The food is excellent, with a different cuisine every day, and the staff are all incredibly friendly and helpful

The patio got the sun all day! Some other swim ups did not have the luxury of the sun all day and our room was definitely a winner there. Food was good,lots of variety,desserts were delicious

When they found out it’s my son’s birthday they made him a birthday cake and all restaurant staff , including managers sing him happy birthday song during evening meal. I can’t recommend this place enough

The breakfast buffet was a highlight, as it was last year, the pools were always accessible and never overcrowded and the safety of the resort meant we were never worried about the boys (10 and 12) going between beach and pool

Pools are very cold apart from one which is heated. Beach is on the doorstep but you have to pay for the beds and drinks. If you’re a white wine drinker, find something else, it’s not nice

We came back for a second year with our 2 boys and loved our stay yet again. We were given a free upgrade to a superior family mezzanine room which was a fab start to the stay

The food was excellent – delicious, varied, and plentiful. Even though the hotel had many guests, the restaurant never felt crowded and the service from the waiters was consistently high-quality

The beach resort is lovely, clean and the rooms are clean and can be cleaned daily. The food is lovely but it’s the same things every night with a very small variation so does get a bit boring by day 5-6

We got the room at the lowest ground which was a bit dark but travelling with a toddler was very handy as we weren’t woken up at the sunrise 😅 and the bushes around the balcony (we complained about them at first) turned out to be very handy at evenings when we sat there during heavy wind

We still could enjoy the quiet evening there without freezing. Rooms are fully equipped with toaster, coffee maker fridge freezer and table for 4 ppl. Room was cleaned every day with fresh towels

Starting from reception, everyone was very friendly and helpful. We were offered to leave baggage’s at the reception and stuff will take them to the room

The food was also very good, breakfast and all. About 35-40 minutes to Chania by bus. You can also rent a car to travel to other parts of the island

We spent some holidays in a past years in a hotels better and worst and we had some sort of level of everything that we didn’t want go lower

We’ve searched for this year holiday for 6 months because one bad review put us off. But decided to spend this year at Caldera and that was the best decision ever

Beautiful hotel but poorly designed bathroom in our apartment. Pool was ice-cold (we went last week of the season though). Other than that, beautiful stay!

Overall a nice hotel. Breakfast is not included, which would be nice. Rooms are a little worn, but with nice facilities. Nice location next to the beach and a couple of stores and restaurants.

Unbelievable beautiful place!! Short walk to a beautiful beach, pool for small children, and 2 other pools. Bar at the pool, good food, great breakfast with what ever you want, yogurt, milk bread cornflakes

The rooms were also nice, with small kitchens equipped with everything you need for making food. The location was perfectly placed next to a shopping and dining street with all conceivable options available close by

We didn't try other hotels, but we imagine this being one of the best in the area

We were there at the end of the season and always found parking ok and loads of sun beds around the pool and on the beach. Beach is nice, shingle rather than sand. Entertainment in the evening very good

We've enjoyed a couple of weeks staying in this hotel with wonderful staff. There was no loud music from the bar in the evenings unlike other nearby hotels

Hotel location was great, if you have children, it's very close one of the best beaches for kids. Hotell stuff, they were always helpfull and smiling. We really enjoyed breakfasts.

The location was excellent, near a couple of mini supermarkets and a ten minute ( I strolled slowly) walk to a clean sandy beach I don’t normally visit a place more than once but I would return here

Hotel has a pool, we didn’t go in it as weather too cold but it looked nice. An excellent Greek restaurant around the corner (recommended by the hotel) and supermarkets close by

Perfect place to grab a drink or meal after a nice swim. They also have beachside service, which is nice. Everything on the menu was very good, though the Chicken Rool was not a favorite.

Rooms were good and smart to use key for electricity, eggs were a little salty and room was not clean when i got back even though i left sign, they did have a usb port overall good.

We had a lovely meal of fish, it was well well presented and very tasty, the service was good and waiters very pleasent

The apartments is located near the best child-friendly beach around Chania and it is only a 5-min walk to it. The beach has shallow waters, only small waves, shade from the sun because of the trees near it

One lady from Romania ( so sorry I forgot her name) made such an effort to speak and better her English with us (which was very good anyway) hats off to all staff!! How the aqua aerobics lady manages in that heat is beyond me! I never participate is things like that but we loved it

We spent a week at Geroniotis, and had a really good time. The hotel is big, but since it’s a lot of small houses, it still has a cozy feeling to it while still being an all-inclusive hotel

We had a great holiday at Althea Village this summer. It was our first holiday with our daughter which was 7 months old and the hotel felt perfect for us

The staff was really nice, everyday they were waiting for us with lunch prepared special for our daughter (at that moment she was eating only boiled vegetables), the room had a crib only for her, the "village" was quiet so we enjoyed our stay

A nice place to stay. Nothing fancy, but clean and a nice pool. The staff was especially friendly and helpful. There were two good restaurants right across the street. About a three or four block walk to the beach.

Unfortunately at the pool there was a group of young boys taking up the place by playing on air mattresses and ball and making disturbance for the other guests, owner Dina went to the pool and told them to leave! We appreciate that she took the ownership when the mothers of the young men didn’t :) Hope to come back

But not only the family,also the location is perfect,just 5 minutes walk from the beach,accross the road 2 great restaurants (Angelo and Oreganos), but you can also have great snacks at the hotel bar next to the swimming pool

The trash can was filthy, looked like dirt/poo on the inside of the door, mold in the shower etc. But everyone the cleaning lady was done it was good even though the above things still was there

Water and wine waited for us in the fridge, he served us with fresh orange juice 🍊🍊🍊 and gave us local raki when he found out that we like that 😄 Beautiful apartment with a very high standard 👍 We can highly recommend this place and we would love to come back!
