The facilities are splendid: great indoor swimming pool, nice indoor playground with crafts every day around 10, fab bowling area with blacklight and music, little shop with mainly souvenirs, swimwear, fresh bread in the morning and also slay rental during winter

Wonderful park, very nice set up just as on the pictures! We stayed in the area close to the woods which is the prettiest part but the other part is nice as well, just a bit further walk from everything

Cosy hotel for families with young children! Free cultural events in high season at the Kleinkunstbühne with pub. Highly recommended as the whole landscape is cultural somehow "dead"

Multiple trails leave from the park including kids walk (märchenweg or something ) It's a bit far to the town centre, about 30 mins walk. ATM ca 20 mins and supermarkt 25 mins

Bus stop into town ca 5 min walk from reception (every 15 mins bus, we got free bus tickets from the park) House very specious, convenient. Bit outdated but no problem to us

Overall: GREAT VALUE FOR MONEY! only downside: nothing in English and missed some tourist recommendations for highlights and the like

A nice hotel in a very nice old city. Directly located in the middle of the old city. Parking was easy on the location. The hotel has an old part and a newer part, and we had a room in the newer part

It is a very, very quiet place as there is no vehicular traffic anywhere near. Occasionally there are sounds of people having fun and laughing outside, which is a really pleasant sound

Very nice and big rooms (we booked comfort category) with direct view to the marketplace. The only we missed was a coffee machine in the room. However, there is probably not a better place to stay in Wernigerode

A lovely place to stay! We loved the back story of the white stag. The staff was professional and friendly. Breakfast was amazing. Parking is behind and under the hotel.

Location - in the centre of the city, in front of the Rathaus, the way to the Castle is easy by walking. Very pleasant personal, own parking, everything!

We stayed at the Kräuterhof for one night during a multi-day hiking trip and loved it! We had overall good experiences during the trip, especially regarding friendliness and supportiveness, but the Kräuterhof was exceptional in terms of comfort of the rooms, the dinner options in the restaurant, but most of all the price for what we got! Thanks for the very nice service and we‘re planning to be back

We arrived just after 2pm when they had just closed . Very kindly opened up for us to have coffee and cake. Very good selection of cakes all five of us enjoyed our cakes. Excellent service

As an international consultant in the hospitality industry with 23 years of experience, I would like to advise allowing reception staff to communicate with guests in languages other than German, adding music TV channels and channels in other languages

Large and delicious breakfast buffet. Unfortunately no restaurant anymore. The room with balcony had a wonderful view. On three days, students had their jumping training, which was exciting to watch

I was especially pleased with the surprise that the hotel staff arranged for my birthday - for breakfast our table was festively decorated and my wife and I received a glass of dry sparkling wine

This hotel is very central, a mere 10 minute walk to the Harz Schmalspurbah /DB railway station. There is secure parking 100m away which is charged. Rooms are clean and comfortable

Incredible room, cozy and clean. It had everything we needed and the restaurant with Biergarten was excellent. Located close enough to the train station and old town for exploring

A host who cares about the guests. On the 24th and 25th of December he cooked very tasty for his guests, unscheduled. Very nice staff, quiet area, parking lot, no luxury but well managed, loving care

Very grateful about it! The breakfast was basic, but tasty. Hotel's location is just perfect, about 10-15 minutes walk from all the restaurants, coffee shops and sightseeing attractions in the city

The hotel's location is also fantastic. It's situated on a hill, surrounded by forest. Next year, if there's another chess tournament in Wernigerode, I will definitely stay here again

If you need peace and quiet and want to escape the stress of everyday life, this is the place for you. This little idyll is somewhat secluded, on the outskirts of Wernigerode

We were very excited! Had a clean and very spacious room (child had its own bedroom and there was a small kitchen). Pool and sauna in the basement were great. And the extremely friendly staff sweetened our stay.

We stayed in this hotel for 5 days and felt very comfortable overall. The room was comfortable, the breakfast was excellent. We almost always had a great bath and a nice sauna to ourselves

With breakfast and in the basement is a pool with jacuzzi. Relax after a stressful day, simply wonderful. Cleanliness is good, breakfast is sufficient. One tries to respond to the wishes of the guests

Unfortunately without air conditioning. So bring your own fan on hot days. Tip to the owners: a safe would be useful. Walking around with all your valuables all day might not be the best thing

The only thing is that the beds are a bit saggy and not all of the small defects that were indicated were corrected during our stay. All in all I can recommend this hotel

The parking facilities are sufficient in my opinion. The location is perfect, it is only a few minutes to the train station/bus and the beautiful center

Clean, spacious room with amazing view up the street and Werningerode Schloss so very close upon the hill. V good breakfast and a lovely small sauna you can reserve a time for private use

Easy walking distance to Town center. Do not speak English though if you do not speak German. Have a free Sauna if you are interested

We appreciated a break from the larger city hotels in Hamburg and Berlin to stay in a small cozy bnb style environment. You can step right out the door to shopping and food

On the -1 floor of the hotel there is a swimming pool with hydromassage, sauna, stone legatski. What we need after a good walk in the mountains. All free, about saunas charge per hour

A pearl in Harzen Very nice hotel in placed 5 min from town center. The view to the castle is magnificent and the hotel is superb. Very nice staff and a fine pool area. If we come this way again we are sure to check in

Great hotel in an old mansion with modern appliances. We had a spacious room with a balcony and views of the castle. The bathroom is made of expensive tiles, plumbing is not cheap

Gets a bit loud since it's situated next to a fairly busy road but it's not a big deal. We rented the family room with kitchenette and it was nice and spacious
