The employee at the restaurant served me despite me showing up just after close!
There also seemed to be an issue with the information on Booking.com regarding pets — I booked under the impression that the property was pet-friendly, but it turned out not to be. Instead of handling the misunderstanding professionally, the staff told us in a very unpleasant manner to immediately return the key and leave the premises. This was especially frustrating given that we had already been waiting outside for half an hour due to their mistake.
Overall, the communication was poor, the hospitality lacking, and the customer service unacceptable. I cannot recommend this property.
Even though my room was towards the busy street it wasn't loud in the evenings.
No breakfast included but you could get your breakfast at the restaurant downstairs.
Downside to the restaurant at the groundfloor was that the whole Hotel smelled like food (but only the hallways so it wasn't that big of a deal)
Next Train stations are 7 and 10 minutes by foot and the Cannstatter Wasen is about 20 minutes by train. You can also go shopping around the Hotel.
All in all I would recommend this Hotel for short stays.
The staff is very nice, they let me stay 2 hours longer without a charge so I don't need to leave early for my train. It has a nice terrace on the top floor where you can chill and smoke.
