Seaside-Strandhotel in Timmendorfer Strand

The location is unbeatable, and that's the only positive thing. There was no reception, it wasn't mentioned anywhere, and getting the key was extremely difficult because we didn't have a code. After several attempts to reach someone, using various numbers, we were only able to make contact by leaving a message on the answering machine. They tried everything for about an hour. Afterwards, they didn't ask you to thank the concierge. But that's no problem when you've been roaming around there for an hour and a half and your vacation is just off to a bad start. Of course, we duly thanked the excellent concierge service. Without doing anything, we were even able to get into the room.

The cleanliness and the defects in the room were anything but cool.

The room window couldn't be tilted open because the staff or restaurant guests were constantly smoking and chatting below. The view from the window of several gas bottles didn't exactly give us a great vacation feeling.
The overhead shower was broken, water was splashing all over the bathroom.
Toilet paper holder is hanging off.
Dark splashes next to the toilet, no words. The coffee machine still had residue from the previous guest. The safe was partially disassembled but partially functional with the key.
No folder in the room. No Wi-Fi password, no parking information, just awfully careless. Etc.
A real shame, but completely overpriced. I asked the cleaning staff about it, and you could see the helplessness written all over their faces...

If I could give 0 stars, I would. We had originally booked 3 nights in room 13. On the ground floor with a large window front with about 6 windows. At the entrance you could see how dirty the outside areas were, just like the windows. In the room itself there was a worn out armchair and we had to get rid of several spiders and grasshoppers. Unfortunately the photos didn't look anywhere near as disgusting as in reality. After the first horror night we contacted the hotel team and reported the condition and asked to be allowed to move out. We received a message saying that management had been informed. Afterwards the caretaker called me and offered us to move out for an extra 100€ for cleaning etc. (I'm laughing my head off). So we paid 100€ plus 100€ for the first night. The cleaning lady was absolutely outrageous when she suddenly showed up at the room and told us that the windows are only cleaned once a year. I can only advise everyone not to book here!!!!! And to the team: be ashamed of yourselves for such "service" - you're not doing your job.
