Hotel Birkensee in Hannover

On behalf of a friend who unfortunately doesn't have a Google account and was very disappointed today:

The supposed manager was a complete disaster. He started a discussion with us at the breakfast table that could easily have been resolved before our departure. We booked a room for €238 for two nights, without breakfast, and it was non-refundable. We spontaneously had the opportunity to surprise our niece, as we unexpectedly received a ticket for a weekend event. We called the hotel to inquire about the possibility of booking another room or an extra bed. They told me they were fully booked. Since this small "hotel/guesthouse" is located in a rural area next to a campground, my husband agreed to give up the space for our niece and is sleeping in our converted Amarok for the two nights. Showers and toilets are located at the trade fair in our exhibitor area. Since we're at the fair from early morning until late at night, this isn't a problem for him. Since breakfast wasn't included, we booked it separately for two groups of three people at €15 each and paid for it in advance on site. Everything was fine until the second day. Then this unprofessional man approached our table and asked if my husband had slept in his hotel parking space. He then demanded €44 for it – without electricity, water, or any use of the restrooms, green spaces, or anything else. The parking space, which was actually free for hotel guests, was a gravel lot with a construction site. In the end, this truly pathetic man shouted across his reception area and slammed the door. It's so pathetic! If my husband had parked our car in front of the space, there wouldn't have been a problem, but it was his property.

This is not a hotel. ******* should not be recommending this property since it’s for campers and not for tourists or business travellers. Very pricy and very inconvenient and staff was very unfriendly. Nothing around this property.
This property is meant for campers and their guests.
I will never stay there.
