One of the loveliest hotels I've ever visited and in a perfect, quiet location. Stayed for three nights. Charming traditional features whilst bathroom shiny and new. We did fantastic walks both side of the river straight from the front door. Lively vibe for refreshments in Heumarkt on our return. We'll certainly be back!

Always a solid dinner decision. Goose menu was really nice across the board and they had great wine pairings with them.

Very disappointing dining experience. For this price range one truly expects more. Very basic sekt. Risotto too cooked, mushy and pretty tasteless. The fish was very well cooked though, and the accompanying sauce was good. Catastrophic dessert that makes no point. Apple trifle: tasteless dry chocolate biscuit, unrecognizable apple dices, and a whipped cream that was over whipped so with granules. A tasteless vanilla ice, that tastes like plain ice with a slight vanilla flavor. Might pass for 1/2 the price (but still be far from something to rejoice on), but at this level it's all quite incomprehensible. Only the appetizer (the soup) was alright. Far from fantastic, but at least decently good.

Exceptionally courteous staff. Excellent service and hospitality. The rooms are clean and tidy. Delicious breakfast where everyone finds something to their liking. Try the eggs they make them fresh in addition 😉
This will be our place to stay when we are in Heidelberg again!

This is a very old hotel in the middle of old town and tourist attractions. It has two Michelin stars on the front door. It's cute that the reception desk is nearly in the kitchen. My room was redone with new flooring and an updated bath. The ceiling beams were a little low so I bumped my head a few times. Overall we had a very nice stay.

Excellent location. Approachable and kind staff. Visited all the Christmas markets by walking.

Excellent location for visiting Heidelberg’s old city center. I stayed in a single deluxe, which is the perfect size for one person. The rooms are clean and in great shape. Starbucks is close by for good coffee and breakfast at a cheaper price than the States. Of course there are plenty of German bakeries and restaurants for a more authentic and delicious flavor of eating. The castle, bridge and all other old city sites are close at hand. I loved listening to the church bells ring.

The Weisser Bock is actually a highly rated restaurant with a few (20) rooms. My room faced inward, right above the kitchen. When in my room, with the windows open, I could hear the clanking of dishes and the employees talking, mostly during the dinner hours. It’s quiet after 11 pm, so if you stay out late, the kitchen noise isn’t a problem. If you stay over a Sunday, the restaurant closes at 5 pm, so it’s very quiet. And since there isn’t air conditioning, if you are here during warmer weather, you will need to keep the windows open. If this will bother you, request a different room location. (Didn’t bother me.)

The WiFi is sometimes intermittent. Most of the time it worked. If you want to watch non-German speaking shows, download Netflix or other shows before you get here. The TV is small and only has German speaking channels. Fortunately, I have a T-Mobile unlimited data plan that works in Germany. That helps no matter where I traveled while here.

Some other drawbacks besides the WiFi and kitchen noise, the shower stall is very small. It’s hard to shower standing in one spot. Very little elbow room, although the shower door is well designed. Once you’re done showering the doors can be opened inward which gives you plenty of room to dry off. I do like the adjustable shower head. I need one of those in my home!

There is only one door key card per room, which also controls the electricity. Very smart for the hotel for conserving electricity, but this can be inconvenient. No card key, no lights. I couldn’t charge any electronic devices while I was out of the room, and I needed to recharge my portable USB chargers. If two people are here together, the person staying in the room needs the key. There is a loss of independence if they want to do things separately and return to the room at different times. Also, the front door of the restaurant/hotel locks after 11 pm. The room key is needed to get into the hotel. Not a problem for me since I did not have to share my room key with anyone.

There is no parking right by the hotel. I didn’t have a car, so parking was not an issue for me. I did have to walk with my luggage over cobblestone roads. A bit cumbersome but manageable.

The staff is very friendly and helpful, and for the price and great location, it’s worth the minor inconveniences. I was here for the experience and charm of staying in the old part of Heidelberg. And unexpectedly also here during Heidelberg Herbst, a large annual festival. That was a fun! I enjoyed my stay and would definitely stay here again.

We went to that restaurant in Heidelberg for New Year's Eve dinner as they were offering a really nice and long dinner. We enjoyed the 7 courses dinner in a good atmosphere. Well recommended.

Really good place but on the spendy side. Had the seared ahi tuna. We sat outside but there were cars that came very close to the tables as it is an active street with no side walks

Really good food and service. It's advisable to return there.
