2 star hotels in Platanias

We've enjoyed a couple of weeks staying in this hotel with wonderful staff. There was no loud music from the bar in the evenings unlike other nearby hotels. Location is perfect - 4 beaches nearby, Lidl, bus station, nice park for morning jogging. Free gym is another big plus for fit people. Thanks a lot Christos, Maria, Andreas and all the cleaning ladies for your great service.

Great beach hotel Very nice little hotel. Close to at least four different sandy beaches. Staff was very kind and helpful. Breakfast was very good, with options for vegetarians. Including Cretan specialties. Only downside was that the air conditioning was in the living room only and didn't get to the bedroom. They gave us a fan and it improved things a lot.

Me and my husband stayed for 10nights, I couldn't fault the place, we stayed on the first floor 1 bedroom apartment very clean and spacious, plenty of sunbeds around the pool, decent size pool, walking distance to restaurants and supermarkets, beaches just down the road. we where here 14 days, with kids, super good hotel, good food, good pool, of course it is a place where families with kids go, so expect happy kids playing in the pool. it was VERY hot in the room, but AC is available at 7.5Euro extra cost pr day, we did that, and it was a life saver,

My partner and I paid extra for a studio apartment which sleeps 4. It was a good size and very clean throughout. The grounds are also beautifully kept. One small downside was that the shower was a bit annoying! Great location and spotlessly clean. Room large but bathroom needs updating or at least replace the shower curtain with a shower screen. Beds very comfortable with sheets and towels regularly changed. Some rooms had better views than others, ours faced another appartment block but we did enjoy the afternoon sun.

Most of this has been said before but this place is great, we had a top floor room in B block for 10 days on a self catering basis with Jet 2. We had a very late arrival and as expected the keys were on the counter in reception with a map showing where to go. The restaurants head waiter is very kind and polite. As we arrived midnight after 15h travel, we did not have any toilet paper until next day. Luckily we survived. Would have been nice to apologize immidiately and offer some extra as a kind gesture. Just returned from 14 nights in Despina Apartments, our third time, nothing is too much trouble for George, the apartments are spotless, attended to by Valentino, and the surrounding area, by George. Plenty of restaurants to choose from and shops all along the main road, and a short walk to the beach with sunbeds and shades. We are looking to go back again next year and highly recommend this complex

Lovely hotel! It’s such a nice hotel, George is really accomodating. The cleaning lady (i didn’t get her name sadly) is so sweet and good at her job. We stayed for free on the day we were leaving ‘till 6:30 in the evening. George arranged transfer to and from the airport so we didn’t have to worry. Would definitely stay here again!

Spent 10 excellent days in this Aparthotel with the family this summer! Clean rooms, very friendly owner and personnel, no extra charges beyond usual fee for air-conditioning and safe deposit box. There is a small pool, though we were not using it. The beach is just 1 minute away. Small grocery store is nearby - everything you ever need during vacation is in close proximity area.

Very nice accommodation, cleaned daily, very quiet. All the staff very friendly especially the cleaner Maria and the gardener. Ideally situated only 5 minutes to the beach and 5 minutes to the many bars and restaurants. Great value, just to add the air conditioning is extra €8 per day but much needed at this time of year.

Sweet ladies in the reception, the breakfast was delicious, new things every day. All in all a very good stay, they get our biggest recommendation!

For a Place !!! Camping Hania is a really a nice place to visit . In a middle of a tree plantation you will get a bungalow, a mobil home and even a tent . A restaurant (price ok ) ,a swimming pool and the sea at 250 m . What a wonderful place 😊

We had a fantastic time at camping Chania. Staff were great. Tents are clean and comfortable. Pool and bar area is good and great for lunch time snacks or a beer and ice cream. Beautiful beach, restaurants and shops near by within a 5min walk. Local bus will take you into Chania town too. We will definitely be back!!!
