We felt very comfortable. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The disco in the hotel's aviation bar is especially great.

It's an amazing place.
Rooms are clean and well maintained.

I have been to this hotel mostly for work retreats with colleagues etc. the location is quite outside the town so getting there by private cars is recommended.
At least the rooms that I have stayed in have been very nice with good views. Clean and well kept. The bed is super comfy and I could sleep very deeply. Also had complimentary water tea coffee.
The breakfast have always been very broad and beautiful made. Lots of stuff to try from. The buffet is also quite filling and has lots of things to try. Especially the cheese and grilled veggies.

If you don't mind: in English (or Dutch...)
It was my second time in Hotel Rennsteig. And I really really liked it. The place itself, the garage for my bike, the rooms both times, the food, the people who work there...
I don't understand the people who have comment on the food: for me it was perfect, served by friendly people.
So: next time again, I hope with more Dutch people (11 this time). And as far as I know: all Dutch people were very happy with the hotel and this lovely week.
O yes: all the attention for driving fast and curves: I don't like that. Next year a group slower then the slowest this year. And not 280 km a day, but 150 max.

Extremely unfriendly and uncoordinated. Restaurants complain about lock down but do not accept guests. Great business idea!

Nice hotel and nice staff. But internet here is horrible. In 80% of the time you cannot use wifi. They need to make this little better. Rest is ok and food is great.

Rating purely for the cafe. Cake selection great and super delicious. You are always tempted to order a second piece because you can hardly decide. Coffee products also great. Ideal for a break after a hike.

We went to this very nice cafe with our hiking group. Very tastefully decorated and very nice service. The cake and the ice cream were homemade and very delicious. Just great and highly recommended.

Nice view, nice place, good cakes and kind, but somewhat overwhelmed, staff. For a café, there's certainly room to improve on the tea-selection side.

Very nice and cozy hotel. Great breakfast and wonderfuld homemade cakes. The Owner the hotel is very friendly and helpful. Great place for hiking.
