A very good experience, we have been well welcomed, in French! The service is really nice, rooms are clean and all new. Parking service is easy to use. We thank you for this experience, it have been a true pleasure to visit your hotel!

I had terrible time for sleeping in night and morning early, because of noises from neighboring rooms (on top and sides) doing normal activities like walking, watching TV, taking shower, etc. The staff of the hotel did not offer me any alternative room when I explained them the issue (never believe what they have replied to my review!). They only said, we will ask other rooms to be more quiet, however, no changes happened. So, I had very bad staying in this hotel.

An underrated hotel. Everything was great at my stay. The rooms are pristine clean and comfortable. The service is exceptional.
At breakfast it was good to see that the staff were constantly replenishing the food plates. The choice of breakfast was also very good, with high quality items.

I was unfairly grumpy when I arrived at the Hotel Barbarossa. I had intended to stay three nights at another nearby hotel, which I had stayed at previously; but it was fully booked for one of those nights, so I chose the Barbarossa instead.
Downstairs, it's a bit scruffy; and the carpet between the first and second floors is a bit worn… But when I got to my room, I couldn't fault it. I had chosen the cheapest room available as I was travelling alone, so I can't complain that it wasn't bigger - it was small, but big enough. The bathroom and shower area's plumbing and tiling were immaculate, the shower generously proportioned and the sliding door very effectively prevented water getting on the floor.
Unlike in many more prestigious hotels, there were plenty of electric sockets where they might be needed, including on both sides of the bed.
There was no minibar, but I seldom use them, anyway, and drinks (and possibly snacks) were available from vending machines.
Breakfast was OK.
Minor niggles… I didn't immediately spot the roller-blind controls in the wall under the TV - not the same wall as the window. I'm glad I did, because the curtains were more decorative than functional. And I'm not sure what I think of hotel rooms which turn everything off when you take your key card out of the slot by the door. What if you need to leave your phone or laptop charging? But I suppose it also avoids wasting energy, leaving things running when you are not there, which is important too.
The car park is about 200m away, and tight to get in and out of; and I didn't spot a wheelchair accessible entrance.

The service is just great! A room was made available to us already in the morning without needing to ask. Breakfast isn't the most lavish ever, but there's an excellent tea selection, my husband liked the coffee too, and fresh baked goods, hot sausages, eggs and bacon. Vegetarians will find lots to eat, vegans not so much, but I'm sure the staff would accommodate special requests if made in advance. The building is quite interesting - seems to be 3 buildings merged into one with three different staircases. The floors are color-coded - fun detail, and the room is comfortable and clean with very heavy blankets (!).

A really good hotel with great breakfast, no lunch or dinner though. Just watch out because the small rooms are small

I had a real great time at this hotel, it was "simple", but the quality of the services were great. People working there are very welcoming and rooms are super clean and well designed :)
Price was really worth it, some say the rooms are a bit small, but space wasn't something I need, as I visited the city.
I also had a super great breakfast, well managed and well served.
Thanks again for the good time :)
Note : Documents about hotel and other written stuff is all in german, may be a bit annoying for foreigners, like me, I couldn't read some informative stuff, maybe translate them ?

Great value for money. The bathrooms are completely new and the staff very friendly and helpful. There was even nice seating in the rooms.

The town itself is the least remarkable place you will probably visit in your life. However, we were there for a wedding and looked for a clean, affordable and central place to stay, and this hotel was it. They were easy going on the early check in time, the reception lady was incredibly friendly, welcoming and helpful. Lovely people!
