Very friendly staff, helped me with late check-in and made sure I have a spot to park my 12m van-trailer rig. Thank you very much! Also printed me a receipt for tiny city tax transaction with a smile. Clean spacious room, free parking. I appreciated the quiet on saturday evening. Breakfast had nice variety, would be nice to have more warm options. I felt taken good care of, you can tell the owners and staff do care.

An absolute gem of a hotel! We had a stopover here on our way from Germany to Swotzerland and it was a highlight of our trip! The hosts are warm, welcoming and go out of their way to make your stay special. The hotel is cosy with lots of lovely personal touches. The food is exceptional! And it is great for young kids - they loved the little petting garden with the bunnies, and the great park across the street. Highly recommened - thank you!

Made a late booking here after having a long drive. When we arrived the owner could not have been nicer quickly booked us in and organised a table at his fantastic restaurant before service closed. Next morning we had a delicious breakfast and before leaving the owner recommended a beautiful walk along the banks of the Rhine. We will be visiting again as we often go to the Freiburg wine festival and this would be a great place to chill out after.

Quite busy place on Sunday. Restaurant is nice and staff welcomes you on a friendly way.
Menu card is somehow limited but served meals are traditional. Prices are correct.

Markushof is a house rather for elderly people, as one would expect in a village famous for it's bath and health infrastructure. If you keep this in mind, the Markushof is a very nice hotel to stay and eat in. My single room was very clean and in a good size. Although the room was not expensive, it was nicely furnished in a good size and included a well sized, modern bathroom, with all you need. We had dinner and breakfast in the hotel. The service was very friendly and my dinner excellent. The breakfast was well too, although the waitresses were quite slow (I had to get up and go to the reception to order a second coffee, which came after about 15 minutes). But, nevertheless, regarding the price, I definitely recommend the hotel.

We went there for a meal so this review relates to the restaurant. Excellent service, very attentive and friendly staff. Food is outstanding. We had steaks and fish. Steaks were cooked exactly to the individual's desired level. Portion sizes were very generous. Would definitely recommend a visit.

The worst possible service I have gotten in my life. We first got seated and waited 15min for the menus. When we were placing our order, we told our server we wanted fish and it would've been nice if she told us the dish was raw before taking our order. When the dish arrived and we told her that's not what we were expecting as it was raw and if something can be done, she yelled at us and told us not to order if you don't know what it is. Isn't it kind of your job to help us with that? Anyway, she then took out dishes back without telling us what she would do with them. We waited another 15min before asking another server what is going on since our server ignored us. Another dish of cooked fished arrived 10min later, something we did NOT ordered. When we asked her what it was, she LIED to our faces and said we ordered it. We can't even read the menu (which by the way was all in German, so much for being a tourist town) nevermind being able to order the dish she gave us! And just so you know, the dish she forced us to have was 4 euro per dish greater than what we originally ordered, how convenient. The customer service at this restaurant is appalling and I would not recommend anyone to have a meal there. This was by far the worst experience I've ever had at a restaurant.

The food was of a really good quality and was served quickly even with pretty much all tables being taken.

After a long drive from Pisa through Switzerland I arrived at this hotel a bit later then expected, due to road and weather conditions. Just too late to have diner, as kitched was already closed. The welcome was very nice and checkin was piece of cake. Placing the luggage on the very nice room, returning to reception, I was advised to visit the neighbours as they would have kitchen till 10pm.
A real good advise despite knowing that I would not consume any other at their hotel.
The well organised and very complete breakfast was provided in the other building of the hotel, just across the street.
A real pleasant stay in a very nice clean room with good furniture.
