Great location. Rooms are dated and mattresses & pillows need updating. However, rooms are quiet in spite of the location, and air conditioning worked well in 36 degree heat. Breakfast was excellent. Clean and quiet matters more than modern.

The hotel is rather 'quirky'. It has obviously been altered internally at some time and this may account for some unusual features like a step in the bedroom floor and a concrete(?) column at the end of the bed! The owner is a gem! He felt like family. The location a stone’s throw from the train station was super-convenient. The biggest drawback was the lack of air conditioning. The weather during our stay was very hot, and our room was a bit like a sauna. Afternoons and evenings were pretty rough — had to stay hydrated.

If you want a luxury resort, this isn't your place. If you want a safe, quiet, clean, and above all convenient place to sleep, this is it. Just steps away from the train station, beautiful central Mainz is very walkable from here. It's a small place with personal service. If I ever get a chance to go back, I'll certainly stay there again. Mainz is beautiful, by the way.

Well run, excellent location, friendly service at all times

Quiet, small hotel in the family estate, in a prime location directly at the main station. First we were confused because of the other reviews, but we got a good price and were pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness. We met the boss and his wife personally, he gave a lot of tips on sightseeing in the city. We were satisfied and would book again!

This is budget accommodation but gives you all the basics you need. Location is tricky, in an industrial area, so without car you may not want to stay here. Our own point of criticism is cleanliness. A real clean of the room seems to be too much to ask for, not sure how often the grubby carpet is being vacuumed, for example. Bring your flip flops then you are ok.

The location is a bit remote, about a 15-minute walk from the tram. The owner is very nice, and the single rooms at the B&B Hotel are spacious enough, so space is never a problem.

Average budget hotel with free parking

It is described as a budget hotel (it is certainly not three star, more one star) and it is just that. I would say €75, which I paid for a room was too much. There are only limited hours when a member of staff is available.

Basic and affordable budget accommodation within industrial area. Never had breakfast myself. Vending machine for snacks and drinks in lobby. Self-check in via machine - have your booking code and smartphone camera (code for room displayed on screen only) ready!

This was very convenient to the train station. The restaurant was wonderful. Great Tapas. Everyone was very friendly. Our only negative is it was listed as having laundry services but we found it not to be available on a weekend. There is a self service laundry about a block away.

While my stay was pleasant overall, I did experience some noise from neighboring rooms at night. It seemed the doors closing were quite loud. Perhaps a modification to the door closures could help mitigate this.

The rooms are spacious and quiet, which is rare in the city center. The Wi-Fi is fast and reliable, which was a big plus since I worked during my stay. It was a super quiet hotel in quiet neighborhood. No road traffic noise. The rooms were extremely small and basic. Plenty of Parking available on property. This is a great hotel for short stays and you are only in town for business. Or you have something to take care of at the University Medical Hospital.

It is a little bit old style and kind of retro feeling, but it is absolutely worth the money.

This place is absolutely amazing, it is easily reachable and quiet and from here you can easily visit the wine region. The staff are easygoing and shares useful tips with the visitors.

The problem is that there was nobody at the reception in the evening when I arrived around 6.3pm and my phone could not connect so I had to ask people to call for me. In the end a letter was left outside for me but I wasn't warned.

I had a Comfort Single Room. It was clean and practically furnished. Overall, you can tell the hotel is showing its age. The staff was friendly, but understaffed. The restaurant was closed, and the reception was only open part-time. No daily room cleaning. Good breakfast. Good transport links. Suitable for a short trip. 3-star hotel.

It's a very nice family owned hotel. The room was so spacious, and the toilet was clean spotless. Everything was extremely clean. The beds were comfortable. Fluffly feather pillows for a good rest in a quiet area. The homemade breakfast buffet to start the morning was more than enough to give me energy to explore the lovely city.

A great location for budget travelers! Only steps from the Bahnhof and then from the rest of a very friendly city. Be careful you could easily walk past the entrance. Hotel is great! Was there for some days for a work trip and had everything I needed. There’s an Italian restaurant in-house where you can pick-up dinner; there’s a supermarket just opposite of the hotel as well as a bus stop. Staff was incredibly friendly and nice. We felt very welcome the moment we stepped into the hotel, our room was already available, charging point was very easy to access for our electric car. My mom lives only a short walk away from the hotel and this was the perfect location. A short walk from the train station. The staff was always friendly and willing to answer any questions. Very friendly staff, we had a problem with a broken toilet so we got upgraded straight away to a better room. Location is also perfect, walkable to city center. There is also no sound from the trains/traffic hearable in the rooms. Good price for nice clean room. We didn't have breakfast here, in the city there are better options.

Best price/quality ratio, everything you need for a short stay is here. Super friendly stuff! Service is very important, very. English speaking. The parking place is free and available, but not always easy to find. Literally the hotel is located on Bahnhof, but it's not noisy at all when the window is closed. I don't mind choosing this hotel again for a stay.
