Where to stay in Leipzig

The Campanile hotel is ideally located, just a stone's throw from the airport terminal, perfect if you have an early flight, for example. The staff are very friendly. There's a pleasant lounge area in the lobby, and the rooms are functional and perfectly adequate for an overnight stay. Unfortunately, there's hardly any food available, just a single Bockwurst. And for my sleeping needs, the mattress...

Arrived on a late flight at midnight so the airport hotel was ideal. Walk out of the arrivals almost straight into the hotel. Very basic rooms but with a good visual on some parked planes out of the room. Breakfast also simple but sufficient options available

The hotel's location is absolutely excellent! It takes only a couple of steps to reach the airport! The second pictures shows the view from the fifth floor, as you can see the airport is really nearby

Basic room basic everything 2 mins walk from the airport. Price is amazing.

The price is relatively cheap, the room is quite big, European hotels are relatively clean, the breakfast is very rich, and it is very convenient to the airport, which is a good choice for business trips.

There's nothing to complain about. It's always a pleasure to stay there. Friendly staff...friendly guests ****TOP****

I stayed for one night and found the service friendly and everything else to be great.

First and foremost this hostel is clean and comfortable enough, although the sturdy wooden bunks have slightly awkward stairs and are not the easiest to navigate while putting on bedsheets etc. Service was efficient and kind but is otherwise also quite absent, you check in and that's it. The kitchen is good, a little small but it's all that it needs to be. I think there is a restaurant in the garden...

I can't believe this clearness and cosy bed and also it is really good isolation with this price. There is just a little bit of far from the centre but it's easy access to the tram. So I would say perfect hostel.

The room, with so many people, is very susceptible to noise. The bathroom is fine and the checkout process is very easy.

It was very comfortable because there were partitions.

A cool, welcoming spot right on the city’s iconic art street. The service was warm and attentive, making it a great place to relax and enjoy the atmosphere.

The hostel was really clean and the rooms were great. There’s a nice little biergarten/cafe at the bottom of the hostel and the employees are really nice and helpful. It’s only a couple of minutes from the S-Bahn. Highly recommend for your next stay in Leipzig.

One of the best Hostel in city! Good price, excellent staff, really recommended. Only thing is if you prefer the "centrum" experience, maybe look for other options. We were desperately looking for a place to stay at half past ten at night when we around this little hostel. Super nice staff and great prices. Clean and well equipped. Our room smelled a bit of scented candles, but I think it was just to fit in with the atmosphere of this hostel.

We stayed two nights at Homeplanet Hostel in the Egypt Apartment. + Very friendly and helpful personell + Very nicely decorated room + Reasonable prices - The beds were just cruel. The double bed was just too small for two people and the matress was probably quite old. With every turn, the bed made loud noises and was very uncomfortable - One of the single beds in the apartment almost fell apart...

Although quite shabby on the outside, the minute we walked through the door, we were so comfortable. We were greeted by the lovely Sophie and given the tour of the hostel. It’s super quirky and unlike anything we ever stayed in. To top it all off, the garden was amazingly lush and quiet and the coffee was awesome.

Most beautiful Hostel! Friendly staff, cool designed and clean areas. The highlight is the spaceous garden, which calls for a drink in the evening and is perfect for kids to hang out and play. Nice restaurants and bars are within walking distance, still it's calm and quiet in the neighbourhood. We stayed in a room faxing the street and it was perfectly quiet.

I have stayed here a few times and always return, the staff are extremely friendly, the prices in the dorm are affordable, there are curtains surrounding the beds of room 12 which is uncommon and gives a nice sense of privacy when sharing a room with others. Super cute. Laundry was available and free, just had to ask at the reception desk. The air conditioning wouldnt go below 22c but that was fine, and i loved that the towel radiator was functional and dried things quickly. Elevator was quite small but we didnt run into anyone else at all so it wasnt an issue. The kitchen was perfectly functional with a nice induction hob, but no oven, just a microwave...

Great place A wonderful spacious apartment. Clean, comfortable and such a relief the aircondition was on in the extreme heat in mid August. Close to the centre, very friendly and helpful staff. Will come back again.

Very close to the central city and to the railroad station. Clean and comfortable apartment and not at least also very affordable.

Fantastic location just outside the old town and close to the main railway station. The apartment was excellent. It was clean, in good condition, nicely furnished and had everything you would want. Fully useable kitchen with all crockery and utensils. Cleaning service every other day and 24 hour reception across the street. Even had free laundry machines with soap. Well worth the money.

Nice site in a tranquil setting. I can only speak from our experience with a motorhome. Large pitches in shady settings. Sanitary facilities are showing signs of age and would benefit from some maintenance, however there are plenty of them and the showers are great! Access to the city could not be easier. absolutely brilliant! clean, great showers, wc, lots of space and very close to bus and tram stops! we were very happy to stay there! just be prepared for mosquitos 🙂🙂🙂

A long established campsite. Offers a range of accommodation. Clean and all facilities were great. Also easy to get to city centre from. Will stop at a Knaus site again

The campsite is big and pitchs are a good size. The showers and toilets are clean and have easy access. The campsite is flat. Bus stop out the front. 3 stars for no wifi at all. Not that i need it but it does come in handy when looking at Google maps and seeing whats around the area. Its a ok campsite and would get very busy in the summer.

Nice location for a camping area. When I visited this place the restaurant was closed unfortunatley. Hopefully it is now open again

Large camping site with numbered parcels. It is at cycling distance from the inner city, using a bike path along the canal and through parks. It is a 'Knaus' camping site and Knaus being a caravan manufacturer, this is the type of vehicles (and people :-) it attracts. The site is large and impersonal. Still, the toilets are clean and the showers are warm, you could do worse. The restaurant closed in...
