We had a really nice stay at Hotel Wittelsbacher Hof in Oberstdorf. The family room was perfect – two separate rooms for parents and kids, which gave us plenty of space and privacy. Everything was clean, and the balcony offered a stunning view.

The indoor and outdoor pools were clean, spacious, and never too busy – great for spending time with the kids.

The only downside was the service. The staff seemed a bit inexperienced, and we often had to look around for a waiter, especially on the terrace when we wanted a drink.

Still, it was a lovely, family-friendly hotel and we’d happily come back!

Wonderful sauna and wellness area with illuminated pool. The view from the large windows of the sauna on the alpine panorama in the moonlight gives you goosebumps, despite the 90 degrees!!

The historic hotel has a lot of charm and is greeted by friendly staff. The large fireplace is turned on for cold evenings 🔥🪵✨

The hotel is a bit old but charming. We stayed there for 14 days, we had a newly renovated room with a nice balcony in the south wing with a small living room, the room was about 40 square meters and was declared a junior suite. The room was very clean and cleaned every day. The breakfast was a bit monotonous, but this was more or less due to the Covid regulations (however, according to the reception, in the near future (November-December) there will be a solution to the problem with a renovation), but the dinner was very varied and of course delicious ... All the staff tried very hard to keep the restrictions to a minimum and they were all very friendly and helpful. So overall we felt very comfortable and satisfied, so we can recommend the hotel with a clear conscience ... Many thanks to the whole team and the Ortlieb family for a wonderful time!

Wonderful stay! Will definitely return next time we visit Oberstdorf. The rooms were nice and spacious, quiet, and it seemed like the bathroom had been recently redone. We also enjoyed the delicious breakfast buffet.
Happy Hour on Friday with live music by a cozy fire was a really fun added bonus.
And to top it all off, all employees were incredibly lovely. Can’t wait to return!

The hotel is in a nice location walking distance from the center. The rooms are clean and spacy, the public spaces are a bit old. The pool is large and the spa area is nice and clean. Breakfast is ok, quite basic, but the service was amazing.
In the parking, they have 4 charging points for EVs, but unfortunately they were all always taken by normal cars, we were rather disappointed by this and were not able to charge our car.

Very good hotel, exceptionally nice staff, with an excellent restaurant.
We visit Oberstdorf almost every year because of the international skating competition.
I think this was our best price/value hotel so far. It is also close to the ice rink on foot.
The breakfast is plentiful and meets all needs. The restaurant is excellent, even for dinner.
The rooms are comfortable and clean, the staff is extremely polite.
We'll be back next time.
Recommendation: The rooms should be equipped with a kettle and tea offer, and the minibar should be loaded.
