Olympia Mare in Kardamaina

We had a perfect stay at this lovely hotel. A lovely quiet beach is just steps away from the rooms and it is so peaceful yet only a short walk into Kardamena for some great restaurants and shops, car hire, etc. The room facilities in the kitchen/dining area (fridge, small electric hob, kettle, coffee machine) and bathroom (great local soap and toiletry products) were exactly what we needed.
Nicos was so friendly and helpful, answering our many questions and offering excellent suggestions on where to go, what to see and where to eat.
We will hopefully return soon.

Olympia Mare is amazing. It is a place full of peace and relaxation, where you can enjoy life completely carefree.
The location right on the crystal clear Aegean Sea is just as fantastic as the beautiful nature, the wonderful garden, the comfortable apartments with great sea view and the very nice and hospitable owner Nikos. And all this only a few steps away from the wonderful beach...

A very special mother and daughter holiday.
We had a wonderful, relaxing time at the OM. The hotel is in a secluded position, about 20 mins walk along the road from Kardamena, but there is also a bus going every hour or so. The apartment was spacious, clean and traditional, with a large double bed in the bedroom, and a sofa bed in the living room/kitchen area. The bathroom had a bath with shower attachment, toilet, sink and hair-drier. We loved the complementary high quality toiletries, and coffee making facilities with the coffee pods being topped up daily.
Our apartment was on the ground floor, which we had asked for, and the sliding doors in the bedroom were leading onto a private terrace with a table and chairs, from where we could overlook the beautiful, well kept garden with its palm trees, and the sea beyond. One of the highlights of our stay was watching the sunrise from the beach. The beach was private, with sun beds provided, and the water was very clear, there were hardly any other people there. Nikos, the owner, was looking after us very well, as was the rest of the staff. Nikos gave us great advice on where to find the best restaurants and things to do in the area. Make sure you catch a sunset from the mountain village Zia, it's unforgettable.
We will certainly be coming back to the OM. Highly recommended.

It’s a dream place to stay if you’d like to have a relaxing, quiet, and private holiday. We stayed for 7 nights (beginning of September) and we wish we could’ve stayed longer. The room is spacious and clean. The hotel beach is literally right in front (20-second walk) and we loved its convenience! The water is very clear and clean, and we barely saw people in the water and most of the time it was all for us. All the guests were respectful and there was always enough privacy for everyone. The owner Nikos is also the highlight of the hotel! He’s very knowledgeable, kind, and helpful. He gave us lots of tailored recommendations and tips. Also after checkout he let us stay at the hotel beach and lent us towels and everything, very nice!

The apartments are really nice. Everything includes (little kitchen, coffee machine+capsules everyday, towels, some bathroom stuff (Shampoo, shower gel …), balcony.

The owner is really nice and can tell you everything about the island.

We had a great time! The private beach is amazing, the rooms were great, and the owner was really nice and gave us tons of advice about things to do in the island!

We arrived a bit later than planned, but Nikos the owner was still very kind and accommodating. His recommendations for things to do and dining were aligned with what I had previously researched, so it was a nice confirmation!

The hotel itself has a very tranquil setting and all of the guests kept to themselves. This is exactly what we were looking for and if you're looking for a self service type of accommodation, this is probably the best on Kos when you factor in the private beach, distance to dining, the airport and other attractions.

Really liked Olympia Mare. Literally right next to the beach, it's a 30 second walk there and the hotel has sun beds out around some of the trees just in front of the beach. The room is spacious with air conditioning and everything we want. It's a 20 minute walk to Kardamena, or 4 minute bus, which means around the hotel is quiet.

The owner is very friendly and happy to give any advice you need, plus tasty free espresso machine. We'd definitely stay here again.

If you are looking for luxury this is not the place for you. But if you are looking for somewhere where you can swim before your morning shower and breakfast this is the place.

It is a rare place across Europe where you have your private beach. You won't need any parasols because there are huge trees just on the beach.

The rooms are expressly spacious and there are enough equipments to cook.

If you want to relax for a while, do nothing but enjoy the sun and the beautiful Agean this is the place.
