Beautiful setting and hotel . PLEASE bring back the cream umbrellas around the pool .The fringe ones don't have enough protection as they have holes and are alot smaller. A fabulous two week stay here, had room 505, very spacious, plenty of storage, amazingly clean, cleaners come in every day, lovely ladies, change towels/bedding every two days. Scala de Faro is a small, historic boutique hotel in Chania, Crete. Because it is fairly small and is in a very old building, you will have to walk a flight of stairs to get to the rooms and the small elevator (although there is accommodation for the handicapped). This is an excellent location with great staff. The hotel is fantastic but the rooms are a bit tired and in need of upgrade. Also no kettle in rooms so had to keep asking for boiling water to make tea which felt hazardous walking up and down to the room carrying it.

10 nights The pictures of the beach (canal d amour) is 2km away and there is a lot of wasps during breakfast, otherwise everything was splendid. The restaurant next door is top class and the pool area was very nice.

Wonderful Beachfront Resort What a gem right on the beach! Everything was so warm and inviting, the staff was incredible at making you feel like part of the family, breakfast was generous and delicious, and the main strip was only a 15 min walk away (so nice to not be in the middle of all the main strip chaos).

A very pleasant overnight stop just 20 minutes from the airport. Nice light, clean room. However, by the standards of many foreigners, not 4 star - probably lower 3 star. And the description I saw included 'free parking' while only on-street parking was available. Very friendly staff and good (not outstanding) breakfast. Given the price, I will probably stay there again as it was excellent value.

1st class service, lovely hotel, amazing staff, everything so clean, yes there is the odd smell now and again but it’s not from the hotel. I’ve stayed in many places in Corfu over the last 30 years and this is superb! The cocktails are amazing , the breakfasts are great, and the pool is the cleanest I’ve ever experienced.

This is a beautiful hotel, with neatly appointed rooms of a good size. At a moderate price, the finishes feel luxurious. The location steps from the beach is wonderful, and the express airport bus X96 is conveniently nearby. I had fun exploring the sights including the natural lake and the spectacular views of the sea.

Nice area, tired rooms Location is great- really near the quiet beach with good restaurants and the airport (not city). We were upgraded to a suite which was great. The property is dated, could do with some maintenance- especially the rooms, bathrooms. It is very close to Chora and as such very conveniently located. However it is too expensive for what it was.

Great place to stay! This hotel was wonderful. It was small so even when it was full you did not feel like it was over crowded. The pool area is beautiful. And the hotel is steps from the town making it easy to walk in for meals or to shop. It was a little way from the port but the front desk arranged all our transports to and from. Everyone was so nice and we really felt comfortable and relaxed.

Friendly helpful staff. We arrived late and they had a packed sandwich and fruit for us and offered a complimentary hot or alcoholic drink. The food was so tasty and plenty of options. We went on honeymoon, wow didn't disappoint the staff made us feel so special, always smiling and so helpful, only criticism is that the room was a bit small and not a lot around in relation to bars and restaurants, if you walk somewhat you will find them, its a very quiet resort so if you want a bit more about then this isn't for you, but we couldn't fault the hotel staff food amazing

The hotel was definitely not a 4 star. The food in the main restaurant let the hotel down, it was not good. The room was pleasant enough but you didn't get coffee each day only on your arrival day! I had a massage by Katerina and that was the highlight of the week, she was great 👍
