Grand Palace Hotel Hannover in Hannover

This is a really great hotel. My boyfriend checked into it when meeting me for the first time. It is quite pricey but you are paying for a four star hotel, so you expect a higher price, and in return a little bit more care about the cleanliness, service, food, etc.

The room was a little dark if I recall correctly, but this wasn't a problem. It was air conditioned and clean. The housekeepers did a great job keeping it tidy.

The food had a good selection of typical-german foods. We only had the breakfast though.

Initially my partner booked the trip for himself. He had a double bed though and when we asked at the counter whether I could stay in the same room and just pay a price per night, they gladly agreed without an issue, which was really nice.

Sadly Hotel is slightly outdated. Has a "classic" 1970's feel. Although
Perfectly located in walking distance from central train station (HBF), surrounded by wide variety of restaurants and shops on a quite side.
I stayed in a single room on the 5th (top) floor. Decor was old-fashioned, dated and showed signs of "tiredness".
Service was helpful & friendly, but as stated, slightly dark and anachroous feeling to the establishment.

Room #210 WiFi signal weak

Very professional and friendly front desk. Spacious room with ample lighting. It will be better if the parking slot in the rear side of the building could get permanent lights. Motion sensored working fine but dont cover all the corners.

The TV is not HD-capable and therefore only of limited use! Everything else is fine.

Exactly what you need for a city break. We’ve spent there three nights. Our room was quiet, spacious and elegant. The hotel is real 4 stars, positioned in City Centre short walk from train station, shopping centres and many restaurants and cafes. I would definitely stay there again.

Although the hotel is rather old, the facilities are excellent in all aspects, and it even has parking, which exceeded my expectations.

It's a very retro hotel with spacious rooms, including bathtubs. The location is convenient, right near the train station. The breakfast is plentiful, and the breakfast room has a cinematic feel.
