The staff were great and all really helpful with everything that I needed.
Again the hotel for me served its purpose, although the bed was low down it was reasonably comfortable. The shower is so small that it was hard to wash but water pressure was good! It needs updating and so was hard to know whether it was unclean or just old.
My next door neighbour had the telly on all night, and it was on when I popped back in the daytime too. Not a problem if the walls weren’t so thin that I may as well have been watching it in my own room.
If you want a place to crash for the night and friendly staff then this ticks the boxes, otherwise I’d probably try somewhere else next time.
The train station is across the road from the hotel, which is very handy.
The room was spacious enough for me. It got cleaned most days.
The hotel is about a 25-30 minute walk to the main attractions (or you can just get on a train). I just googled places and walked everywhere.
Never felt in danger walking around (that includes night time, too).
There are a couple of mini supermarkets around the corner from the hotel with a variety of different things (fresh produce, etc).
My room had a nice view of the city, and the sun was shining on my balcony most of the day, I could watch sunset (see photo)
My ONLY negative was the smoking. The cleaner would smoke in her cleaning room, and when I got fresh towels, they smelt of cigarettes. Smoke travels, and I always knew when she had arrived or when she was smoking. I noticed that the hotel is a non-smoking hotel, but other guests were smoking on their balcony.
Other than that, I had a nice, clean, and relaxing stay here. I would stay here again, super cheap and cheerful.
