I travel to Karlsruhe two or three times a year for work, and this hotel has been my home away from home for the past five years. The service is consistently excellent — from the friendly cleaning crew to the attentive hotel manager. The staff always make me feel welcome, and their professionalism and warmth are truly exceptional.

A good hotel, a solid 4. Clean rooms, large windows, and lots of light. The price/quality ratio is a bit high. But overall, no complaints.

There is, however, no AC working. "It is not hot enough". There was 26 degrees celsius in the night in my room and no AC. I stayed there with 5 collegues for an exbhition and we were all very pleased with our stay. The hotel is only a few minutes from the tram station that took us directly to the Exhibition Centre within 15 minutes-ish. It was a very nice stay. Close to the palace and hbf. The room was clean and well kept.

The hotel is located a 2-minute walk from Karlsruhe Station, so even though I arrived late, I was able to walk to the hotel with peace of mind. The bathroom hygiene was a bit lacking, but it is the best value hotel. There is also a tram stop in front of the hotel, making it easy to get around.

I was looking for a hotel close to the train station for a short weekend to rest and get to know a new place. It is just like 200 m from the station, just a short walk easy to do with the bit of luggage, so that objective was fulfilled. 3 star at best. Rooms are really dated. Bed was good, pillows terrible. Staff were friendly, location, right next to train station, so 15/20 mins walk to centre, bur ideal to move on your next leg of a trip. The lift is the best part of the hotel, built1928 - a national treasure, supposedly.

We payed far over 500 euros, and sadly did not get what you would expect for this price. Our room was outdated and the bathroom had some molt. The walls were not white anymore. The location is great, but it is time for some investment and modernization. We did not understand why the bar/cafe had no personal. The breakfast is absolutely not bad, but even that could have some extra attention.

I spent a week here on business. The room was great for a business trip, the staff super friendly and helpful. Public transport downtown is good to grab something to eat.. I enjoyed it. And the seminar room well equipped and luckily had a fully functional AC.

Passing trough Germany we stayed for 2 nights. 2 adults and 2 kids. Plenty of space in the room. Room is basic, but clean. Breakfast was included in the price and extensive. You can reach the city center within 10 minutes by car. McDonalds, Aldi Sud & DM around the corner. Staff friendly. Pleasant stay. Especially considering the price.

Check in and check out was very disorganized and had very long waits. They were understaffed both times. The shower sprayed all over the ground in the bathroom because the glass median of the shower didn't come out far enough.

The hotel is quite old, so the facilities are a bit dated. Overall, it's not bad, except that on the first day, the staff took the mini-fridge, saying it was under repair, and never brought it back.

Very good location, right next to the market square. All facilities are complete. There is a hotel parking lot and a place to charge electric cars. The parking fee when I went was 15 euros per night. The minibar in the room is free.

This hotel is the BEST! I chose this location primarily for one reason: How wheelchair accessible it is. I was not disappointed! Proper hotel for a short trip away from home. Although the location isn’t very convenient when you need to get around Karlsruhe, the personnel is more than happy to help you get a taxi. Rooms are very spacious clean and setup with the right amenities. In the morning their breakfast is from 6 AM to 10 AM which allows you to sleep in if needed. Can recommend!

Our Dec 2025 stay at Plaza Karlsruhe was exceptional in every way. Friendly professional greeting. Room was clean and spacious. Loved the Pool and daily activities. Has a resort feel to it. The breakfast buffet is 2nd to none! Only issue is the response times from the front desk. This way be a high season problem however, seeing how we traveled in early Aug.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Hotel PLAZA Premium Karlsruhe and I must say, it was a very good experience. The hotel itself is very good, providing all the amenities and comforts one could ask for. What truly set this hotel apart for me was the staff. As central in Karlsruhe as it gets. Right by the Schloss and pyramid. There is karstad nearby with plenty of bars, bakeries, and restaurants. The rooms are hot in summer with noisy air-conditioning systems. Opening the windows can be annoying as you will get all the noise from the CBD!

It's a little far from the station. There was a table next to the bed so it was easy to put your luggage. I didn't use it, but there was a clothes warmer. The floor was wobbly and dented, so I'm worried about safety in the future.

Stairs squeak. At night I couldn't move quietly in bed because the bed squeak was so terrible and unbearably loud. Speaking of the bed; I had paid extra for a big bed and I got a small bed. Not the toilet was pleasant, because who wants to see the previous person's urine in the toilet??????? Hands off, hands off, hands off.

Great place. It has a nice vibe. The food is good. The beer is typical German beer and very good. I speak german well enough, but, if you are a tourist and don’t speak German, you could have a hard time ordering, as they had one English speaker when I was there and she was quite busy.
