I stayed here for 4 nights, the location is strategic and comfortable

Stayed for 5 nights on a Great Rail Journey's holiday. A modern hotel that can cope with lots of large groups. Very comfortable rooms, good facilities. Self service restaurant food can be a bit hit and miss but generally good choice and value. Helpful staff and located within easy reach of the local attractions.

Nice hotel, nice staff excellent breakfast, comfortable room. It was very warm weather when we stayed and the only area that could be improved would be air conditioned rooms. I would stay again for sure.

A nice hotel in a very nice old city. Directly located in the middle of the old city. Parking was easy on the location. The hotel has an old part and a newer part, and we had a room in the newer part. The room was large, clean and had a not so good view over the parking space and not over the city. A lovely place to stay! We loved the back story of the white stag. The staff was professional and friendly. Breakfast was amazing. Parking is behind and under the hotel.

Superb location right in the middle of town. A historically significant building that is well-maintained. The staff are excellent. The rooms are clean and well-appointed. It is a very, very quiet place as there is no vehicular traffic anywhere near. Occasionally there are sounds of people having fun and laughing outside, which is a really pleasant sound. There is much to see and do within easy reach

It was warm, cosy room. They put a bed story next to your bed. That was cute. The story relates to the name of the hotel. Wonderful!!! It is next to the central city Christmas market!!! You can feel the Christmas in the air!!! It is 15 minutes from station, easy to find. Delicious breakfast. Everyone was so friendly!

Beautiful hotel with excellent staff. The rooms are lovingly designed, the bathrooms are modern and easily accessible. The balconies are well maintained and have a perfect view of the castle. The breakfast was plentiful, fresh and very tasty. However, I recommend arriving by car as the bus connection is very poor.

Large and delicious breakfast buffet. Very nice service. Unfortunately no restaurant anymore. The room with balcony had a wonderful view. On three days, students had their jumping training, which was exciting to watch. Unfortunately, the WiFi on the third floor left a lot to be desired. All in all, a relaxing vacation.

We stayed at this nice hotel for the second time and were very satisfied again. Very friendly welcome, great breakfast and a lovely quiet location. We'd love to come back 👍

Room was OK but the bathroom was disappointing, especially the rusty heater where the clean towels hang. Breakfast is also OK.

A perfect hotel for us, easy check in, everyone spoke English which helped. The breakfast was amazing and very wonderful.

We didn't stay at the hotel, and only had dinner here one evening. Ordered the Brockenschnitzel and the Harzer Wildgulasch, both were actually very nice but we waited well over an hour for it to arrive! We're generally pretty patient and understanding when places are busy, but this seemed excessive, in fact our food arrived so late we couldn't even order a desert because the kitchen had closed once...

Incredible room, cozy and clean. It had everything we needed and the restaurant with Biergarten was excellent. Located close enough to the train station and old town for exploring. Price was right for room and it exceeded our expectations.

Nice little hotel with a good breakfast and friendly restaurant staff. Well-situated, walkable from the station and the town centre. Ground-floor rooms are a bit pokey since the front door is the only window. And "balcony" means a table in a shared courtyard - no privacy and the restaurant terrace is noisy. Receptionist is a minimalist with better things to do.

This hotel is very central, a mere 10 minute walk to the Harz Schmalspurbah /DB railway station. There is secure parking 100m away which is charged. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Breakfast buffet is excellent with wide and varied choice. Certainly worth considering when staying in Wernigerode and I’d definitely return.

We stayed for 3 nights. Friendly staff in the restaurant. Everything worked and the apartments are spacious and so cozy. Very baby friendly! Although a bit of noise at night from other guests. Overall great stay with a nice location.

Good management .. everyday fresh fruits waiting for you in room . Clean . But don't change towel daily , you need to reuse the towel as much you can . it's just to stop overuse of detergents to protect the environments.

Some old stylish typical German Hotel, clean rooms, slightly old fashioned. Needs refurbishing but price is good.

Very nice welcome. And not just in German but in English so non German speakers would find it easy as well. Rooms are cozy. Bathrooms need shower curtains and may be a provision of a fan (but again this summer could be an exception), these two things can be considered for little improvement. Breakfast is good but still think a vegetarian or vegan people have less options as everywhere else.

Great sauna and nice staff. The apartments are comfortable and spacious but some of the furniture is a bit shabby which feels strange. Breakfast was ok, not exactly great but that might be due to the times. (COVID)

This is a nice small hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast is a typical small hotel breakfast. Good thing is that you can use your invoice as a ticket in Wernigerode buses. I would definitely stay there again. And they also have a sauna in the hotel but I didn't try it.

Charming building right below the castle, at the entrance of the Old Town. Very welcoming employees. Free parking lot. Amazing breakfast. Only remark would be that the rooms in the 'new' aisle are a little bit small if you have luggages. Otherwise, for a weekend in Wernigerode, I highly recomment the Hotel Fürstenhof!

Qaint and romantic hotel. Stable wifi and easy parking. Rooms a bit old but adequate for the price. The check in closed at ten when we visited so call ahead if you're running late. Very friendly staff. Great free breakfast

Nice place in historical building. Provides great view on castle which is on top of the hill. Historical centre is in 5min by walk. Friendly staff. Finnish/Turkish sauna included in the room price.

We were very excited! Had a clean and very spacious room (child had its own bedroom and there was a small kitchen). Pool and sauna in the basement were great. And the extremely friendly staff sweetened our stay.

Were here on vacation. Hotel good. With breakfast and in the basement is a pool with jacuzzi. Relax after a stressful day, simply wonderful. Cleanliness is good, breakfast is sufficient. Cosy hotel for families with young children! Free cultural events in high season at the Kleinkunstbühne with pub. Highly recommended as the whole landscape is cultural somehow "dead". Empty streets in the evening in WR, GS, Bad Harzburg, Halberstadt etc.

Like many places in the area, it seems understaffed. But the staff is friendly and accommodating....2 years later...We stayed a week in the village. It's over priced and under staffed! The units are great, but for the price that we paid, it was disappointing. It's like an over priced Hostel. We paid extra for linen and the only things inside were 2 dishwasher tabs and 3 rolls of toilet paper. Not even...

Nice spot of nature if you’re nature lover and would like to run away from stress. The staffs gave me the feeling that they love their job and love to serve you. We have the Honeymoon room and I love it! It‘s worth for that money. 4 stars instead of 5 are just to give them a hint, next times at Christmas Buffet, just notice guests if they book the Christmas package that it wouldn’t be Christmas food...

Great place to stay in wernigerode. Rooms are more than awesome, staffs are very supportive and sweet. I just loved it.

The hotel for the railway. I have just spent 3 night and found the location perfect. My interest are the steam trains there. The room was clean and tidy. The only thing missing is tea and coffee making facilities? But you can obtsin this from reception. Parking was a bonus free, unlike in Berlin today. We are extremely happy to have stayed here. We had an amazing stay from the moment we got here, the hostess is super friendly, the room was very clean and comfortable and the breakfast was great with so many options. I really liked the hotel and the location. Just one point which I didnt like was the breakfast spread. It was fancy undoubtedly but the quantity and the variety was not sufficient especially for the tourists from different nationalities. I understand its a very small town and not many things are available but atleast the basic breakfast should have been better. Rest was all good.

Charming hotel in a quiet part of the town. The hotel is conveniently located for the main station, mountain railway and the town. The staff are friendly and helpful. Lovely hotel on the Wernigerode Castle hill. They have their own footpath up to the castle which takes only 10 minutes, starting from their outside terrace. Parking right by the hotel costs only 5€ per night. The location is fantastic - you can walk up to the castle, into the woods and into town easily. If you are staying in Wernigerode, look no further and stay in this hotel. I had the pleasure to stay here for 2 nights while I got to explore the Harz region, the hotel experience and atmosphere was flawless. It looks like a magical palace from the outside in winter covered in snow. The interior has fantastic decor, especially in the breakfast area, where you feel like you traveled back in time....

One of my highlights of my trip to Wernigerode, very pleasant service and an amazing breakfast. Hotel is about a 20 minute walk from the station, uphill, so just a warning if you have lots of luggage. My room was spotless and the bed was so comfortable. Nice and lovely place, very welcome .Clean rooms , Bathrooms only need some kind of antislip mat in the shower.This place is 10 min walk from the castle and 10 min walk to town centre. Breakfast is excellent with plentiful choices, all in all a great stay.

Excellent food and service and extremely enjoyable atmosphere and staff! My tip is Carpaccio octopus and homemade Tiramisu. By the way, as a starter, have a Hasseröder beer!

A pleasant stay in a pleasant hotel. A nice time in general. I would likely pick this hotel again if I stayed in Wernigerode. I was worried about being disturbed at night but was not. Out of the local restaurants, a Greek one was best. The Brocken train ride is the headline attraction. It is very pricey, but worth it. Recommend a good walk from Schierke to where the Berlin Wall was.

This was our second time at this restaurant and we were not disappointed. The owner took time for us and made a recommendation for specially offered dishes. We take advantage of this offer and were pleasantly surprised. The food was delicious again. So always with pleasure.

FRIENDLINESS is very important here. I came with my 80 year old mother. She needs oxygen. Delivering the oxygen was not a problem. The room was great. Breakfast delicious. We ate there on 2 evenings. Delicious. Boss and boss were very caring towards my mother. Thank you for everything! All in all very recommendable. Tiny drop of bitterness ..... the parking fee charged for the use of the hotel's own...

A host who cares about the guests. On the 24th and 25th of December he cooked very tasty for his guests, unscheduled. Very nice staff, quiet area, parking lot, no luxury but well managed, loving care. We would love to come back.

Idyllic location, with simple rooms ... but quite cozy. The extra entrance to the annex is an advantage for me, which is very practical as a dog owner. You shouldn't expect luxury, but nice people, relaxing time and lots of beautiful nature. The walk to the pedestrian zone is not too far, but not well-lit in the dark. Breakfast is great. In conclusion: Recommended ... we would book here again

It's ok, parking is good, breakfast is nice, children's meals are more for adults with regards to taste and ingredients, rooms are good, internet is hit and miss, cannot stay connected for more than 2 mins. People are typically east German. I would rather eat at the potatoe house than here.

Decent hotel, clean, quiet. Wifi is ok, a big parking in front of hotel. Nothing special though, nothing extra perfect. There is a nice path through forest to the nearby castle.

Friendly reception even though we turned up without a reservation and the staff were busy with a wedding at the time. We had a choice of campsite and plenty of space (end August) and were able to wash and dry our laundry (€8 a bit much when compared with other campsites). The washrooms were a bit limited, with cooking, washing up, laundry, and chemical loo emptying all in the area of the women's toilets

We enjoyed our stay here, the reception was friendly and the hotel was clean and well-maintained. The shower tool a shower to heat up but perseverance helped. We stay overnight and loved the room. Was corner room, big, clean and bright. However it was terrible cold when we arrived and even after few hours. We recommend to management to pre-heat the rooms during auch cold days to give some more comfort to customers.

This hotel was clean and quiet and also provided good breakfast. We mostly appreciated them taking extra time to fulfill our dietary requirements.

Beautiful hotel with a castle view from the room. Everything is within walking distance. Rooms are very clean and staff is lovely and polite. Gets a bit loud since it's situated next to a fairly busy road but it's not a big deal. We rented the family room with kitchenette and it was nice and spacious. Highly recommend.
