Nice building with a rich heritage. Team was very helpful with outside of working hours check in.

This was our 11th stay at the City Pension, and we always enjoy returning, even though the facilities aren't the most modern. The friendliness of the staff, the perfect location, the secure parking, the reasonable price, and the very comfortable beds more than make up for any minor shortcomings. The breakfast is decent, the coffee is delicious, and the selection is adequate. However, I do miss the gherkins and deviled eggs that used to be served 😉

The guesthouse is very centrally located and easily accessible by public transport. The rooms and the house have an "old" charm, but are very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent...all of this, combined with the price, is an unbeatable combination.

It's close to the Berlin bus terminal, about a 20-minute walk.
There's no desk, but it's convenient, and you can check in and out at the hotel right next door. The rooms are basic, but clean and tidy.
There's no elevator. It feels a bit larger than I expected, but European hotels tend to be a bit smaller...

Good value for Berlin
An older hotel with a good location, surrounded by good shops and easy transportation, with some vacancies nearby. Good breakfast.

Great accommodation in a cool area of Berlin. The staff is very gently, educated and helpful. I have been there two times already and i will surely come back soon when in Berlin. Strongly recommended!

Worst hotel I have ever dealt with! Total lack of professionalism on the part of hotel service. The information in the Booking announcement on the parking space for guests is not consistent with what the hotel offers. After hard and long talks, the hotel was unable to fulfill the services it provides and did not express any willingness or attempts to solve the problem. No information from the hotel about limited parking spaces for guests. Additionally, the hotel reception should be open until 10 p.m., unfortunately only in theory, because the reception was closed at 9:40 p.m. and there was no one in the hotel and the front door was closed. After 10 pm no contact with the hotel. What's more, a total lack of knowledge of the English language, even at the basic level.
In a message from the hotel, I got instructions on what to do after arriving after 10 pm. The hotel could not even fulfill it and did not leave the hotel and room keys in the place designated by them. In the end, I was not able to take advantage of the pre-paid stay, total lack of respect and professionalism towards the client.
I do not recommend anyone to use this place !!!

Great hotel. Felt authentic German rather than an international chain. Friendly, helpful staff and great breakfast :)
