We stayed at the Kräuterhof for one night during a multi-day hiking trip and loved it! We had overall good experiences during the trip, especially regarding friendliness and supportiveness, but the Kräuterhof was exceptional in terms of comfort of the rooms, the dinner options in the restaurant, but most of all the price for what we got! Thanks for the very nice service and we‘re planning to be back...

Great hotel, very friendly and helpfull staff, good food.

We stayed for 3 nights. Friendly staff in the restaurant. Everything worked and the apartments are spacious and so cozy. Very baby friendly! Although a bit of noise at night from other guests. Overall great stay with a nice location.

Part of coach tour. Room clean and spacious. NO tea/coffee facilities. NO aircon. NO charging points. NO main room lights, just 3 lamps. TV remote sticky. Staff very friendly but hard to communicate with, they really don't understand English fully. Food edible in the main no after dinner coffee unless you pay for it. 5 euros glass sprite from 2litr open bottle. This could be great but feels substandard...

We arrived just after 2pm when they had just closed . Very kindly opened up for us to have coffee and cake. Very good selection of cakes all five of us enjoyed our cakes. Excellent service

Beautiful hotel with excellent staff. The rooms are lovingly designed, the bathrooms are modern and easily accessible. The balconies are well maintained and have a perfect view of the castle. The breakfast was plentiful, fresh and very tasty. However, I recommend arriving by car as the bus connection is very poor.

Large and delicious breakfast buffet. Very nice service. Unfortunately no restaurant anymore. The room with balcony had a wonderful view. On three days, students had their jumping training, which was exciting to watch. Unfortunately, the WiFi on the third floor left a lot to be desired. All in all, a relaxing vacation.

We stayed at this nice hotel for the second time and were very satisfied again. Very friendly welcome, great breakfast and a lovely quiet location. We'd love to come back 👍

Room was OK but the bathroom was disappointing, especially the rusty heater where the clean towels hang. Breakfast is also OK.

A short review of our short trip ☺️ We can only recommend the Schanzenhaus in Wernigerode, it was very clean, charming rooms and a fantastic location not far from the promenade. We'd love to come back 🤗

We are extremely happy to have stayed here. We had an amazing stay from the moment we got here, the hostess is super friendly, the room was very clean and comfortable and the breakfast was great with so many options. Short walk from the old town and you can also walk to the castle. We were also very excited to hear about the hotels history! Thank you for our amazing stay!

I really liked the hotel and the location. Just one point which I didnt like was the breakfast spread. It was fancy undoubtedly but the quantity and the variety was not sufficient especially for the tourists from different nationalities. I understand its a very small town and not many things are available but atleast the basic breakfast should have been better. Rest was all good.

A perfect hotel for us, easy check in, everyone spoke English which helped. The breakfast was amazing and very wonderful.

We didn't stay at the hotel, and only had dinner here one evening. Ordered the Brockenschnitzel and the Harzer Wildgulasch, both were actually very nice but we waited well over an hour for it to arrive! We're generally pretty patient and understanding when places are busy, but this seemed excessive, in fact our food arrived so late we couldn't even order a desert because the kitchen had closed once...

Incredible room, cozy and clean. It had everything we needed and the restaurant with Biergarten was excellent. Located close enough to the train station and old town for exploring. Price was right for room and it exceeded our expectations.

Nice little hotel with a good breakfast and friendly restaurant staff. Well-situated, walkable from the station and the town centre. Ground-floor rooms are a bit pokey since the front door is the only window. And "balcony" means a table in a shared courtyard - no privacy and the restaurant terrace is noisy. Receptionist is a minimalist with better things to do.

Great location, so quite at night, Walk to the station or all through the old town.

This hotel is very central, a mere 10 minute walk to the Harz Schmalspurbah /DB railway station. There is secure parking 100m away which is charged. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Breakfast buffet is excellent with wide and varied choice. Certainly worth considering when staying in Wernigerode and I’d definitely return.

Regiohotel Pfälzer Hof

Nice clean and comfortable room. Unfortunately the staff hadn't left a key to the room in the keybox outside when we arrived, so what was meant to be an easy self-service check-in was a lot of hassle. We had to ring and get a code for the box and then waited 2 hours for somebody to drive to the hotel with the key. Also had to ring 3 times to find out what was happening and the staff on the helpline...

As mentioned found the key pincode entry a bit strange ,however, the room although small was reasonably well equipped and the breakfast buffet was excellent. Hotel is only ten minutes walk from the town centre and if you are wanting a reasonably priced place to stay in a very quiet area of the town and with a good breakfast with ample parking this is a very good place to chose

Absolutely amaizing place. Especially if you are lucky to get apartment Nr.1. Parking without problems, rooms looks nice and fresh. Breakfast served in apartment or at the terrace its amaizing. Thx for such a service. Definitely will come again.

Charming hotel in a quiet part of the town. The hotel is conveniently located for the main station, mountain railway and the town. The staff are friendly and helpful. The room was clean, even if the bed and floor creaked. Breakfast was very good. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting this beautiful toen.

Das Frühstück und die Lage waren super. Man war direkt in der Altstadt und hatte viele Sehenswürdigkeiten in der Nähe.

Super lovely stay! Couldn't have asked for a better weekend!!

The hotel staff was super friendly and helpful with all my questions and requests. I was even provided with additional towers in order to dry off my bike when it rained. Very grateful about it! The breakfast was basic, but tasty. Hotel's location is just perfect, about 10-15 minutes walk from all the restaurants, coffee shops and sightseeing attractions in the city. I'd recommend the hotel to everyone...

A host who cares about the guests. On the 24th and 25th of December he cooked very tasty for his guests, unscheduled. Very nice staff, quiet area, parking lot, no luxury but well managed, loving care. We would love to come back.

I can absolutely recommend Pension Marga! The lovely service, the room, and the location were all perfect. I will definitely be back!

Another highly recommended guesthouse, as everything about it is perfect. Very friendly staff who were always happy to offer advice on local attractions. Breakfast was ample and good, especially the fresh rolls every day. The guesthouse is within easy walking distance of the town center. Thank you for everything from the Zech family.

A lovely guesthouse with incredibly friendly hosts. The rooms are beautifully furnished and everything is perfect! The breakfast is excellent, especially the fresh bread rolls. The guesthouse is very centrally located, and the town center is easily accessible. The bus stop is also nearby, making it easy to get around. I highly recommend this guesthouse!

I was on a hiking holiday in the Harz Mountains with my son until today. Spacious, bright, and clean rooms. A plentiful and fresh breakfast. Friendly hosts. Pleasantly quiet location, and everything was completely relaxed and uncomplicated. We had a wonderful stay.

A beautiful, clean, lovingly furnished and decorated guesthouse, which is a bit off the tourist bustle. A few minutes walk (about 10 minutes) to the old town. Spacious rooms with seating.
