Everything was perfect! The only thing we didn't like was the TV on a pedestal at bed height. If it were mounted on the wall at a height of about 1.5 meters, the room would get 100 points.

Positive:
The hotel is right next to Eberbach Monastery. This allows you to enjoy the evening atmosphere at the monastery with a glass of wine.
The room was clean. A kettle with a selection of teas was available in the room.
Cons:
I had a room on the ground floor. The window was so high that it could only be opened/closed using an electric switch, unfortunately offering no view outside. The bathroom was wheelchair accessible, with an open shower without a shower stall and an extra-high toilet. It's a shame this wasn't clear when booking.
Unfortunately, the night's rest was frequently interrupted, as conversations from the open staircase/hallway could be heard through the double doors.
On Saturdays, the venue was used for a wedding, so unfortunately, there was no monastic peace.

Very interesting historical place, hotel and restaurant buildings renovated with taste.

Had the schnitzel that was tender and crispy. The potato salad on the side was very yummy as well.

Sunday 13.00 - 30+ seats are empty on the terrace. We could neither eat outside nor reserve for any given other time. We sitting 20m away on the playground and the waiter refused to give us a sign “should something become available”. Now, 30 mins later, the alleged people who allegedly all reserved for 12.30 still have not arrived, terrace is still empty. Is it because we have three kids? We do not know. What we know is: They do not want our money. A pity.

We had a wine tasting at the vineyard first.
We ordered food for a very very reasonable price for what we got.
All the food was nicely present and tasted as good as it looks.
If I have to drive across Germany again I will make a second visit.

This restaurant, although in a prime location, does not live up to its fame: the service plainly despises families with little children and is slow to the point of inconvinience. Just visit the cloister and go lunch elsewhere in the town of the same name.
