Reviews
The hotel is located on a steep road about 50m above the rest of the town, with a beautiful view of the town and the mountains. After 3 minutes you are already on a beautiful beach and have various shops and numerous great restaurants nearby.
Jannis, the owner, gave us a very friendly welcome. Every day he speaks to all of his guests, and every day he taught us something Greek (at least tried to).
We are left with a 2 star hotel. Air conditioning and a refrigerator are available at an additional cost. You don't need more.
The other 1 star ratings are just plain bold and completely out of place. Again, only your own inability to properly inform yourself in advance (parking spaces, facilities, location) at the hotel is left out. Or given 1 star without explanation.
If you want to spend a quiet, relaxing and wonderful holiday, you are in good hands at Villa Lappa.
But for everyone else highly recommended.
Starting with an unfriendly, sobering welcome and an odyssey through Plakias (the locals also had a hard time finding the hotel), the parking problem followed. On a very steep road, at the unpaved shoulder, there was space for 3 cars. 10 meters further down, I was immediately reprimanded to put my car away. Only the 3 parking spaces were occupied. With luggage for 14 days, access to the hotel was either via a bumpy path or from the very bottom via a steep,
to reach overgrown dirt road. Help to unload the luggage was not even offered
90 meters to the beach, it said in the prospectus and view of the sea and the village. The fact that it was steep meters in altitude and that there was only a view of an ugly shell from the hotel was logically nowhere. Because of the idea of having to spend a few days there, we moved away and looked for a nice, friendly apartment.
