Clean, decent, more like a 3 star than a 2 star hotel, very friendly and helpful staff, a family run business, close to everything in Ermoupoli ( centre, bus and boat stations, amenities, facilities, cafes, restaurants)

Πολυ κακη εμπειρια! Παναρχαιο δωματιο που χρειαζεται ανακαινιση! Βρομικα τζαμια, λερωμενοι τοιχοι, καμια υγιεινη στο μπανιο με αλατα πανω στα ειδη υγιεινης,σπασμενο καπακι τουαλετας,απο τις λαμπες αναβε μονο η κεντρικη, τα σιδερο του παντζουριου σκουριασμενο.Το κλεισαμε το βραδυ για να κοιμηθουμε κακειν κακως, καθως δεν χωραγε να κλεισει λογω χωριτηκοτητας επιπλων στο μικρο μπαλκονι και το πρωι δεν ανοιγε με τιποτα ειχε σφηνωσει,σκονη πανω στα επιπλα, σκουριασμενα καγκελα μπαλκονιου. Το προσωπικο απαθες, καμια προσφορα στην επιλυση των προβληματων. Δεν το συνιστω με τιποτα.

This is my favourite budget hotel in my favourite cycladic island.
The hotel stands in a quite side street above the harbor area, in the very center of Ermoupolis.
From there you can explore easily the city, all the shops are around.
The Aegli is a small, family run place, so don't expect luxury. The rooms are a bit on the small side, but the view.... wow.
Be sure to ask for a room on the upper floor, sit on the balcony and watch the sun setting over the harbor and the roofs of the houses.
Trust the owners to give you solid advice on where to go, what to see and what to buy.
