The building is beautiful, the rooms are fantastic (especially the ones with a plunge pool), and the location is great - easily walkable to the centre of town, but just out of the hustle and bustle

The staff are amazing and can’t do enough to help - I was a solo traveller and the staff took extra care to make me welcome

The location is ideal—perched above the Aegean, just a few minutes’ walk to the water for a swim and a 10–15 minute stroll to the port area, where we found a wonderful mix of shops, restaurants, and an authentic glimpse into local life

Beautiful hotel in a very convenient location, close to all the shops and restaurants in Ermoupoli. Staff is very attentive and kind. Rooms are large and beautifully decorated

There are two lovely outdoor terraces to have breakfast in the morning and dinner in the evening with great views. It’s a short walk to Ermoupoli with lots of great shops

Our second time here and we loved it just as much! Perfect location so you can explore both Ermoupoli and Ano Syros by foot, stunning views, a lovely private platform to dive straight into the crystal-clear waters, delicious breakfast, and friendly staff who make you feel at home

After a long bumpy journey by ferry from Athens we were welcomed warmly by the team at Hotel Ploes which is located in a stunning water front mansion a short walk from Syros town centre and port

The Brazzera Hotel was the best hotel we had stayed in, on our Greek travels. It is a beautiful Hotel, well maintained & run by the wonderful owners Konstantina and Harold, who were extremely accommodating to our needs

Konstantina and Harold were both very welcoming and imparted lots of general information about their island, but also other islands we could visit on future visits to Greece (Always good to know)

Breakfast was simple yet wonderful with freshly baked bread, croissants & other daily treats, very comfortable rooms with balconies with amazing views of the beach & beyond

The owner Spyros is a gem and he and the staff go out of their way to ensure your stay is perfect. The terrace provides breathtaking views and the sundeck allows you to be inches from the clear blue water

Arrived from Milos can see room from port 100 yards to the left next to petrol station Room available for us Check in very quick , staff excellent Room 27 top floor look out to port and beyond , not biggest room

Excellent service, conveniently located, quiet, clean, highly recommended overall. The manager was super polite and helpful, and even offered a very late checkout

A word of caution - the building does have some steep stairs (no elevator, so be aware if you are less mobile!) That aside, the site allowed easy access to amenities and public transport

Couldn't recommend staying here enough. Great location and our host Christos was very nice and helpful. Breakfast was freshly made and brought up every morning which was a bonus.

But, the rooms are beautiful, the location is awesome and Chris was more than accommodating in his help and knowledge of the area. We will be back and we will contact him again!

We were not able to stay in this beautiful hotel because of a a/c issue. Chris was more than helpful and gave us a choice of staying and let us see the room. He even coordinated our transfer to a hotel nearby

Its location provides a great view over the whole city and harbour. Our room had a large patio/roof terrace with sun beds and table and chairs and was a great base to explore Syros

My wife and I stayed for 3 nights as part of a multi-island tour. This boutique hotel is located half way up the hill that Ermoupoli is partially built upon

My wife and I enjoyed our stay here. Our room was comfortable and well furnished. The shower was large and very nice. She was very responsive when we communicated. She immediately brought us beach towels upon request

1901 Hermoupolis is very well located as it is only a 5-minute walk from the city center. Our room was exceptional with a vintage design and a balcony with a great view

The (Vari) beach in front of the hotel is very beautiful with crystal clear waters and quite protected from the strong winds blowing during our stay. Last but not least, very competitive prices in accomodation

During our stay they had live Greek music nights at the restaurant. The rooms very clean and get cleaned daily by the room service team. Wifi free with very strong signal within hotel and beach sunbeds

Billy the boy in charge of the (FREE) sunbeds is the epitome of kindness. Breakfast totally out of this world. The hotel runs its own restaurant and the chef is an artist by all means

Me and my friends had the BEST stay at Hotel Kamelo! All the staff were so amazing - Vasilis was so friendly and helpful while we laid by the beach on the complimentary sun lounges

A hotel that is a little way/ walk from town. Very clean and the staff are very helpful. There were great restaurants nearby, and we attended a tour through an old textile factory that was amazing

Also, closeby is the Ferry port, a bakery, and a convenience store

Bare in mind that the lodge is located (as most of the houses on the island) on a hill, which means you'd either have to walk up ~70 steps to get there or take a taxi through alleys

We had the best sleep in ages, great beds and mattresses, the room was perfectly cleaned daily, spacious, cozy decor, but what was unbeatable was the magnificent view of all the city's great places and the sea view!!! We had lovely evenings with a glass of wine in our balcony

We had a reservation that had to be canceled due to severe weather conditions on the islands, as the ferry was canceled. The owner was very kind and understanding and accepted our cancellation without any additional fees

We enjoyed having breakfast and later on an evening drink there, watching the boats come and go in the harbour. The hotel is centrally located, only a short walk from the harbour and in the centre of Ermopouli

We arrived late at the port from the island of Kythnos. The owner of the hotel picked us up from the port, which was really kind of him. The room we stayed in was fine, it had everything you needed including a fridge

The shower was nice and powerful. The centre isn’t far from the hotel, with many nice cafes and restaurants. Lidl is only a 15min walk from the hotel. In my opinion, the hotel is good value for money

The room was nice and even had a small kitchen, so we could make our own breakfast there. The most amazing this was the terrace. It overlooked Ermopouli, the harbour and the sea

The owner is very kind and helpful. He came to pick us up at the harbour and was very understanding when we arrived one day late due to bad weather

7-10 minutes walk to the center. Jessica suggested shops to go to, churches, etc. a small comprehensive tour of the 'good' things of the island

Clean, decent, more like a 3 star than a 2 star hotel, very friendly and helpful staff, a family run business, close to everything in Ermoupoli ( centre, bus and boat stations, amenities, facilities, cafes, restaurants)

From there you can explore easily the city, all the shops are around. The Aegli is a small, family run place, so don't expect luxury. The rooms are a bit on the small side, but the view

This is my favourite budget hotel in my favourite cycladic island. The hotel stands in a quite side street above the harbor area, in the very center of Ermoupolis

Be sure to ask for a room on the upper floor, sit on the balcony and watch the sun setting over the harbor and the roofs of the houses

We had a room at the back of the hotel with balcony which was really quiet especially considering the location on the harbour front. The room was immaculately clean. We would definitely stay here again

Really, really enjoyed our stay. Beautiful location on the waterfront. The building itself is over 150 years old but has been restored. Seems the rooms are a variety of sizes

Syros is a lovely, lively island and the Aktaion is in a superb location on the harbour. If you arrive by boat you can easily walk to the hotel

The rooms are luxury with comfortable bed and pillows, luxury linens, towels and bathroom products. The location is ideal for exploring Ermoupoli and the island. We are in our 70's and walked all over town

The balcony over looking the port was entertainment itself, watching ferries come and go, cruise ships dock and people bustling about. Given the location the room itself was private and quiet

It is located right by the stunning site of little Venice and offers very clean and elegant rooms with either sea- or City view to a very good price for value

Location of the hotel is simply fantastic, about 10 minutes walking to the city/port, with amazing views over the bay - if you book the room on the sea side
