Hotel Grand Tour in Koln

They locked the door and would not answer my calls and blocked my number. This was after I had confirmed my reservation and that I was arriving late.

I just spend one night at your hotel, and this was the worst hotel night I have ever had.

We arrived around 3.15 pm yesterday, someone who wasn't speaking English at the desk gave me the person in charge on the phone and this person said it was ok for our booked room. He didn't even ask my ID, I thought it was weird but ok.. We had the key room n°111 , remember this number.

After our setup in the room, we left and we went in the center of Cologne for visiting. We came back around 11 AM at the hotel, exhausted and frozen. I opened the door and what did I see ? Lights, tv ON, bed devastated, cigarettes smell, bottle of wine next to the bed, some belongings from other people..is it for real ?

It was the room 111, no doubt about this, OUR room. There was nobody in it. While we were attempting to reach you by phone, we waited the unknown people in the hallway. After 30 to 40min, they showed up, a couple. They had the key n°111 and they were heading to our door. We stopped them.

We talked a bit, they do realized we were occupying the place before them (our bags were inside with other stuff of us; we used a towel and some soap too) but still, they didn't bother, they had sex in there (we found some obvious evidences), they drank wine, they smoked (a lot, it smelled really bad, I even found ashes in MY reservation paper they used as ashtray, can you imagine that?), in OUR room we've paid for. They left the hotel and we got the room back after a little chat. We were forced to sleep in a completely messy room, without blankets and pillows, without clean towels (yes, of course, they had a shower). Moreover, we didn't sleep well at all, I already had a cold. I finished the night with the flu. This is just unacceptable !

So what's is going on in your hotel ? How is this possible ? How can you give 2 same keys at two different clients ? There is a serious lack of competence here. This is really bad.

Just to sum up a bit :

- Some people used our room = no safety + violation of privacy : our stuff was in the room, they could have stolen money and valuable things, they could have left their key on the door so we can't open it anyway, we sleep outside the hotel.

- Your "emergency" phone number was not available, we tried to call you (the other people too)... a lot, in order to fix this situation and to tell you how displeased we were. Plus, there is nobody from your staff in the hotel.

- We paid for a room with full services , we only got half of them.

Advice: Don't stay in that hotel.
