On the surface, the internals of the hotel are good. It seems clean and most staff are nice people. But beneath the surface you will find cockroachs and unknown stains on bed sheets. However, these were the only bad points. We used the duvet cover as another layer between us and the stained mattress. Although it was fairly disgusting to know that we were sleeping with cockroachs in the bathroom (only 1 in the bed room), the rest of the internals are pleasant. Air con, fridge, decent shower, a TV, and even a nice balcony.

The area outside is less than is to be desired. Upon arrival, we felt fairly unsafe. Surrounded by homelessness, it isn't unreasonable to feel insecure. However, after around 4 to 5 days, we felt more at ease. Although there were homeless people, they didn't bother us. Although it felt rough, there were no rough looking people or violence. In fact, the people in the surrounding area seemed pleasant; standard locals.

Considering the proximity to transport and the low price of the hotel, these negatives can be forgiven. Although I wouldn't stay again, I don't regret the stay.
