Comfortable room.. Helpful staff
I personally like hotel rooms with no carpet at I believe it's much cleaner with hardwood floors. That and the very nice rainforest shower made our stay very pleasant. After a long hike you want to kick off your hiking boots and enjoy a long shower :)

When in Neustadt again, we will be back!
Extremely poor service, when we booked the hotel it said it was 1 minute to the Palatinate Forest, the receptionist said no it's 45 minutes by car. There was no light at the back entrance and parking lot for the first several days. Unusually much traffic noise! Poor cleaning in the breakfast restaurant, the trash cans on the tables were not emptied, the plates were not wiped, all the trash was just wiped on the floor. We found a stolen credit card nearby, they were not helpful in giving it to the police, no but said why didn't you leave it there. I had to go to the police myself with the card, under all criticism, we will never go there again!
On the plus side: the breakfast was ample and attractive. Eggs were made-to-order.
On the minus side: The elevator is barely big enough for two people with packbacks and is frequently out of order.
On the plus side: the handsome, next-door restaurant serves excellent food graciously. The courtyard is lovely when the weather is good.
