In Overall it was good. However, you need to be early to get all options during breakfast and the presentation was not the best.

The facilities are splendid: great indoor swimming pool, nice indoor playground with crafts every day around 10, fab bowling area with blacklight and music, little shop with mainly souvenirs, swimwear, fresh bread in the morning and also slay rental during winter

Wonderful park, very nice set up just as on the pictures! We stayed in the area close to the woods which is the prettiest part but the other part is nice as well, just a bit further walk from everything

Cosy hotel for families with young children! Free cultural events in high season at the Kleinkunstbühne with pub. Highly recommended as the whole landscape is cultural somehow "dead"

Multiple trails leave from the park including kids walk (märchenweg or something ) It's a bit far to the town centre, about 30 mins walk. ATM ca 20 mins and supermarkt 25 mins

Bus stop into town ca 5 min walk from reception (every 15 mins bus, we got free bus tickets from the park) House very specious, convenient. Bit outdated but no problem to us

Overall: GREAT VALUE FOR MONEY! only downside: nothing in English and missed some tourist recommendations for highlights and the like

Nice room was comfortable and big. The bed was large, comfortable, with exceptionally good linens that had a pleasant smell

In the evening the same area was a restaurant with very good food. The bar in the same area is open in the evenings and are a nice place to recap what you have seen during the day

It is a very, very quiet place as there is no vehicular traffic anywhere near. Occasionally there are sounds of people having fun and laughing outside, which is a really pleasant sound

A lovely place to stay! We loved the back story of the white stag. The staff was professional and friendly. Breakfast was amazing. Parking is behind and under the hotel.

Location - in the centre of the city, in front of the Rathaus, the way to the Castle is easy by walking. Very pleasant personal, own parking, everything!

Wonderful!!! It is next to the central city Christmas market!!! You can feel the Christmas in the air!!! It is 15 minutes from station, easy to find

Room clean, spacious, NO tea/coffee facilities, NO aircon, NO charging points, NO main room light just 3 lamps. Staff very friendly, but hard to communicate with, they don't really understand English fully

Large and delicious breakfast buffet. Unfortunately no restaurant anymore. The room with balcony had a wonderful view. On three days, students had their jumping training, which was exciting to watch

We stayed at this nice hotel for the second time and were very satisfied again. Very friendly welcome, great breakfast and a lovely quiet location. We'd love to come back 👍

The breakfast was plentiful, fresh and very tasty. However, I recommend arriving by car as the bus connection is very poor

Unfortunately, the WiFi on the third floor left a lot to be desired. All in all, a relaxing vacation

A short review of our short trip ☺️ We can only recommend the Schanzenhaus in Wernigerode, it was very clean, charming rooms and a fantastic location not far from the promenade. We'd love to come back 🤗

Nice clean and modern hotel in an old building so no lift. Conveniently located for the town and rail station (10 min walk) A good breakfast buffet.

This hotel is very central, a mere 10 minute walk to the Harz Schmalspurbah /DB railway station. There is secure parking 100m away which is charged. Rooms are clean and comfortable

The room where we stayed is a bit small, but comfortable with air conditioning. Price is inexpensive with free parking. The hotel location is excellent: both Wernigerode Castle and the old town are quite close

Good location below the castle with access to a footpath going up to the castle. Only negative was the house next door which is being renovated. Lots of early noise but this will pass

Das Frühstück und die Lage waren super. Man war direkt in der Altstadt und hatte viele Sehenswürdigkeiten in der Nähe.

Hotel is only ten minutes walk from the town centre and if you are wanting a reasonably priced place to stay in a very quiet area of the town and with a good breakfast with ample parking this is a very good place to chose

As mentioned found the key pincode entry a bit strange ,however, the room although small was reasonably well equipped and the breakfast buffet was excellent

Especially if you are lucky to get apartment Nr. Parking without problems, rooms looks nice and fresh. Breakfast served in apartment or at the terrace its amaizing

Nice clean and comfortable room. Unfortunately the staff hadn't left a key to the room in the keybox outside when we arrived, so what was meant to be an easy self-service check-in was a lot of hassle

Also had to ring 3 times to find out what was happening and the staff on the helpline didnt speak English, so communication was rather difficult

On the -1 floor of the hotel there is a swimming pool with hydromassage, sauna, stone legatski. What we need after a good walk in the mountains. All free, about saunas charge per hour

Breakfast was good and served in a pleasant room, recommend taking. In the area in the morning will only work coffee in other hotels

A pearl in Harzen Very nice hotel in placed 5 min from town center. The view to the castle is magnificent and the hotel is superb. Very nice staff and a fine pool area. If we come this way again we are sure to check in

Great hotel in an old mansion with modern appliances. We had a spacious room with a balcony and views of the castle. The bathroom is made of expensive tiles, plumbing is not cheap

Gets a bit loud since it's situated next to a fairly busy road but it's not a big deal. We rented the family room with kitchenette and it was nice and spacious

Super breakfast with everything your heart desires: various sausage and cheese platters, jam, honey, yoghurt, biscuits and stollen. One day salmon, the other antipasti and tomato mozzarella

The guesthouse is very centrally located, and the town center is easily accessible. The bus stop is also nearby, making it easy to get around. I highly recommend this guesthouse!
