Stayed here for 8 nights and liked the hotel in general. A very simple 2 star hotel with not much to offer, but it has everything you need. Very close to the station, which was convenient for a late check-in. The breakfast was simple but clean and sufficient, much better than the City Hotel.

This hotel is my preferred option whenever I go to Mainz. Everything about it is great, but above all, the very friendly personnel and staff. And their breakfast is outstanding!

It was all good (location, staff, breakfast, clean) but the shower is in the room basically. There is no bathroom door. That is quite inconvenient. And the rooms were small. Plus, there was no way to turn off the AC and I was pretty cold.

The receptionist was friendly, and the breakfast selection was wonderful with many options to choose from. I appreciated the free tea and coffee dispenser available all day. However, some parts of the room clearly need upgrading, as there were missing tiles in the bathroom. Additionally, the room had no air conditioning, which was a bit uncomfortable. I was upgraded to a room that was very clean, both in terms of the bathroom and the room itself. However, the smell of the pillowcase bothered me. Maybe I have a sensitive nose, but the smell of the pillowcase was bothersome, so I had to sleep on the sofa over my pillow. Other than that, it wasn't a problem and I had a comfortable stay.

Both the gentleman at check-in and the gentleman at reception on Sunday morning, as well as the lady from the kitchen, were incredibly friendly and very accommodating. The room was immaculate, and we loved the option of using the small terrace overlooking the courtyard. We will definitely remember this hotel and would gladly return.

The location is very central. I was able to check in at any time; I used the contactless check-in after reception opened. Shopping and restaurants are within walking distance.
