Insects are quite noisy, throughout day and night so take your ear plugs if you're sensive ;) As a couple we would have loved one big mattress instead of 2 single beds put together but that's bearable

Lovely hotel, scenic setting, welcoming staff and very responsive indeed. Family run, can’t fault it. Like many Cretan hotels, they only do breakfast, not evening meals.

Hard to say where to start: the people working in the hotel were extremely helpful and nice; there are several comfortable beaches in walking distance; the view from the balcony at the seas and sky has no comparison; the breakfast was plentiful and tasty

The hotel with a wonderful sea view. The rooms are nice neat and cleaned often. The service is nice and friendly. There is a quiet, idyllic atmosphere. Perfect for vaccation! Prices are rather mid or low.

Amazing hotel on the west side of Plakias, close to the center, opposite the beach with a stunning view of the Libyan Sea. Spacious and spotlessly clean rooms make the stay at the hotel enjoyable

Alianthos Estate Resort - ex Alianthos Garden

During our first vacation at Alianthos, we noticed how well this hotel is managed. Many visits later our point of view rests unchanged. Friendly staff, nothing is too much trouble, in short, you feel welcome here

Restaurant Amalthea manages to deliver the best cuisine you could wish for, every year again. All credits to chef Sotiris, who presents refined, flavorful dishes that do NOT become boring after a while

A couple of nights per week they have traditional music from Crete and those that know the traditional dances lead the way. The staff is super helpful and the owners a beautiful family

It is with some sadness that we stayed at Alianthos for the last time as we have always known it. Major renovations, including a new building, are planned for this winter

This is a wonderfully ambitious project, through which the Vardakis family will take the spirit of Alianthos to an even higher level

The transfer is an opportunity to get to know the island in all her beauty. The warmest of greetings at reception is the start of a magical stay. Enjoy a cocktail at Nymphes, the Hotel bar, supplied by friendly staff

Porto Plakias Hotel&Spa

I was at this hotel at the end of the season, in the second half of October, so it might be that my experience is not completely the same as someone going, say, in August

We stayed for 10 days during our vacation in Greece and enjoyed it very much :). It's a smaller hotel with super friendly staff. Rooms were cozy and cleaned every day. Breakfast is served in Myrtis hotel just next door

The hotel staff is very polite and attentive. The hotel is very clean. The location of the hotel is very good, close to the beach. The rooms are clean and the breakfast is more than enough. I definitely recommend it.

It is located less than 5 minutes' walk from the beach and I had a nice balcony from which I could see the sea. The room was spacious and it had a real double bed, not two separate beds put together as often happens

The people were incredibly welcoming and friendly, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The service was exceptional, with the staff always attentive and ready to help with anything we needed

Awesome location ! 1 minute from the beach and a good place to start a hike the opposite way. The service and staff was 🤩 I felt like I was talking to family. The rooms had everything included. Perfect place.

Creta Mare

The location is nice, with a calm beach right in front cause the water is protected by rocks to slow the sometimes wind-blown sea. The wifi could perhaps be a little stronger. The view tops everything off though

my sister stays in this hotel for last 15 years every year. good location, friendly staff, unbelievable sea view

Compared to the lady visita, this Place gas reslly improved, the breakfast Is now satisfying, the air conditioned works perfectly, the owners are always nice although the man dorsn't speak a Word of English, nice location front the Sea, we' ll sure come back

They also have a small private beach with trees where u can hide during noon. Very quiet place and a plethora of taverns where you can eat and watch the sunset nearby. They also have parking available

The option for a queen bed is nice, especially because it’s an actual queen bed and not two doubles stacked next to each other. The bed was very comfortable. The service is super friendly

Lappa Hotel

The other 1 star ratings are just plain bold and completely out of place. Again, only your own inability to properly inform yourself in advance (parking spaces, facilities, location) at the hotel is left out

The only thing that may have been mentioned is for people who are hard at work, It is less suitable because the access is a bit cumbersome, but only a small piece. But for everyone else highly recommended

After 3 minutes you are already on a beautiful beach and have various shops and numerous great restaurants nearby. Jannis, the owner, gave us a very friendly welcome

Every day he speaks to all of his guests, and every day he taught us something Greek (at least tried to). We are left with a 2 star hotel. Air conditioning and a refrigerator are available at an additional cost

If you like it quiet and relaxed, you should definitely go on holiday here. The owners Janni and Irini are very nice hosts and we felt very comfortable

Or given 1 star without explanation. If you want to spend a quiet, relaxing and wonderful holiday, you are in good hands at Villa Lappa

The room are very nice , the design is cozi and modern , the staff is nice and very professional, helping always. We arrived in the middle of the night and they left instructions for us, key, water

Plakias bay hotel is the perfect stay in Plakias! We were accomodated in a new room, with a balcony facing the garden and the sea. Staff was very nice and food very good

We spend the week in Plakias Bay Hotel and loved it! The room was recently renovated and equipped with all we needed including air conditioning, coffee machine and small refrigerator

The resort is at the end of the road so it s quiet , the view from our room was great , the food is very good. There s a village 12 minutes walk , the beach is 5 minutes walk

Lovely family-run hotel, incredibly nice staff. Rooms are modern and very clean! I cannot emphasize enough how amazing our vacation was! Definitely will be visiting again!

We also had dinner a couple of times and the place is very pleasant and relaxing. The garden has a sea view so both breakfast and dinner can be enjoyed with a beautiful view

Alianthos Beach Hotel

We just stayed in Plakias for a few days and we ate our / lunch. The food was really great ( sea bream and lumb. Stuff was kind and attentive and knew English very well

Excellent location right on the beach in the centre of the resort but wasn't noisy. Staff were very helpful, friendly and hard working

We were half board and found the food to be excellent with good choices at both breakfast and dinner

The food is so good and the staff is amazing. Ecxellent service and the view from the reastaurant is spot on. We’ve been here many times and hopefully we get back again. Our absolutely favourite in Plakias.

We were visiting Plakias for the first time, our requirements were simple, a hotel close to the beach, a clean room with a sea view and a comfortable bed. The Alianthos delivered all this and more

The hotel is perfectly positioned just across the road from the sea. Our room was light and airy, with plenty of storage space. The bed was large and comfortable

The breakfast was a highlight, a delightful spread of fresh, local options that made our mornings even more enjoyable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and it exceeded all of our expectations

The hotel is close to the main village and the seafront but on a side road and far enough back to be peaceful and quiet

An absolutely amazing experience! The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome from the very first moment. The room was spotless, beautifully decorated, and extremely comfortable

Our room was clean, spacious, and perfect for a relaxing holiday. The pool area was lovely and the beach just a short walk away

The only thing we missed was some evening entertainment – we couldn’t find an entertainment team or any organized activities during our stay

Amazing resort, close to the beach, close to village, quiet area.

The only downside I noticed was the lack of entertainment. Unlike some nearby hotels that offered live music, poolside zumba, and other fun activities, Plakias Resort didn’t have an entertainment team or organized events

Yet another great 2 weeks at Sofia (3rd visit) , location great, rooms clean and comfortable, great choice for breakfast, nothing more to add other than booked again for next year, thanks to all the team at sofia, see you next year :-)

The breakfast buffet has plenty of options with different types of eggs, cheeses, cold cuts, fresh vegetables, Greek yogurt with many add-ins, cereal, and numerous pastry options, fresh juices, and an espresso machine

Great and very friendly family run Hotel with a super breakfast buffet. Free parking around the corner as well as access to a lot of restaurants and shops

We are very glad we chose to stay at this hotel and we will stay again if we’re back in the area

Highly recommended if you look for accommodation in the area of Plakias

Rooms are well decorated and equipped. The beds are enormous and very comfortable. Rooms are cleaned every day and bedding and towels changed every 3 days. Family run to a very high standard

I can't even start to describe how magnificent the landscape and the sea are, or the fact of sunbathing on the cliffs almost alone, the swimming pool from which you dominate the cost and the promenade in the mountains above

The hotel boasts a stunning location, blending naturally into the surrounding mountains right on the seashore. Relaxing by the pool, you can enjoy the surf

The staff was friendly and helpful, the food was excellent, offering a selection of traditional Greek dishes, as well as fish and several meat options daily, delicious desserts, a selection of salads, and several types of cheese

Drinks included three types of young wine, local beer, and cocktails mixed for you by the bartender. All rooms are surrounded by beautiful flowers and palm trees and have a separate entrance, ensuring privacy

Staff were so welcoming and changed my room for me due to back issues. Room was basic though very clean and comfortable. Only thing missing were coffee making facilities. Would come back in a heartbeat

The hotel grounds are quiet and peaceful, with plenty of flowers and palm trees, ensuring nothing distracts you from enjoying the surrounding beauty

AMAZING! We had a wonderful 4 nights at Belvedere apartments in early September. Everything about the place is high quality and extremely professional. The staff are so friendly and the rooms beautiful and clean

We stayed in July at the Belvedere apartments in Plakias , Crete , I was compelled to write a review because of the amazing standard of service we received. From the moment we arrived the level of service was excellent

Impeccably clean rooms and the attention to detail was outstanding. The receptionist Elda has to be one of the happiest people we have ever encountered and nothing was too much trouble

We loved that you could choose your pillow from a range of options - such a clever idea. The breakfast was astonishingly good

All these elements combined to make Belvedere the best holiday accommodation I have ever stayed in

We were slightly disappointed that unlike advertised on the webpage - pool was not heated but water was very cold. In May it can be a challenge with small kids. Also we got cute beach bag from hotel

We stayed at the Louise apartment. Everything was perfect and the unobstructed sea view from the large balcony was spectacular

Τουλάχιστον decent επιλογή με καλή τιμή, ωραία τοποθεσία και θέα. Το δωμάτιο πολύ άνετο και όμορφο. Δεν έχω κάτι αρνητικό να σχολιάσω πραγματικά. Η κοπέλα στην reception ευγενέστατη και βοηθητική. Θα ξαναπήγαινα άνετα.

We also very much appreciate that Thalassa apartments allows pets, and we could have our pet friends, Jolene and Navajo with us. Thank you very much for the hospitality

We could hear the waves at night, which was very relaxing, and we could stare at the stars (half balcony was roofless, I guess for this reason)

First time I've stayed here, but I've been to Plakias many times. Stella has it's regulars and it's easy to see why. Basic accommodation but lovingly cared for. Would certainly think of using Stella again

Very nice small hotel. Friendly host and clean room. Some furniture was a little bit tired but refrigerator and kettle were fine.

For us Studio Stella is the place to stay in Plakias. Nice rooms including a kitchen and balcony. But mostly we feel there the welcoming warmth of the owners. This makes us keep coming back.

Marcos and the delightful Evi..... I love them both. Such a nice couple and so welcoming. We will be back to stay with you. No fuss no frills, just a nice place to stay with honest people.

WARM welcome. VERY clean room. Can hear the waves at night.
