We recently had a great stay at the King George. Everyone was very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The front desk helped us find some excellent restaurants and even went so far as to get us reservations. The rooms are nice, well laid out and with the necessary amenities (nice to have an iron and ironing board available). One thing to note is that our room had a tub with a shower wand that is connected to the wall. Not a major issue, but if you have mobility concerns stepping over into a tub may prove a little difficult or concerning. The breakfast at Tudor Hall was great each morning, definitely something I looked forward to each morning! The hotel is centrally located in Athens as well. Overall, great hotel and I'd recommend it to anyone travelling there.

Excellent hotel with very helpful staff, well appointed rooms. Well equipped gym and a Michelin star restaurant. We were upgraded to a suite with balcony which looked out into the main square. Though we were in the busy area, the pario doors insulate against the traffic noise and it was quiet inside.

The King George is one of the few 'luxury' hotels deserving of the description.

Excellent location - easy walk or short taxi/uber to several Athen's shopping districts and most of the key ancient ruins - the Acropolis, etc.

Excellent Food - The 7th floor buffet breakfast is best in class. A variety of hot & cold items, breads, local honeys, butters, cheeses, meats, eggs, fresh & ripe fruit, and on and on. Fresh squeezed juice, excellent coffee, and the best place to watch the sunrise in Athens - it comes up right beside the Acropolis (see one of the photos from their website - it's just like that).

Service is excellent. The King George is well-staffed and the staff is well trained. Plenty of people to help you and all polite, professional, and eager. A simply wonderful crew.

The rooms are great. A wonderful bed. Turndown service. Bathroom with a tub. Clean and well-appointed.

The King George is simply excellent.

As a Marriott Titanium Elite member, I was disappointed with my stay at the King George hotel in Athens. Despite my elite status, I was denied early check-in, which is typically a standard benefit I receive at other Marriott properties worldwide.
The hotel's lounge area was particularly inadequate - there simply wasn't enough seating available, making it difficult to find a comfortable place to relax or wait. For a property of this caliber and price point, I expected better facilities and service.
While the location in Athens is excellent, the lack of proper elite recognition and limited common areas make this hotel hard to recommend, especially for fellow Marriott elite members who expect certain standards and benefits to be honored.
I've stayed at numerous Marriott properties globally and this experience fell well short of what I've come to expect from the

We stayed for one night in September and we received a interconnecting room that we asked to change to avoid noise of connected room. We were very tired and needed to rest. Unfortunately, we realized during the night that the new room we received was very noisy with the motor or the elevators not letting us sleep. We did not have the force ro change again. Breakfast was good but not exceptional. We highly prefer Grand Bretagne

This place isn't that great, especially compared to others we've stayed at. Really just a bit of a disappointment all around after seeing so many positive reviews.

It's little things, like telling you that you can use the pool at the hotel next to them but not clarifying that it's not the rooftop pool (the good one) and only the spa pool (floor -1), or the fact that I can't even get cocktails from the bar and bring it up to our room while we get ready. The rooms are a bit lackluster and the showers poorly designed. The only positive I've seen so far is the location.

Check out the Akademia Hotel down the street (Nyx is also a great rooftop restaurant at the hotel), which we enjoyed much better during our recent stay.

My stay at the King George Hotel was nothing short of unforgettable. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel genuinely welcomed, seen, and valued. Their warmth and attentiveness set the tone for my entire stay and made this my home away from home.

This was my first time in Athens, and choosing the King George was one of the best decisions I made. Waking up each morning to a breathtaking view of the Acropolis was an experience I will treasure forever. There is something magical about opening your curtains and seeing history, culture, and beauty all at once.

The combination of exceptional hospitality, comfort, and an unmatched view made this hotel a true highlight of my trip. I will always carry the memory of this stay with me, and I can’t recommend the King George Hotel enough to anyone visiting Athens.

The location is decent, but honestly, it's just average. The price is ridiculously high for what you get, there's no real view to speak of, and it's not even particularly close to any attractions. I really don't understand why it's so expensive.

So glad we chose King George for our 4 days in Athens. We opted for one of the suites that we shared with our 17-year-old son. We usually get separate rooms, but decided we'd try one of the suites instead while we were waiting to board our 8-day cruise. This hotel did not disappoint, and the location was perfect for first-time visitors. Top-notch service, very comfortable rooms, extremely clean, and great staff. Their restaurant for breakfast and dinner was also incredible. Exactly what I would expect from a 5-star hotel. I highly recommend going next door to their sister hotel for drinks or dinner.

Very bad service. I don't like this hotel. Everything is wrong. The front desk is not responsible.
