Hotels with sauna in Platanias

We were worried as we booked there for the water park but on jet 2 looking into it they were keeping the park open with the rest of the resort shutting

Fine print though states both resorts have to pay extra for the water park at €15 per person

The sea-view rooms are spacious and have a kitchenette. Their terraces open onto the hotel's beach or a small fishing port. There are also rooms overlooking the pools or the main road or in quieter corners of the hotel

We were moved from the village resort to the beach resort due to being under subscribed at the end of the season

The staff is polite, helpful, and friendly. The service includes breakfast and all-inclusive. The breakfast buffet offers a range of dishes in line with general European trends, supplemented by a few Greek specialties

Unfortunately, hotel guests "reserve" the sunbeds in the morning, so it often happened that although there was no one in the pools and around them, we still couldn't find a free sunbed

Good overall, well managed but has some are Good overall. We stayed in an imperial room on the beach side of the hotel. Very good facilities overall, but some of the rooms need to be updated and soundproofed

This is one of the best hotels I have stayed at. They have for sure the nicest staff ever. So accommodating. Great food the breakfast buffet is so so good. Definitely will come back and recommend highly.

The one thing that was the biggest miss for us was inconsistency of service from hotel staff. Some are really great, friendly, and proactive, especially the cleaning staff

Great attitude, service, and helped to solve problems. The manager also called us at the end of the day to check if everything was all right

But others seemed to have an attitude and a scowl on their face when serving you

We were there at the end of the season and always found parking ok and loads of sun beds around the pool and on the beach. Beach is nice, shingle rather than sand. Entertainment in the evening very good

From the lady that checked us in and helped me with the birthday cake for my husband, the entire front desk , the breakfast team (I think the manager name is Nikólaos), the pool staff the Spa ladies really really did above and beyond in every aspect (I'm really sorry that I don't remember more names )!! The house keeping was top notch, out room was always spotlessly clean

We booked an additional night (originally 3 nights) but I think they were going to offer us a different/upgrade room for the last night but I didn’t want the hassle of moving our stuff

Local area is no doubt very busy in the high season, but many shops and restaurants had started to close while we were there

We've enjoyed a couple of weeks staying in this hotel with wonderful staff. There was no loud music from the bar in the evenings unlike other nearby hotels

Location is perfect - 4 beaches nearby, Lidl, bus station, nice park for morning jogging. Free gym is another big plus for fit people

We were spending the whole day at the beach as the hotel is very close to the beach area (walking distance) so kids were super happy! I am planning to go back this summer with my kids

This hotel is all about location 3 lovely beaches within a very short walk €12 taxi from chania Went to 10 local restaurants never had a bad meal all excellent There's a land train stop 200 metres away so if you need to go watermark or lake kourios it's very easy

Hotel apt was clean and comfortable and staff is alwas nice and ready to help. Be aware the beach is not for children , it is really deep right after you step in the water

We only visited the restaurant for a few lunches. Very tasty food and very big portions! We loved that they fish was fresh and not frozen and have plenty of choices

The hotel is on the beach and it is nice to enjoy food and refreshments in the beach restaurant and sunny moments by the pool. The breakfast was plentiful and everyone will surely find something to eat and drink

Excellent food in the restaurant, a lot of dietary dishes for children, a variety of the diet were changed every day. Two nice pools with sea views. All the amenities in a walking distance. Will definitely go here again!

We stayed at the Indigo Mare Hotel in Platania, Crete from 16-23. The hotel is classified as a three-star hotel on websites. Considering that classification, the hotel as a whole is excellent

The bar is right on the beach, plays soft music, the personnel super friendly and knowledgeable, and best of all, at sunset, you and your drink, are alone on that long beautiful beach

We really appreciated all the activities during the day and during the evening, the flowers and the trees were really beautiful and well maintained, all the resort was very clean

Regarding the food, there were a lot of options, including also traditional Greek food. We recommend Althea Village if you want a nice, quiet and fun holiday!

The food and drink was again exactly what you need in a family holiday lots of choice and the taste wow what can I say the taste was out of this world my compliments to the chef

We had a great holiday at Althea Village this summer. It was our first holiday with our daughter which was 7 months old and the hotel felt perfect for us

At the same time, there were always local dishes to taste and plenty of vegetarian options Staff & Service The staff were lovely and super helpful, whenever we needed something, they were there Extra Perks A big plus was that even after checkout, we could still use the common area and all the all-inclusive facilities while waiting for our transfer

The staff was really nice, everyday they were waiting for us with lunch prepared special for our daughter (at that moment she was eating only boiled vegetables), the room had a crib only for her, the "village" was quiet so we enjoyed our stay

Hotel was just amazing! Very clean and cosy rooms, combining traditional style with modern facilities. Staff was so nice! Reception called us to let us know that we can have early check in

There is onsite parking but it’s a bit tight to maneuver if you have a full size car. The hotel is only a few minutes walk from Platanias Beach and Agia Marina is less than a mile away

The apartments are just a minute from beautiful beach. Another standout feature was the amenities offered within the complex - nice swimming pool and a small cafe-restaurant

The location is great, you have a walking distance to everything you need (beach, supermarkets, restaurants, shops) Big and nice rooms with great balconys, the room had everything you need and were always very clean! I have a 1-year old and they put a very good bed/crib for my son in the room

Me and a group of 17 people (5 kids) stayed here for a week. The staff and the family that owns this hotel were so friendly and so kind! We felt so welcome and at home

Really good food. The best I have tasted in Greece so far. They use mostly fresh ingriedients. If you are staying here you should try out the restaurant.

We have enjoyed our stay at Kallitsakis Beach Hotel. Great apartment with its own bedroom. A quiet hotel located right by the city center and right by the beach

The position is perfect, lots of restaurants around and sea within view. We came last year and still as lovely. Cannot fault this accommodation in any way. You are left in peace but help is only a second away

The beach is at the end of the path, 50 meters away and the cozy center with shops, bars and restaurants around the corner. We had a fantastic time and definitely recommend this accommodation!

Lovely hotel with perfect location Lovely hotel! Only few steps from shopping and sea but still quiet. No need to wake up early to get a sunbed by pool, at least during our stay.

The pool, the rooms, kitchen with a washing machine are just a few amenities to name here

We were on the first floor and the guests staying in the apartment next door are in full view on the balcony and even from the bedroom, which makes things a little uncomfortable for both sets of guests

We had a lovely time at Sun Ray luxury apartments. The hosts are awesome, the apartment is super clean and the location near the beach is a must

I asked the owners for some clean towels on what’s app (which was suggested by them as a means of correspondence), but this was dully ignored. For the price paid (a lot!), cleaning should be included as advertised

We stayed for 12 nights and the first weekend there was no cleaning, then there was cleaning every day, then none on a Saturday, cleaned Sunday then not cleaned again before we left on the Wednesday

This could be easily resolved with some dividers. The second issue was the cleaning. When the cleaning was done, it was completed to a good standard

The large clean studios near the beach with the kitchen and a huge balcony. There is all that you may need, kitchen, coffee maker, refrigerator, iron, hair dryer, air conditioning, and also all infrastructure around

Just returned from 14 nights in Despina Apartments, our third time, nothing is too much trouble for George, the apartments are spotless, attended to by Valentino, and the surrounding area, by George

I cannot fault this place at all, the apartments themselves have large comfortable beds, great air conditioning, large balconies, great showers, all the extras from toiletries, to iron, microwave, kettle and kitchen needs

Bus stop is directly opposite the apartments, and there are plenty of shops, supermarkets and restaurants along the road in both directions. It's also reasonably quiet on a nighttime if you are a light sleeper like me

George the manager of the apartments is friendly and helpful with everything from advice on where to eat, shop and excursions. The place is kept meticulously clean every day by George and the lovely Valentina

My husband and I spent 5 days here and we really enjoyed it. The room was spacious, clean and cosy. There are lots of shops and restaurants nearby. If you hire a car, there’s a car park, so don’t worry about it
