Where to stay with kids in Kos

Best cocktails are in the lobby bar, do not recommend beach bar, drinks are watered down. Hotel is child friendly with good selection of multiple food options from street food to more healthy ones - smoothies, salads

Everything is replenished often and staff are always happy to support with dietary questions (there is also a nutritionist on site that can help!) All the bars provide great variety particularly the Island pool bar

Our room (maisonette) was epic, souch space, well stocked and so comfortable! The back door led straight out onto the pool with our own sun beds just outside the door. The hotel is huge with plenty to see and do

Every member of staff has been polite and friendly. Food extra fresh and options are plenty. The healthy corner provides salads, fruit and fresh juices which is perfect for warmer days

Pools are not heated if you’re going out of high season, seaside is great. Would recommend booking brunch to enjoy lovely meal with a great view

We had the private pool rooms but there were plenty of lovely pools throughout the hotel to use We look forward to returning

Excellent stay, very relaxed! We stayed in the bungalow with sea view and it was perfect. No faults. Everything was easily accessible from Mitsis Norida. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

We had a good week eventhough it was the end of the season. We liked the sports, pools, the food and the service. We had two twin beds which was very sad and the room in general was small. Would recommend though.

The entire staff deserves praise: everyone was extremely friendly, attentive, and professional – from the reception and the waiters to the housekeeping team. You can really feel that they work with passion and care

The facilities are top-notch, and I was thrilled to see the new check-out lounge and showers—such a great touch for guests. I even got a lovely room upgrade with stunning sea views, which made the stay even more special

The unlimited pizza was one of the best parts!!! The pizza is made infront of you and it is so fresh and delicious, we often had it by the pool instead of going to lunch

Great hotel for family’s vacation also for couples, too many pools, food so delicious and they are so benevolent

It’s difficult to get a spot by the infinity pools but you either need to get there early, or around lunch time when people have gone to get food

So I’ll start with what was great… the pools are beautiful, we pretty much went to the two main infinity pools everyday, we got there at 8 every day to get sun beds and they go FAST

The food was just on the whole bad. We HATED the dinner and lunch buffet and only went twice. The selection is really small and the food is just semi warm and generally bad

The man who took pool drink orders was absolutely amazing and made our trip! He made sure everyone always had a drink and was so kind and friendly

The house keeping manager Linda and Boma do such an amazing job. It's an amazing hotel and will be back next year. I would give 10 stars if I had the option. Well done to everybody at Mitsis

A minor during this season is that the sun does not hit the private pool or deck but the main pool is fully enjoyable and in sun. The beach always had sun beds available and the sea was stunning and warm

Miltiadis at the main pool took such great care of us – always with a warm smile and perfect attention to detail. Room service was fast, friendly, and made relaxing in our room even better

The food is delicious, as are the drinks served all day at the Main Bar, Pool Bar, and Beach Bar. There are two excellent à la carte restaurants: the Italian and the Meat Restaurant

The evening cocktail bars were very relaxing and chilled out. Staff were very prompt and friendly with special mentions to Erika and Edi. Overall a fabulous holiday and would recommend to anyone

We spent a fantastic family holiday with this hotel. From the view from our balcony to the girls on the entertainment crew we have no faults nothing to complain about. So much food to chose from at every meal

the atmosphere at the hotel was not the best and the entertainment was not good , it was disappointing you felt no need to dress up as watching the entertainment was outside from the canteen under the shelter and very cold in the nights

We boiled it up one evening to make a couple of lattes in our room but the water instantly separated from the powder like some sort of chemical resistance so we didn’t touch it again

Arrived at the resort to not been checked in tidy TUI had Made A mistake of only booking two the room rather than four had to ring TUI to sort the issue out and another hour before checking in which not good after

The open bar was a pleasure to be in, the service was brilliant; Husein the bartender was very professional and quite experienced in this field of work, he made sure that all the orders were completed to the highest standard and always gave service with a smile, he is the best bartender I have ever been served by

There are four pools and I think that we tried them all! The main one is like a huge lagoon, with whirlpool baths and water jets

We often struggled to find sufficient lounges for all seven of us in the same location. If you want to rest from the hustle and bustle of kids and loud music, you should try the adult pool

I felt very full up by the end of the holiday. The pools are amazing, chilly, but amazing. We found some more secluded pools in the satellite area. The entertainment was not to our taste

Just returned on 15 October after 8 day stay our third visit to Kos always stayed at Atlantica hotels this is first time at Beach resort but far the best we usually go Adults only but the children were all well behaved so was not a problem on arrival George the hotel manager booked us in and treated us really special cannot thank him enough what a lovely human being he is

A large pool with not overwhelming entertainment and a separate adults only pool was a great luxury to have (wish smokers were corralled into a smoking area though)

Everything from dining to leisure and entertainment were perfect plenty of choices to eat and relax or swim we were always able to get one of the many many sunbeds gueste did not need to reserve with towels as Dawn breaks as many other hotels we stayed at did

This is the first time in Greece that we had a Sandy beach so was perfect for us. I would like to give thanks to the 3 piece rock band we were priveleged to watch the lead guitarist was up there with the best

The hotel had a room dedicated for leaving baggage and this facility also had showers and changing area which was perfect as we had to check out of our room on our last day at 11am but was not being collected until 8pm which meant we could still use the pool

Had a wonderful stay at this hotel. Two huge swimming pools and Hotel is right on the beach. We had the half board which included breakfast and dinner. The hotel is about a 30 minute walk to the center of town

The Town of Kos is very bicycle friendly. There are bike lanes from the hotel to the center of town. One can rent bikes directly in front of the hotel

The experience there was great. The hotel has everything you could need or want. A beach, pool, bars with free alcoholic drinks, tasty food, and a kind reception. The manager himself was very helpful and professional

Be aware that sometimes is crowded and you have to wait for a spot. Animation team is nice - however there are only 2 members (Kat - really liked her) - I think sometimes not enough for so many people

Free table tennis and tennis were a nice touch that delighted me. The only downside was the rooms and some parts of the hotel which were visually old. A proper renovation would be suitable

The rooms are well laid-out and comfortable and are thoroughly cleaned and re-stocked every day. The pools are excellent and never felt over- crowded and the pool-side drinks service was a wonderful touch

The hotel is gorgeous. Quiet and very well maintained. The food was excellent in variety and cooked with passion. Had a pool room which was out of this world.

The other hotel pools are also not heated. You do get use of the Spa pool downstairs where The Spa is located

Around the resort itself there were plenty of spaces to relax whether by the pool or just enjoying the views, and everything felt well looked after

We have a five month old baby and we couldn’t use the pool it’s was far to cold we wouldn’t book this room type again because of this reason huge huge shame! The food in the main restaurant was fantastic, plenty of choice for breakfast lunch & evening meal’s, we were all inclusive drinks were fantastic, brilliant choice of cocktails ( you download the app and get a code on arrival so you can order...

Also they have weddings hear so our pool area got taken over by a wedding party 🥳 for a couple of day we were there

We ended up staying in another block (308) and that room was much better, modern, immaculately clean and a much higher standard than the previous one

All pools are in full sunlight for most of the day, very little shade for children or non sun worshipers. Sun loungers are taken very early and limited fixed parasols

Great at times, terrible at others and again at times a very long wait to be served. That said the hotel is in a fantastic location and has great amenities, just don't expect a 5 star service

Been here twice now, and it is good. The rooms are spacious, and the pools are clean. Since my first visit in 2018, the food and drink has gone downhill. The beers and cocktails available tasted very poor.

Some stains could be easily cleaned with right products and some effort. The food is good, I always find something, however, sometimes it did not look so nice. All in all I had a very good and comfortable stay!

Large pool area, no race for beds so it feels like you don't have to rush out in the mornings. Drinks are OK, no premium drinks in all inclusive but you can pay for these

The Hotel area is very beautyful. The size of the room, especially the bathroom, is perfect. I love the free safe as well as the electronic handling in connection with the cleaning service

All families with children thought so, for one family it was even a reason not to return. If the leadership is smart and would like to continue to accept families here, something must be invented

The only object of criticism is that the children's pool does not have a canopy so that children can play at least in partial shade, the children are in the open sun, and this is unpleasant

Since the umbrellas by the pool are small, there is no shade, and the playground can be equipped with triangular rags (solar sails)

Gaia Royal is probably one of the best resorts we've stayed. Rooms cleaned daily so very clean. Mini zoo for kids and also mini golf, several kids play, tennis, football, basketball court, 3 very good pools with bars

Garden areas beautiful and balconies on apartment blocks very spacious and sheltered from sun

Gaia itself is a bit out of the way but there's very good buses that run from hotel reception that can take you to Kos town and that costs €3

To far away from the sea, the swimming pool are not very clean, so I think they don't filter the water

Excellent hotel!!! A large green and well-groomed territory, several swimming pools (there are sea water, there is also a children's pool), a jacuzzi, a private beach, there are enough umbrellas and sunbeds for everyone

We enjoyed our 10 day stay at the hotel. We were a family of five spread over two rooms. We were bought a welcome drink on arrival, which was very pleasant

The second room was much better, there was no unpleasant smell and the view from the balcony was much improved. We had bed and breakfast only , as we like to eat out every day at the local restaurants

Same story as a lot of others who've travelled recently, we were apprehensive about some of the other negative reviews but we've left wondering if they even went to the same hotel?! Although it has to be said, we did visit after the summer rush so that probably had something to do with the feedback we'd seen

A quicker check-in would’ve been appreciated after a long journey! Our first room had a bad sewage smell. Thankfully the hotel were happy to move us rooms, and sorted it the day after arrival

We used the kids club most days, this was okay, although not the best. We felt that the hotel should have provided more toys, for the children

Restaurant service throughout the stay was also slower than expected, with meals frequently taking a long time to arrive and at one stage taking over 25 mins to be seated despite being on time and with three small hungry, tired children it was poor

One area of real concern was the speed and manner in which buggies were driven around the resort. Given the number of small children present, they were often driven unsafely and at speed

While it is understandable that Deluxe guests receive additional benefits, the standard package is already very expensive and should still feel seamless and premium

The room service food was again very poor, often tasteless and on several occasions undercooked, which was disappointing for a premium resort

Securing restaurant reservations proved difficult and there remains a clear gap between the standard and Deluxe experience

Overall the service felt less polished, with fewer highly trained staff compared to other Ikos properties we have visited

Ideally located around a 10 minute walk into the town centre. We stayed in this hotel for 7 nights as a family of 4, room 320! The hotel, staff and facilities were great and would say that they are a 5* hotel

Food and drinks were plenty and a good choice for everyone. A choice of 3 pools and a 2 minute walk onto the beach. If we were to come back to Kos I wouldn’t not hesitate to stay over again

Our room was a Junior Suite (2 adults and 2 children) with a spacious room and a view overlooking the beach

We visited the water park, Nisyros and also hired a car for a day and did a road trip round the island. We did not want to leave and cannot wait to go back! Hopefully for a 10 day stay next time rather than 7! ☺️

There was plenty of choice at meal times and the staff were genuinely some of the nicest people we have ever met! Kardamena is a very short walk away, just 10 mins along the beachfront

The local village Kardamena is just a 10 minute walk and you get to walk on the beach front seeing the amazing scenic views. We stayed in room 230 and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay

Staff: Most were lovely, didn’t have a great experience with one of the managers who made us feel as if we were a nuisance when we told her about some of our issues, one of the bar staff was really rude and always miserable, almost grunted when you spoke to him! One member of the animation team was really inappropriate, very full on with the husbands and didn’t get the hint when you wanted to be left...

Nice resort food was good with plenty of choice drinks were ok. Entertainment in adults only bar was shocking. Double room was nice but very small. Family rooms around the pool were big but very noisy

We began our holiday waiting in reception in a long queue in the early hours of the morning for a golf buggy to take us to our rooms…over 45 minutes! Shown to our rooms - we stayed in the adult only section with shared pool, Rooms were next door to each other and we were a family of 4

The rest of the animation team were great and put in a lot of effort. Location: Not great if you like to explore, only one shop within walking distance

Good shuttle bus in to the town. Would not call this resort 5 star but it was nice

To be fair we did call the reception and this was sorted the same day, but nether less still not good enough - room checks should be made as a matter of course - especially in a supposedly 4/5 star resort (by the way you are paying tax for a 5 star - this definitely ISNT ) the bathrooms need ripping out and updating…nothing like sitting on the toilet with your feet on a drain - see pictures/videos...

Pool bar great drinks , good animation team. Cons Restaurant food had a good choice , but food was never hot was only ever Luke warm. Most staff were polite there was two reception staff who were extremely rude

Stayed here for 10 nights in bungalow 77 with a shared swimming pool. The hotel is around a 20 minute walk to the main resort of Kardanena where you will find restaurants, bars, shops and beautiful promenade

The hotel is spread over a medium size area with the main building, swim up apartments, bungalows and family bungalows in different areas

The hotel is extremely clean everywhere and has a large amphitheatre for entertainment, small shop, spa, outside snack bar and pool bar

The food choice and quality was the best I have ever had on any holiday, everything you could think of was on offer including Qyail, rabbit, octopus, several different fish and meats every evening

Fresh pizza made on site, meat and fish cooked in front of you absolutely loved it. Wine, lager and soft drinks available on tap during all meal services but coffee machine only open at breakfast

The hotel also has a swimming pool, but we didn't get a chance to use it during our visit, so I can't comment on that amenity

Rooftop pool is nothing fancy, but nice to have

We found it incredibly convenient to have so many options within a few minutes' walk. The bustling town center is also just a short 5-10 minute stroll away, making it effortless to explore the area's sights and sounds

They were extremely attentive and worked quickly to resolve the problem, which we greatly appreciated. Their professionalism and genuine concern for our comfort were a testament to their excellent customer service

It was a little annoying that we still had to pay a climate tax for the hotel, as I thought they might waive the fee as a courtesy (yes, you need to pay a climate tax when you arrive at the hotel on top of your booking fee)

Room was a good size, comfy bed and all SC facilities if required, fridge, microwave etc. Only slight negative was bathroom which was fine, but bit dated, however considering cost of holiday this was not a problem

Hotel is very clean and tidy, the pool is very large with the bar restaurant overlooking it. Food and drinks are very good and often less expensive than outside

Kos wasn’t up at the top of our list Hotel is somewhat disjointed as there are 5 different buildings and you have to cross roads to go to the pool

Our rooms were comfortable, clean and well positioned close to one of the pools. The grounds of the hotel were attractive and well maintained and there was lots of space for guests around the two pools
