Where to stay with kids in Kos

Best cocktails are in the lobby bar, do not recommend beach bar, drinks are watered down. Hotel is child friendly with good selection of multiple food options from street food to more healthy ones - smoothies, salads

Our room (maisonette) was epic, souch space, well stocked and so comfortable! The back door led straight out onto the pool with our own sun beds just outside the door. The hotel is huge with plenty to see and do

Pools are not heated if you’re going out of high season, seaside is great. Would recommend booking brunch to enjoy lovely meal with a great view

Everything is replenished often and staff are always happy to support with dietary questions (there is also a nutritionist on site that can help!) All the bars provide great variety particularly the Island pool bar

Every member of staff has been polite and friendly. Food extra fresh and options are plenty. The healthy corner provides salads, fruit and fresh juices which is perfect for warmer days

We had a good week eventhough it was the end of the season. We liked the sports, pools, the food and the service. We had two twin beds which was very sad and the room in general was small. Would recommend though.

From the newly-renovated rooms, restaurant layout, quality of the equipment, attentivenese of the staff to the cleanliness of the every inch of the facility including pools, it was the best hotel we have ever stayed

We stayed at Mitsis Summer Palace from 12–17 October last year as a family of six, and although some time has passed since our visit, we wanted to share our experience. Overall, we had a lovely and relaxing holiday

The dining room has a mix of local and international food, there are bars and food venues throught the hotel, and the pools and beach are beautiful

The renovated rooms were beautiful, modern and stylish, with breathtaking views over the infinity pool and sea — definitely the highlight of our stay

The hotel is located on a hillside and is not suitable for guests with mobility difficulties. What a beautiful hotel, very friendly and pleasant staff. The rooms and general area are beautiful and clean

The main buffet was the area that let the resort down, as the variety and quality didn’t quite reflect the five-star standard seen elsewhere in the hotel

A minor during this season is that the sun does not hit the private pool or deck but the main pool is fully enjoyable and in sun. The beach always had sun beds available and the sea was stunning and warm

Miltiadis at the main pool took such great care of us – always with a warm smile and perfect attention to detail. Room service was fast, friendly, and made relaxing in our room even better

The food is delicious, as are the drinks served all day at the Main Bar, Pool Bar, and Beach Bar. There are two excellent à la carte restaurants: the Italian and the Meat Restaurant

The evening cocktail bars were very relaxing and chilled out. Staff were very prompt and friendly with special mentions to Erika and Edi. Overall a fabulous holiday and would recommend to anyone

The place and the staff are excellent. Really enjoyed our family time. It's a shame that the place is being renewed and transformed into an adults-only hotel.

One criticism, the last day , the beach bar and pool bar was closed

To say we were disappointed is an under statement! 5 star it is not! There were a lot of weeds by the pool, toilets out of order and leaking everywhere

Very good food, plenty to choose from. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are delicious, with local produce, fruits, vegetables, and cheeses. Very friendly and helpful staff throughout the hotel

Room numbers a bit old, but service is good and very good people who works there. Beach close to the hotel and mini market and car rental right in front of hotel is nice benefit either

Love gaurd at the family pool was by far our favourite she made all the kids feel welcome had a laugh with everyone. Serena was amazing too part of entertainment team, always checking on everyone and making them smile

Went here with a friend for 3 weeks, the hotel is big, comfortable, but more suitable for families with children. We lived in two-story buildings near the big pool and the bar

In the Spa Eleanor got all the knots out of my shoulders! The best massage. Susana in the Spa was so helpful and kind when I wanted to book a suprise for my wife. The animation team are also so hard working and great fun

We were on our family holiday in here and we spent here about 7 days. The rooms are quite big and nice. We checked in after 12PM with no problems whatsoever

Sometimes the buffet could be a bit warmer. Location: The whole place belongs to the MITSIS Group, so there are a couple of hotels but no seafront with cafés/shops etc. This is mostly integrated in each hotel

The mini-bar is for free and there's a lot to choose from, there was beer, soda etc. The location is nice, it is on the hill, so it's a little bit hard to get to your room

in all a very pleasant stay at Mitsis Family Village. One last thing , this a family resort so expect to see lots families , so if you are looking for a quieter option Mitsis have many options in the area

Room: We had a room I think its called Superior with Pool. It has much space and a balcony with direct access to a shared pool

Modern clean hotel with lovely Mediterranean planting. Good food, large pool and waterslides. The dining room staff were excellent

The hotel was stunning inside & out, every pool area had plenty of sun beds and was kept clean. The didnt pool areas meant that it never felt too busy, the adults only pool was great for us with the separate bar

We arrived after a late flight and received a warm welcome and were provided with food and water in the room. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout the hotel

) The beach is across a road from the hotel. It has nice loungers etc and a small bar but you have to walk back up to the hotel for the toilet. Disappointing how much rubbish was left lying around the beach

The facilities are all well looked after although could do with a refresh. There were always plenty of sunbeds available. Food was great at both the buffet and the two A La carte restaurants

Old town is nice but the area leading up to that from the hotel is a bit run down with rubbish and old broken furniture just left around. Sadly Kos wasn’t for me, I preferred Rhodes

My boyfriend and I stayed one week at the Kipriotis Maris Suites with an all inclusive package. The village was huge and offered a lot of services (restaurant, bar, swimmingpools, minimarket and sunbeds on the beach)

Just not a 5 star hotel in anyway so dont expect one it a 3 plus everything from food to drinks were average and the rooms not the best and some very far away up steep hills and steps not much room round the pool either

The food is absolutely exceptional, we had at least two plate fulls of each meal...

We really appreciated quality of food and drinks (their Tzatziki was the number 1 ) and the type of room. In the evening we could attend several shows even if the entertainment was quite soft

This hotel is really clean, and everyone who works here, from reception, cleaners, gardeners, chef, bar staff, team, everyone is so friendly and helpful

They do an outside cooking area of an evening, and also a nice touch is the kids section offering some simpler things kids might like

Oxana at the pool bar was just as wonderful; she always knew what I wanted before I even said a word! The same goes for all of the day and night staff at the bar by reception — so welcoming, attentive, and genuinely kind

I cannot recommend enough for anyone who is Gluten Free or Coeliac. My son (age 11) was diagnosed with coeliac disease last year and we thought we'd never be able to go all inclusive again as it would be too stressful

There is such a lot to do, so many pools, the water park and all the activities. I thoroughly enjoyed the aqua fit! The TUI kids club was amazing too. Thank you for making our trip so memorable

So much choice and such a lot of good food! Amazing service. AND, we saw Chef most mealtimes too as he was constantly overseeing things to make sure everyone was happy - not just our family

I found this hotel and was in touch before booking to ensure they would be able to accommodate him, so he wasn't just eating cardboard for meals! They were very helpful, answered all my concerns and so we booked

The experience there was great. The hotel has everything you could need or want. A beach, pool, bars with free alcoholic drinks, tasty food, and a kind reception. The manager himself was very helpful and professional

Had a wonderful stay at this hotel. Two huge swimming pools and Hotel is right on the beach. We had the half board which included breakfast and dinner. The hotel is about a 30 minute walk to the center of town

Free table tennis and tennis were a nice touch that delighted me. The only downside was the rooms and some parts of the hotel which were visually old. A proper renovation would be suitable

Just returned on 15 October after 8 day stay our third visit to Kos always stayed at Atlantica hotels this is first time at Beach resort but far the best we usually go Adults only but the children were all well behaved so was not a problem on arrival George the hotel manager booked us in and treated us really special cannot thank him enough what a lovely human being he is

A large pool with not overwhelming entertainment and a separate adults only pool was a great luxury to have (wish smokers were corralled into a smoking area though)

Everything from dining to leisure and entertainment were perfect plenty of choices to eat and relax or swim we were always able to get one of the many many sunbeds gueste did not need to reserve with towels as Dawn breaks as many other hotels we stayed at did

This is the first time in Greece that we had a Sandy beach so was perfect for us. I would like to give thanks to the 3 piece rock band we were priveleged to watch the lead guitarist was up there with the best

The beach was sandy, loads of sunbeds and it was easy to swim in the sea. Really hard working, courteous and helpful staff throughout - thank you all. It seemed a really well managed hotel to us

* Aqua park Just a few minutes away from the hotel there is an aqua park with many different waterslides (scary and not 😆) and pools

Been here twice now, and it is good. The rooms are spacious, and the pools are clean. Since my first visit in 2018, the food and drink has gone downhill. The beers and cocktails available tasted very poor.

Stayed for a week in a room with a private pool and we really enjoyed it. The room was cleaned meticulously and the buffet food was very good - lots of choice and very fresh

All pools are in full sunlight for most of the day, very little shade for children or non sun worshipers. Sun loungers are taken very early and limited fixed parasols

Location is a bit far out with a couple of neighbouring hotels which we didn't mind, but would have been nice to go into the nearest resort (taxis are hard to come by on the island)

The hotel is on the flight path for landing so beware of aircraft noise (although we got used to this pretty quickly)

I stayed at Grecotel Lux Me Kos with my partner for a holiday, and we checked out just yesterday. Overall, we had a lovely and relaxing stay; the rooms were perfectly fine—comfortable and clean, with everything we needed

As it was the very beginning of the season, not all of the facilities were fully operational, which is something to keep in mind, but it didn’t really bother us as we were looking for a quiet and laid-back getaway

What truly made our stay special was the staff, so a big thank you to the reception team who were always incredibly helpful and happy to assist us with any information we needed

Other hotels had boxes of toys, which kept our children happy if they didn’t want to join in with the organised activity. The hotel and its grounds were beautiful. The grounds and hotel were very well kept and clean

A very special mention goes to Iren, who was absolutely wonderful throughout our stay—she was always there for us and responded to all our requests immediately and with such kindness, truly making a difference to our experience

The rooms are well laid-out and comfortable and are thoroughly cleaned and re-stocked every day. The pools are excellent and never felt over- crowded and the pool-side drinks service was a wonderful touch

The hotel is gorgeous. Quiet and very well maintained. The food was excellent in variety and cooked with passion. Had a pool room which was out of this world.

The other hotel pools are also not heated. You do get use of the Spa pool downstairs where The Spa is located

Around the resort itself there were plenty of spaces to relax whether by the pool or just enjoying the views, and everything felt well looked after

We have a five month old baby and we couldn’t use the pool it’s was far to cold we wouldn’t book this room type again because of this reason huge huge shame! The food in the main restaurant was fantastic, plenty of choice for breakfast lunch & evening meal’s, we were all inclusive drinks were fantastic, brilliant choice of cocktails ( you download the app and get a code on arrival so you can order...

Wonderful staff who are so quick and efficient thanks to their mix of students studying Travel or Hotel Tourism type studies. Really was one of our best 5 star holidays and no regrets.

Some stains could be easily cleaned with right products and some effort. The food is good, I always find something, however, sometimes it did not look so nice. All in all I had a very good and comfortable stay!

Large pool area, no race for beds so it feels like you don't have to rush out in the mornings. Drinks are OK, no premium drinks in all inclusive but you can pay for these

The Hotel area is very beautyful. The size of the room, especially the bathroom, is perfect. I love the free safe as well as the electronic handling in connection with the cleaning service

Nothing has changed after the room cleaning next day. We have a little baby and put all the used diapers in a plastic bag, tied it up tightly and neatly to be picked up by the cleaning staff

There were still hairs from the previous guests on the bath, bathroom floor and various spots, very visible. Mirrors were not wiped for a long time, remote control was very sticky and dusty

Staff: Most were lovely, didn’t have a great experience with one of the managers who made us feel as if we were a nuisance when we told her about some of our issues, one of the bar staff was really rude and always miserable, almost grunted when you spoke to him! One member of the animation team was really inappropriate, very full on with the husbands and didn’t get the hint when you wanted to be left...

Nice resort food was good with plenty of choice drinks were ok. Entertainment in adults only bar was shocking. Double room was nice but very small. Family rooms around the pool were big but very noisy

The rest of the animation team were great and put in a lot of effort. Location: Not great if you like to explore, only one shop within walking distance

Good shuttle bus in to the town. Would not call this resort 5 star but it was nice

There is a bus that runs into the local town every hour which is great but wouldn’t stay at the hotel again as we like to be able to walk to places. Summary: Ok, not worth the money though and wouldn’t return

Food: Good, bit repetitive at times but you expect this when staying for 2 weeks. Hotel: Good, the gardeners and cleaners work non stop

Stayed here for a few days in July 2025. Big complex, great location right on the beach, numerous swimming pools, decent rooms

The crazy golf looked tired and poorly maintained but offered an alternative activity. There are beach parties every Wednesday - good music & atmosphere

There is 3 pools which were kept nice. Entertainment at night was good, live music, games and a dance act on greek night. Beach is super close, the bar at the beach not included in all inclusive but drinks are cheap

Gaia Royal is probably one of the best resorts we've stayed. Rooms cleaned daily so very clean. Mini zoo for kids and also mini golf, several kids play, tennis, football, basketball court, 3 very good pools with bars

The room (Family Superior 2 Bedrooms Side Sea View) was in one of the buildings very close to the beach and the terrace had a really beautiful view of the sea

At aria you very much felt the ‘have not’ of not being deluxe guests - the deluxe only pool commands the best position at the hotel with a lovely view of the sea, and had lots of space throughout the day

Having previously stayed at Ikos Dassia we were a bit disappointed at Aria. As a couple travelling without children and non-deluxe, Dassia is a much better option

The adults only pool at Aria is tiny and is next to the deluxe building. The beds were always busy in the morning. Dassia however has a large adults only pool which we never struggled to get a bed at

The non deluxe pools were very busy, crowded and had slow service for drinks / food

The staff are the real highlight though, always asking how they can improve the experience and never leaving you with an empty glass, without being too formal or pompous

Everything was as expected from a top 5* resort. Stuff attentive, well managed, facilities well organized and tidy.

It was our first adult only hotel and wow, it is in a different league! The hotel is clean, tidy and in a good state of repair. All the staff are very friendly and polite, they really make you feel welcomed

Staff very kind and helpful, wanting you to have a fabulous holiday. I fell on the cobblestone drive and Christina, Guest Relation Manager, was very supportive and enquired multiple times as to my wellbeing

Our room was clean and modern. We were lucky and were offered a room upgrade from a premium suite with sea view to a premium suite with a shared pool

This is the second time at this hotel and we had a wonderful time. All of the staff were amazing in particular the guest relations department. Reception staff, in particular Denisa she was most helpful

They've been amazing and made a drink slightly off the menu "Iced Irish Coffee", To help with dealing with the warm weather, as it's close to 30 degrees

Ideally located around a 10 minute walk into the town centre. We stayed in this hotel for 7 nights as a family of 4, room 320! The hotel, staff and facilities were great and would say that they are a 5* hotel

Food and drinks were plenty and a good choice for everyone. A choice of 3 pools and a 2 minute walk onto the beach. If we were to come back to Kos I wouldn’t not hesitate to stay over again

Our room was a Junior Suite (2 adults and 2 children) with a spacious room and a view overlooking the beach

We visited the water park, Nisyros and also hired a car for a day and did a road trip round the island. We did not want to leave and cannot wait to go back! Hopefully for a 10 day stay next time rather than 7! ☺️

There was plenty of choice at meal times and the staff were genuinely some of the nicest people we have ever met! Kardamena is a very short walk away, just 10 mins along the beachfront

The local village Kardamena is just a 10 minute walk and you get to walk on the beach front seeing the amazing scenic views. We stayed in room 230 and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay

My kids especially enjoyed playing boules, darts & water aerobics lots of fun and well-organized as well as the usual work off your breakfast games in the pool

Pool Two pools—one larger than the other—both very clean and never overcrowded, even in August. Entertainment The entertainment team was great

Tv’, safe and ample wardrobe space. The bathroom was modern, with a great shower and complimentary toiletries. Service All staff were consistently pleasant and polite, which made the experience even more enjoyable

Only issue here for me were the cats as few running around the hotel. ️ Beach The hotel has a private beach with a volleyball court. It was quiet, even in peak season, but quite stoney with ample sunbeds

Improving transport infrastructure would really benefit guests and the island overall. ✅ Final Verdict Overall, the hotel is a clean, friendly, and relaxing with great food, service, and entertainment

My kids really enjoyed the entertainment team who made them laugh and made their stay feel welcoming. Cleanliness Spotless throughout. Rooms were cleaned daily, and sheets changed every other day

Having a room with a private pool has just made this the most relaxing holiday, so much so that we have already booked for next year

Just back from our second holiday this year at Akti Palace. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, we loved every minute. The food, the staff, the entertainment all fabulous

We were upgraded to a shared pool room, very nice. Room was spacious, lovely and clean with the mini bar topped up daily and cleaned/fresh towels daily

Yes the bathrooms need an overhaul, but everything worked! Yes it's not 5 star, but that didn't put us off after our first trip and certainly hasn't put us off after our second

Stayed here for 10 nights in bungalow 77 with a shared swimming pool. The hotel is around a 20 minute walk to the main resort of Kardanena where you will find restaurants, bars, shops and beautiful promenade

The hotel is spread over a medium size area with the main building, swim up apartments, bungalows and family bungalows in different areas

The hotel is extremely clean everywhere and has a large amphitheatre for entertainment, small shop, spa, outside snack bar and pool bar

The food choice and quality was the best I have ever had on any holiday, everything you could think of was on offer including Qyail, rabbit, octopus, several different fish and meats every evening

The private beach is only a 5 minute walk from anypart of the hotel, the separate snack bar is between the hotel and beach

Perfect for families with children. The staff is outstanding and very responsive to answer any questions you might have. They are quick in responding to your emails. It's a little bit of a walk to the beach

Every complex has their own little pool in addition to the super size pool in the middle of the complex

Big Thank you to our Cleaning Personnel for Room G4203 in the first October week 25. We never experienced such a warm welcome and accommodating. The room was always very clean and we hope our tip reached the right lady

7am every morning the cleaning staff were very loud and shouting by the back of the pool bar which was irritating when trying to catch up on rest

Location of hotel and our block is excellent for the beach, which is miles and miles long, perfect for long walks on soft sand! The beach is also peaceful and no noise pollution from water sports

Food was nice when it was freshly cooked at the restaurant, such as grilled fish, pork, fresh spaghetti in cheese wheel, roast duck. Their desserts, specifically the baklava were great

Some of the reception staff could do with some customer service training, they seemed very fed-up and we felt unwelcome on arrival. Drainage around block B was smelly 3
