very convenient. The room was clean and promptly cleaned, the breakfast was plentiful, and the place was very quiet. I was very satisfied!
I think it is important to remember what you are buying here. It is listed as a 2 star hotel. - The ac mostly worked on the first floor, though it was not too hot - the shower had warm water - this is really really close to the tracks, and those on the first floor can not safely open their windows as there is a concrete walkway outside the rooms - the beds were not that comfortable, but not horrible...

A verynice 3 Star hotel, should really have 4 Stars, everything is very clean, as far as i could see is that the rooms all New and and very clean, the staff were very friendly and the Restaurant did a very good job, also respect to the cleaning firm, they do a very good job. The town Karlsruhe is in a 30 minute walking distance or a 10 minute drive with a Tram. I was there in 06.24 on a Seminar.

I spent a week here on business. The room was great for a business trip, the staff super friendly and helpful. Public transport downtown is good to grab something to eat.. I enjoyed it. And the seminar room well equipped and luckily had a fully functional AC.

Room was very nice, but shower doors couldn’t be closed and air condition couldn‘t be recognized. However we enjoyed the stay.
My stay was disappointing due to cleanliness issues. The room was not as clean as expected, and basic amenities like slippers were not provided, even when I asked at the reception. I expected better service and hygiene standards. Would not recommend unless improvements are made.
Very old hotel, everything a bit broken and thrown together. The entrance looks like something straight out of a horror movie. We had a theme room "mountain hut" and it was actually a great idea, but you could freshen everything up again, many broken spots in the room. But the breakfast was great and the beer was delicious!

The hotel was fine, the ambience can be better! I was staying there during a hotel renovation I assume! The hotel is very helpful at times of necessities. Passing trough Germany we stayed for 2 nights. 2 adults and 2 kids. Plenty of space in the room. Room is basic, but clean. Breakfast was included in the price and extensive. You can reach the city center within 10 minutes by car. McDonalds, Aldi Sud & DM around the corner. Staff friendly. Pleasant stay. Especially considering the price.
The hotel staff is very friendly, and the breakfast is excellent. However, the carpet in the room is uncomfortable, and the presence of only tulle curtains on the room windows makes it possible to be seen from outside in the evenings

It's a little far from the station. There was a table next to the bed so it was easy to put your luggage. I didn't use it, but there was a clothes warmer. The floor was wobbly and dented, so I'm worried about safety in the future.
Stairs squeak. At night I couldn't move quietly in bed because the bed squeak was so terrible and unbearably loud. Speaking of the bed; I had paid extra for a big bed and I got a small bed. Not the toilet was pleasant, because who wants to see the previous person's urine in the toilet??????? Hands off, hands off, hands off.
One night in this hotel, 3 of us and we got a family room that was actually 2 bedrooms. Very nice layout, clean and friendly welcome. Would stay again!

Stayed one night, bed was clean but this hotel is in need of a technical person who can fix the loose toilet seat and broken light switches and all other small things that feel end of life. Also no breakfast available and no receptiondesk in the mornings. It's more like a 40 euro do it yourself kind of hotel but they charged more than triple that amount. I think they will let this run into the ground...

An underrated hotel. Everything was great at my stay. The rooms are pristine clean and comfortable. The service is exceptional. At breakfast it was good to see that the staff were constantly replenishing the food plates. The choice of breakfast was also very good, with high quality items.
I was unfairly grumpy when I arrived at the Hotel Barbarossa. I had intended to stay three nights at another nearby hotel, which I had stayed at previously; but it was fully booked for one of those nights, so I chose the Barbarossa instead. Downstairs, it's a bit scruffy; and the carpet between the first and second floors is a bit worn… But when I got to my room, I couldn't fault it. I had chosen...
The service is just great! A room was made available to us already in the morning without needing to ask. Breakfast isn't the most lavish ever, but there's an excellent tea selection, my husband liked the coffee too, and fresh baked goods, hot sausages, eggs and bacon. Vegetarians will find lots to eat, vegans not so much, but I'm sure the staff would accommodate special requests if made in advance...

The town itself is the least remarkable place you will probably visit in your life. However, we were there for a wedding and looked for a clean, affordable and central place to stay, and this hotel was it. The service here is just great! Delicious breakfast buffet on the ground floor makes for a great opportunity to observe the red pandas in the zoo across the street. Direct proximity of the Karlsruhe train station.

You get what you pay for. Very stylish design, very clean, and very centrally located for a good price. On the downside, there is very little space (even with two carry-on suitcases it gets difficult) and the furnishings are quite basic: no trash bin, no shelves in the shower or bathroom, and no proper heating (only hot air via the air conditioning).
Very easy to check-in out of the reception hours. Everything was very clean. The bed was really comfortable. I recommend!
