We found this hotel a bit dissapointing for a Mercure hotel. The location is not great, although walking distance to some local shops and restaurants. The location is great, very close to Stadthaus metro station. However, the shower facilities are quite old, with issues like clogged drains and uneven water flow. The girls' room has a strong smell of paint or wood, which is a bit unpleasant.

The location of the hostel is a bit scary. So, the way to the hostel in the evening was scary. The check-in time was so, so slow. I arrived 10 minutes before the check-in time, but I was only able to check in after 30 minutes.

We have visited Bonn and stayed at the delightful Hotel Aigner at least 3 times the first in 2011 always for the Christmas Markets. The reason we keep coming back is because of the lovely staff who are there to ensure that you have a good stay. The room was quite small for three people, and the extra bed provided for the third guest was uncomfortable. We also noticed some small stains on the bedsheets, which was a bit disappointing. We had a very pleasant experience staying at the President Hotel in Bonn. Its in a central location with a lively street full of restaurants and bars, though you dont hear this at all when trying to sleep due to the soundproof windows. Breakfast was nice. Parking spaces are quite tight though so if you have a big car then be aware of this, it fits but its quite narrow.

The biggest issue with the place is it's position over a 4 lane motorway. This means the views are spectacular and one cannot really open a window for all the noise. Mind you, the beds are nice the room is clean and the show pressure is fantastic. An all together great hotel once you are in and shut the window.
