Hotel Calamus in Kehl

Overall great hotel. We stayed here for 3 nights and had a wonderful experience.
The breakfast was outstanding, with a wide selection and excellent quality, and the service throughout the hotel was consistently friendly and professional. The location is another big plus: very close to Strasbourg and also perfectly situated for exploring the Black Forest. Besides, the hotel has plenty of parking spots available including the charging (charging is expensive though).

The only real downside was the loud heating unit, which could be an issue for people with sensitive sleep.

Aside from that, the hotel was comfortable, well maintained, and ideal for both city trips and nature getaways.

I recently stayed at the Calamus Hotel in Kehl during the last week of December and had a pleasant experience overall.

The room was very spacious, clean, and ideal for a couple. The bathroom was spotless, well-equipped, and comfortable. While the room met expectations, I felt that certain amenities, like a coffee machine or refrigerator, could have enhanced the experience for a 4-star hotel.

The breakfast was a highlight—generous, varied, and delicious. The hotel offers great value for the price, with a luxurious feel. The location is convenient, with free parking and nearby shops, and it’s about 30 minutes from Strasbourg. However, I did notice some noise at night, which may be a consideration for light sleepers.

The hotel features a swimming pool, spa, and activities for both children and adults, though some services, like the spa, come at an additional cost. Overall, despite a few minor points, I enjoyed my stay and would recommend the Calamus Hotel for its comfort, amenities, and great breakfast!

Wonderful hotel! We stayed for 4 nights in December and enjoyed every moment. The rooms are spacious and clean, and the junior suite includes a coffee machine and free minibar. The breakfast is excellent and very diverse, with a selection of cheeses, cold cuts, pastries, eggs, bacon, and excellent quinoa salads. The hotel's spaces are designed in a modern and inviting style, and it offers several restaurants (we tried the Italian one and enjoyed it). It is conveniently located near the Black Forest area, and we reached Strasbourg with a short tram ride from the town of Khel.

Very lovely place in Kehl, Spacious rooms, cleaner than 5-star hotels. The hotel looks like brand new. The ambience is calm and quiet. breakfast is great with a huge hall. Staff are very friendly and welcoming, receptionist Mr Mao. They have a racing track underneath the hotel, super fun for kids and adults. Would definitely come again 👍🏻

I really enjoyed my stay in Calamus . The beds are super comfortable. The shower cabin is really nice and spacious. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend it.

Brand new... Great restaurant. Great rooms. Very confortable. In walk distance to an Aldi supermarket, a drugstore, even a go karts track... Perfect choice!

Brand new Hotel, most likely was just opened or renovated. Spacious, bright and clean rooms.. Excellent staff. I was travelling with my family and unfortunately we had an emergency situation with our kid and had to ask for an ambulance. Front Desk Manager Hendrik Gerhaeusser was very helpful and handled the situation professionally and as humane as possible. This gentleman proved, Hotel Calamus not only gives accommodation services and also care about its guests.
