Hotel Restaurant Stern in Mannheim

We visited Weingärtner as a party of four yesterday. Due to heavy rain, we sat inside, where the atmosphere was very rustic, straightforward, and quite typical. There wasn't anything particularly special or standout about the décor.

The service was friendly and helpful throughout, and we appreciated that we didn't have to wait long for anything. The food itself was decent but very average in taste. We ordered the asparagus menu with schnitzel—portions were definitely generous, which was a plus.

It feels like Weingärtner might be better suited for casual visits, perhaps for grabbing a beer and a small appetizer rather than a full meal experience. I imagine the beer garden would offer a more charming and enjoyable ambiance in better weather.

Overall, an okay place for an informal outing.

Restaurant with nice old style. Despite not being a big fan of the German kitchen, I really enjoyed food there. Nice service. Highly recommended. Great chance to try local food.

We stopped in around 7 pm on a Wednesday as a party of 3 and were seated quickly.
Since it's Spargel season, we tried several Spargel dishes and enjoyed them all.
The Spargel soup was outstanding.
We also had Spargel mit Pfannkuchen and hollandaise. It was hard to stop eating.
The cordon blue was made perfectly.
My son had the bratwurst and saumagen and said it was the best sausage he ever had.
Service was efficient and friendly. Large portions, freshly made and tasty

only beer, nice little yard

Very tasty German cuisine with local specialties (e.g. Saumagen) in a historical setting. Portions were also plentiful.

Outstanding food. Excellent, friendly & helpful service. Came in at about 6:30PM. No reservations, fully booked until 7. So we ate in the patio. Well worth the wait. Little pricier than regular restaurant, but worth every penny. Will definitely make reservations next year.

Amazing restaurant near mannheim. The menu is very well designed and offers vegetarian and vegan alternatives. Every dish is well curated and nicely presented and more importantly is delicious. I personally believe is one of the best place in the area. The wine selection is great and prices of both wine and food are very reasonable considering the quality. The service was perfect. Absolutely recommend!
