Porto & Spa Mini-hotel

The Porto Plakias hardly deserves its four stars, which it displays abundantly everywhere. The hotel is on a human scale, but the rooftop pool, with its exceptional view, can accommodate a couple. On the other hand, the breakfast room and, therefore, the pool, are in the hotel next door. As a result, the advantage of the small hotel (not too many rooms) is lost, and the poolside is too narrow to accommodate all the vacationers who would like to take advantage of it to relax, read, or sunbathe. Moreover, regrettably, the tables and chairs are made of plastic. The room equipment is rudimentary: don't expect to find a kettle (neither coffee nor tea), or a key for the safe because it is for rent (and your computer won't fit in it). The bar by the small pool is closed. Likewise, the large bar facing reception is always closed. Only the pool bar at the next-door establishment is open, from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. The soundproofing of the room doors is nonexistent: you might fall asleep with the last people to arrive and wake up with the first people to leave and their suitcases rolling around the establishment. There's no real parking, just a few white lines drawn at the foot of the embankment of the neighboring property. There's no housekeeping on Sundays.

I don't understand why this hotel is a 4 star, I'm giving it a 2 star maximum. At first glance from the outside the hotel seems fine. As soon as you walk around, you quickly notice that the building needs a lot of love (renovation). Wet bedroom carpet, leaking toilet, therapeutic bath in the room that is rusty and there is not enough water to fill it! Impossible to take a shower without splashing water everywhere. I do not recommend this hotel to travelers at all. The only good thing is that it is close enough to the seaside and far enough away to be in a quiet location.
