The and staff was great. The hostel just felt very public as anyone could come to the bar and it felt quite unsociable and not safe for a solo female traveler. I think in big groups it would be okay. There’s also no kitchen, which was disappointing but it says on the listing.

Cons: Upon check-in, I was given a key card that wouldn't open the door. I went back down to reception, and the staff member tried to open it too, but couldn't. It turned out the entrance was on the other side, where different room numbers were indicated. This oversight means I can't just walk into my room where the numbers are displayed; I always have to remember that my room is on the other side...

Pretty decent hostel. Got lucky with good roommates. The staff doesn't escort you to your room during check-in though, and it's easy to get a bit lost as it feels like a labyrinth. But you get used to it.

Cozy room but still too warm in summer

The hotel location is good but rooms are very small and very old. They offer very poor breakfast. Toilet flash tank in my room was broken and couldnt flash. instead i've been told to use waste bucket to pour water in. Generally the price and service is not value for money.

It is a very old hotel, with a warm reception at the front desk and an old elevator, but the room facilities are too ordinary. The bathroom, washroom and bedroom are in the same room, which is very inconvenient.

Clean, good service, convenient location, just outside the subway line 7. The only problem is that some rooms need to share a bathroom, but fortunately, at most two rooms share one.

I had single room. The intrerior was nice, clean and modern. I missed the short way to toilet and the possibility to switch off light from inside the bed. The surrounding was very calm and tram or bus can be reached quickly.

Just ok! A hotel suitable for overnight stay, breakfast will get you through to the next stage. Pluses: private bathroom, breakfast option, reasonable bed. Minus: three different keys to get to the room, early closing of the hotel (which was turned with the key box, good), lack of soundproofing and air conditioning. All the hotel staff were very kind and I was so satisfied that 5 stars aren't enough. However, the location is not safe and I was beaten and almost robbed, so you need to be careful when going out, especially at night. I saw a lot of Arab people in this area, and the person who tried to rob me was also Arab.

The hotel is very centrally located in an old building. Unfortunately, the ventilation filled my room with cigarette smoke, so that the room stank horribly on the first night. I stayed for 7 days during the start of the summer. I really enjoyed my stay here and it wasnt too loud. We stayed in a small apartment that had its own small kitchen and the only thing that could have made it better would have been if the kitchen had a kettle. Okay location.. Or it is far away from the city centre (not walking distance), but it is one of the nearest hotels despite this. The beds are large and comfortable. Are you looking for cleanliness this is not the place. The toilets are very dirty, there is soil in the shower and there is no Soap in the sink.

Since my decision to come to Berlin for the IFA was pretty spontaneous, I didn’t have many hotel options left. But to my surprise, the B&B Hotel in Charlottenburg turned out to be a great choice — it’s modern, clean, and, best of all, it doesn’t have any weird smells. The bed feels so comfortable compared to a lot of the older German hotels in the same price range.
