Hotel am Jakobsmarkt in Nurnberg

Our stay at Hotel on Jakobsmarkt was very good. It was a 15 min walk from the train station. Room was clean. Not super spacious for three people since there was a pull-out bed couch which we used.
Room was a little awkward to get to. It was on the 4th floor: elevator from ground floor to first floor, walk down the hallway, take the elevator to the third floor and take the stairs from the third floor to the fourth floor.
Area around the hotel felt safe and not super loud or busy. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel.

Room was fine and staff was friendly and helpful. Morning breakfast and staff were also good

A delightful stay in the comfort of Old Town with quick, easy access to the best parts of Nuremberg. Attentive staff who respond well to requests and provide satisfactory service. Excellent breakfast and good space in rooms, which are well ventilated.

Great location, close to the Old Town and other attractions. Plenty shops nearby.
We enjoyed our stay with a firm bed, but bath towels have done their time.
Only drawback is no kettle, tea or coffee provided, you could pay and get one from the reception desk.

We stayed at the Hotel am Jakobsmarkt for two and a half weeks in August 2025 and could not have been more pleased with the hotel. It was outstanding in every way.

We stayed in the "Double room Anno 1552” in a 16th century half-timbered house directly adjacent to the main hotel. The room itself was very modern and comfortable and it had so much character and a great feel about it. The room was spacious, the bed was very comfortable, and it was very, very quiet. It had a desk and a mini refrigerator.

The location was perfect. It was a close walk to all of the main sites and attractions in the old town, and there was a nearby metro station, grocery stores, and cafes. And one of the best German restaurants in the city - Historische Bratwurstküche
Zum gulden Stern - was two doors down.

The staff were helpful, efficient, and friendly.

We had originally only booked six nights here and had planned to try a different hotel, but we liked the Hotel am Jakobsmarkt so much that we stayed for the duration of our time in Nurnberg. We will definitely be back again!

Appointed but had a bathroom so small it was difficult to move around. Great shower.

Great experience staying at Hotel am Jakobsmarkt. Great location to see the city. The staff were all super nice. Would definitely stay here again when I travel to Nürnberg again..
