Athens Way Pop Art Hotel in Athens

This was the worse experience I've ever had at a hotel. We couldn't get in the building when we arrived. We had to wait outside until a hotel guest came and opened the door from the inside. Then, when we got to the 6th floor at the desk, the lady said she was on her way out and when we leave in the morning no one will be there. Furthermore, the AC in the room (302) was not working. We had to sleep with the door open and listening to the sounds of the city kept me up all night. It was an absolute nightmare!!

Very basic room furniture, dark room with an awful smell all over the hotel probably from the Airconditioning. The TV was not working, the flush toilet was broken, the hair dryer also not working. Towels and bedsheets not super white probably are old and need replacing with new ones. The location is convenient but was expensive for the quality it offers

Warning! Service prices changing on the way
After a refundable reservation I've received an email asking if I wanted the taxi at a certain price, I replied the day after asking for the service, the I got a reply after a couple of hours with a higher price.
I called them and a woman literally told me with a rude manner: the manager has changed the price, do you want it or not?
Be aware to book with them and stay in a harsh and stressed environment as normally Greece is a relaxing place to visit for tourists.

After paying for taxi from Piraeus to get to the hotel we were told that they had given our room to somebody else and cancelled our booking. I only received the email notifying me of the cancellation when we arrived at the hotel. Reception staff were not helpful, not apologetic.

Nice hotel, clean, deluxe rooms are great, and not too expansive, but they tried to cheat us!

The room (Delux room with balcony) is great, the location is awsome, and the overall claenliness and hotel condition is very good.
BUT!
They tried to cheat us.
I'm sorry that I'm so blunt about it, but it's true. We've made a reservation for 2 deluxe double rooms (we were 4 people) with a balcony. We emphasized that we want to stay nest to each other, and that we smoke so we want balconies (as promised). When we arrived late at night, hotel staff informed us that we don't have a balcony that it's upon availability, they said we paid a discounted price on our rooms (I'm a Booking Genius so in many times i get 10% off), and that they have no solution for us. We asked to speak to a manager, they said he doesn't speak English so he won't answer us. i kid you not. We tried to call Booking which didn't answer until tomorrow in the afternoon (which is also a very bad service, as Booking always claim they support their costumers 24/7). Super tired (it was around 1 AM) we went to sleep, in a standard (very small) room, and not the room we paid for. Only after allot of fighting with hotel staff, they suddenly had the rooms we ordered, i.e., Deluxe rooms (which are great as mentioned above). Not every costumer knows to stand for his rights against hotels, and i believe many would have settle for a standard room after paying for a deluxe room. The hotel just tried to cheat us, i guess they were overbooked and thought they could get away with that. BTW they offered us a 10% discount for all nights, which is nice (still haven't seen it in my credit card), but the hotel manager (so it seems, she never introduced herself) started educating us and tell us how to behave, when she should have been ashamed of the way she treats her clients, and the fact we caught her lying us and trying to cheat us. So it's a fair hotel, it's clean, the deluxe rooms are great, it's not too expansive, but if you will decide to book from them, be careful as they probably will try to cheat you, they never said they're sorry…
