Hotel Hochfirst in Lenzkirch

Our stay at Hotel Hochfirst was truly one of the best family experiences we’ve had. The family who runs the hotel treated us with great kindness and respect — we felt like friends, not just guests.
We were a family of seven — my wife and I with five children — and we were warmly welcomed from the moment we arrived.

🍽️ The dinner was delicious, served in a peaceful and cozy atmosphere that made the evening so enjoyable.
☕ The breakfast was very well organized, with the tables already prepared and beautifully arranged.
🚗 Facilities such as parking (both in front and behind the property) were convenient, and the children loved the play area nearby.
🎨 Even the colors and design of the hotel added to the relaxing and elegant feel of the stay.

Overall, it was a wonderful and memorable experience.

We visited the hotel (family with 2 young children) and we were delighted, we had such an amazing time.
Our room (a family smart room) was reasonably sized and very comfortable, with view of the nearby forest. Spotlessly clean, great bed, renovated and the bathroom was modern.
Everyone working there was friendly, polite and extremely courteous.
Breakfast was very tasty with a wide selection of choices and great coffee. An added bonus was that each room had its designated table, so everyone was aware of where they would sit.
The restaurant in the premises is also very nice, with a great and cosy beergarden.
The hotel is very child-friendly: There was an indoor small playroom, a spacious lounge with a huge selection of games, perfect for enjoying a fun family evening and outdoor activities in the garden (playground with trampoline, swings etc).
The hotel also offers free parking just behind the hotel. There are not many parking spaces there (I believe 7-8 cars), but even if the parking is full, there is a big and safe public parking space just opposite the hotel.
Its location is great - quiet, surrounded by nature and an ideal starting point for sports activities (such as cycling or hiking) or for trips in the area. Lake Titisee is just an easy 10 minutes drive and Mount Feldberg is also very close.
TIP: If you are into (easy) hiking, don't miss the hike to scenic spot Titiseeblick - it's an easy 15 minutes walk from the hotel through Hochfirstweg and Turmweg.
As it happens with selected hotels in the Hochschwarzwald area, in case of staying for 2 or more nights, the hotel offers entry (with the use of a digital Black Forest Card) to the Badeparadies swimming pools at Titisee at a special price, and with the same card you can use public transport and also receive numerous other discounts or free entry to many attractions in the Black Forest area.
A perfect choice for families and active travellers and if you are looking for a great stay with your kids for touring the Black Forest, this is a great choice - definitely recommended!

I highly recommend this hotel! It’s a family run hotel which makes it even more special! Absolutely loved the hospitality. The room are huge with balcony, breakfast is amazing, dinner menu is super tasty with a very reasonable price! The hotel gives you chalet vibes in between the beautiful mountains and pine trees!

I always believe in quality vs quantity! Everything here was top notch and quality service! We are now going to visit this place every year! They also have a very nice play area for babies which is sweet! Lounge room with a lot of board games, tv etc! I am totally in love this place!

The hotel is really cozy and clean. The staff is really nice and helpful. The wellness area normally is not working and one should request them to start the sauna whenever he wants to use it. The pool was not working at all. Breakfast is good but it needs more variety. The red black forest card is a big bonus.

Very pleasant place and clean. The staff was unusually sensitive and helpful. To give some examples: One of us wanted the Soya milk for the coffee and they arranged it, they gave us a small refrigerator which helped us a lot. They kept the room clean tidy every day. They even folded our children clothes. Breakfast was excellent- varied and fresh.

Best hotel if you want to relax and go hiking in the Black Forest. Staff is very friendly, the breakfast is super good and the rooms are spacious and very clean, and the bathroom is very nice. There is a very good relation between price and quality. We always come back to this hotel.
