Clean and staff are friendly

Right off the train across the street to find this nice and friendly hotel. Breakfast costs extra. Very busy area around the train station.

I had a fantastic stay at the AC Hotel Mainz. The room was spacious, comfortable, and well-designed, with plenty of storage and a great layout. The air conditioning worked perfectly—especially appreciated during the warm weather—and the in-room refrigerator was a convenient touch. Stayed in room 501 at the top. One of the highlights of my stay was dining at the Adam & Eve restaurant. The staff there were outstanding—attentive, friendly, and professional. The food was truly exceptional, easily some of the best I’ve had during my travels. The front desk staff were equally impressive. They were polite, accommodating, and made check-in a breeze, even allowing me to check in early without any hassle. They stored our party's luggage until the rooms were ready. Overall, this hotel is perfect for anyone visiting Mainz. Exceptional service, comfortable rooms, and an unforgettable dining experience. And...it is right next to the train station. Just a great hotel!!

This was very convenient to the train station. The restaurant was wonderful. Great Tapas. Everyone was very friendly. Our only negative is it was listed as having laundry services but we found it not to be available on a weekend. There is a self service laundry about a block away.

Fantastic experience. The hotel doesn't look like much from the busy street, but once inside it is a great little hotel. I was in Mainz for work with several others, and it was a great central location near the train station with direct lines to FRA. The amenities were not luxury, but everything was very well attended to. My room was on the second floor overlooking the square out front. The room was quiet, well climate controlled, and very clean. It felt like an apartment, with detailed woodworking around the windows and everything was built solid, so nothing squeaked or rattled, and you did not hear anyone in the hallway or on the busy street one floor down. The staff remembered my name each time I saw them and always said hello with a smile. All that would have been good enough, but the restaurant is incredible. When you see a hotel restaurant filled with locals every night, you know it's good. Breakfast was a "buffet" meaning there were items out to choose from, but you could order eggs cooked to your liking. Everything was fresh, clean, tasty and it was a great selection. We also ate dinner here twice. The menu was small, but there is something for everyone. I had the duck the first night and an Icelandic fish (can't remember the name) the second night. Everything was perfectly portioned, hot (without the plate being hot) and well presented. Given the amazing food, I was in need of some exercise. Aside from being in a good location for exploring Mainz on foot, the AC has memberships at a fitness center next door called McFit. I went twice and it was great to have a full gym with all the equipment while traveling. I will be back in Mainz regularly and this will be my hotel of choice.

While my stay was pleasant overall, I did experience some noise from neighboring rooms at night. It seemed the doors closing were quite loud. Perhaps a modification to the door closures could help mitigate this.

The hotel is located diagonally opposite the Mainz train station, which is very convenient for catching the train. The authentic German restaurant Zenz is a 100-meter walk away, which is highly recommended.
The room has a large city view and can accommodate children with an extra bed. The room has enough space and the facilities are quite complete and standard. The lobby bar and restaurant are well decorated; the breakfast price is not expensive, 19 euros per person, and the variety of dishes is very average among hotels of the same level in Europe, and you can eat enough.
The parking lot is in the basement of the next building, not far away. I have not experienced other facilities, so I will not comment on them.
What is really amazing is the spiral staircase in the hotel, which is very German in workmanship! Take a bird's-eye view of the wooden stairs during the day, and take a bird's-eye view of the light and shadow at night, which is very good!
If you come around Christmas, there will be a small night market in the square in front of the station every night, and you can drink authentic German mulled wine!

A very good hotel, the staff is exceptionally friendly and courteous, the rooms have always been cleaned in an exemplary manner. The breakfast buffet is highly recommended because everything from scrambled eggs to omelettes is made to order, there is something for everyone. The location is directly at the train station so central and easy to reach. If you have any questions, the staff always know the right answer. I am already looking forward to the next visit
